hello friends, today is friday for a lot of  people; me being one of them...a good ole three day easter weekend is planned for us....a little creating, diy, church, easter meal, and some r&r. I have used the awesome simon says stamp april card kit for my card to day, it is full of all kinds of goodies! I have used laurel's sketchy saturday sketch for my card, check her sketches out too! I invested in the amazing homemade watercolors from rachel, designs by rachel beth...so luv these paints! What an extravagant splurge they are, but sometimes we deserve it! I have used a plaid stencil from carta bella to apply embossing paste. the leaves, butterflies, and sentiment are all from the card kit. created this super cute card with the simon says stamp may card kit, you can get yours here. To insure you get a card kit every month, sign up for the monthly subscription here. The kit this month as a couple of sheets of acetate images, words, and letters. I knew I wanted to create a 4 bar sized card and the sweet sentiment/image piece was the perfect size for a 4 bar sized card. To achieve the size I cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 card stock to 3 1/2 x 9 3/4 and then score on the long side at 4 7/8....I like the taller sized cards...so, so cute! Super simple,. I then added a few pieces of the designer paper included in the kit, some white twine and enamel dots.

I have created this card using the simon says stamp july card kit...it is amazing! I have used a sheet of the sweet designer paper from pink fresh studio and then stamped the flowers from the stamp set overtop, it appears to be part of the paper...I think....I luv the simple but dramatic look! wonderful time of year

What a great way to start the year, with a simon says stamp card kit. There are so many possibilities for quick and easy cards. Having a card kit delivered to your door is a snappy way to create cards of kindness to share with others. I have used the card kit for january 2016, I know; I can't believe I just typed 2016 either....lol. I die cut the main scene with the simon says stamp stitched rectangle dies. Tied some bakers twine and the sweet iridescent snowflakes and added the lily white glitter sprinkles to the center.
