It was going to be the first year our family was not all going to be together. My youngest and myself were sitting at the table and DH was cooking bacon and my DD called and we put her on speaker phone so all could hear/talk. Well my youngest was eating cookies that we always have at Christmas and my oldest said "save some for me" and it took us a second and we said "what" and my oldest said we are on our way to the airport we will be there in a couple hours. DH had bought them tickets so we could all be together, he was so proud he pulled this off he was crying over the bacon!! They spent the whole week and we had a blast, our GD was only 1 at the time.Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04065757657798681927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4032251691135676930.post-38325496151771769822009-07-12T17:08:51.448-04:002009-07-12T17:08:51.448-04:00Hi Teresa! I have had a quick look around yours and your work is lovely, I will have a better look after I have left this message.
My most memorial Christmas was when I was 11, my grandfather had been taken into hospital the week before and was very ill so I was not aloud to see him until Christmas Day as a treat to both of us. I was brought up by my grandparents so they were extra special. On the day in question we arrived at the hospital to see him and I guess I saw a huge difference in him because I walked towards him, held his hand and then promptly fainted. When I woke I was in a bed and Santa was bringing round the present, he kept trying to give me a present and I kept trying to explain I was not a patient but he would not believe me. It sounds so funny now when I think back to it lol.
Kim xXxKim.https://www.blogger.com/profile/14482003855087378075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4032251691135676930.post-34641042478157493412009-07-12T15:59:12.336-04:002009-07-12T15:59:12.336-04:00My favorite Christmas memory is from when I was ab...My favorite Christmas memory is from when I was about 12. All I wanted was a Charolette Hornets Starter jacket. You know the pretty teal and purple one. Well, I had gotten all of my presents and that wasn't one of them. I was sad, but then my dad went into the bedroom and came out "modeling" my new jacket. It was awesome! I have to say, I love Christmas. Looking back there are so many memorable moments. I will share one from my childhood. I have always been known to be a "cookie monster," and one year our great aunt made gingerbread boy shaped Christmas ornaments out of spice cookies(my favorite). I don't know how old I was maybe 4 or 5, and when I saw these ornaments on the tree....I snuck around to the back of the Christmas tree and just had to take a nibble. I know, looking back, eewww gross! But at the time I thought they were pretty tasty!

Thank you for the opportunity to win some blog candy, you make beautiful cards! We lived in Hawaii in the "boonies" and there was an old abandoned Norfolk Pine forest that we would go to each year and cut our tree from. Some of my friends thought our tree was funny looking not being the traditional pine, but I loved it as it was a tradition and something we had each put a little of ourself into.

Wonderful giveaway:) Hugs to you!Leahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926568319603711970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4032251691135676930.post-63139123479699612352009-07-11T19:24:24.962-04:002009-07-11T19:24:24.962-04:00My most memorable Christmas would be when I was 5 ...My most memorable Christmas would be when I was 5 (ages ago!) and I woke up to it snowing outside. Every year since I've had children (my oldest will be 7 in Nov.) has been my most memorable simply because of the excitement I see in his face over everything. We do a lot of traditions and one of my faves is the Christmas Tree Elves. Each year when we decorate the tree "santa" comes that night and drops off some elves that stay in the tree and watch over the presents and report back to Santa whether the kids are being good or bad. At night while we sleep the elves come out and play with things around the house and they leave a little poop trail wherever they go. The elves only eat sweets so their poop is actually red & green M&M's. My son loves coming out every morning to see what the elves have been up to and where the poop trail is! LOL Sometimes they leave him notes or pictures but usually they just play with his stuff!Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03905828342758330469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4032251691135676930.post-69775485170059004012009-07-11T19:09:41.492-04:002009-07-11T19:09:41.492-04:00Hi Teresa! Wow... my favorite Christmas memory... well... that depends on whether you mean when I was a kid or ever. I guess my favorite memory is one Christmas when our daughter thought Christmas presents were done... we let her try on her new clothes, etc. and then we suddenly remembered there was something missing... She had to go on a hunt ... and at the end she found her first computer ... and some games to play on it. In those days that was 90% of what one did with computers! She was so surprised she cried. It's the only Christmas I remember her being that excited that she cried. We've been blessed with many happy Christmases... but that one stands out.
