Mojo Monday/MOJO243-Thanks A Bunch

Good morning mojo fans, it is circle or square week at the Mojo Monday Blog.  I hope you will join us in the fun and create something.  If you have never tried a circle card, I challenge you to try it, they are the sweetest and so much fun to make!  I normally use the largest scalloped circle nestie for my base, it is approx. 4 1/4" at the widest part, the same size as a regular A2 card.  I am including the instructions below to help get you started.  I use option #1, I like for the card to be a complete circle when you look at it from the front.  I have played along with the CR84FN color challenge.  I hope your Memorial Day is a blessing....I want to thank each and every person who has served and is serving in our Armed Forces...THANK YOU!  May you have a blessed and honorable day...enjoy!

Circle Card Instructions

I have been asked how I make my circle cards, so I am going to list quick instructions. I am listing two different options
OPTION 1
-cut card stock using the largest circle or scalloped circle nesting label
-score one of the circles on Scor Pal on the first mark(1/2 inch mark) this will be the back part of the card
-decorate the top circle
-put glue on the part above the scored part of the bottom circle and adhere the decorated circle to the bottom
-be sure to line up as much as possible so that your card when free standing is straight

OPTION2
-run a piece of folded card stock through the BIG Shot with a small part exposed above the nesting label
-this option makes it so you do not have to glue, it is held together by the piece that is not cut

I hope this helps, if you need anything else please let me know.

Viva la Verve May 2012 Week 4

Good morning and welcome to the weekend....I luv the weekends!  I am sharing a card I created using today's Viva la Verve sketch created by Maureen.  I was so glad I was able to play along this week, it has been a long time.  The weeks just seem to fly by, don't ya think?  I have used my favorite Verve die, Classy Label  and the stamp set that goes with it; Sweet Treats to create surround my birthday sentiment.  There is a sale going on at Verve, to celebrate the boys, check it out!  My card seems to be prettier in person, you cannot see the clear gems sticking above the roses.  I had to get a new camera, so it is hit and miss until I get it figured out.  I also wanted to let you know that I have been cleaning house again, most of you know I am in the process of organizing my studio(creating space...lol).  Well, with cleaning comes purging....I have listed some great supplies in my Etsy Boutique, be sure to stop by and check them out.  Be kind......have a wonderful weekend...enjoy!

Frill & Funkie Challenge/Masks and Stencils

Good morning, it is time for another fabulous and fun challenge from Frilly & Funkie Challenge Blog.  This week Marjie is our hostess, she has challenges us to stencils and masking.  She has challenged us to use stencils or masks in your artwork.  Use a purchased item or create your own stencil or mask using positive/negative space from die-cuts, stamps or punches.  I have used the Tim Holtz die and cut it from masking sheets and then stamped around it.  I did a little sponging, added the sentiment, and sprayed with Calico White Mr. Huey's.  So sweeeeeet.....I am very happy with my end results!  I have also played along with a couple of challenges listed below.  Have a super fabulous day...enjoy!
