A Little Thing Called Happiness

I played along with several fun challenges and I must say I luv'd them all! The sketch is amazing, the colors are my favorite(had to add the addition of gold, I am sooooo luvin it), spring, and today's SCS was to be inspired by something of your own. I was inspired by the eggs I glittered for Easter, you can see them on my Istagram. I so adored the eggs Stef created in this post, I ordered blue eggs since my new open kitchen is blue/green and used gold glitter to decorate them. The paper and run on is from the Simon Says Stamp April Card Kit.....I adore the gold Bazzil paper pack, ordered the pad.....*grin*. Add a little glitter to your life....sparkle & shine!

Light It Up For Autism Awareness

I am joining the sweet Tenia Nelson in her effort to bring awareness to Autism! You can join the fun here, all you need to do is make a card using blue...in my case I have used blue/green. There are lots of prizes to be won, be sure to link up your card here! Also, if you use Instagram use #liub so we can see your card there too!

I looked up some facts about Autism, I learned a lot in doing so; I hope you take the time to learn something too in our effort to help

April Is National Autism Awareness Month

The information below was taken from the National Autism Association website.

Autism Facts & Stats
  • Autism now affects 1 in 68 children
  • Boys are four times more likely to have autism than girls
  • About 40% of children with autism do not speak. About 25%–30% of children with autism have some words at 12 to 18 months of age and then lose them. Others might speak, but not until later in childhood
  • Autism greatly varies from person to person (no two people with autism are alike)
  • The rate of autism has steadily grown over the last twenty years
  • Comorbid conditions often associated with autism include Fragile X, allergies, asthma, epilepsy, bowel disease, gastrointestinal/digestive disorders, persistent viral infections, PANDAS, feeding disorders, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, ADHD, Tourette Syndrome, OCD, sensory integration dysfunction, sleeping disorders, immune disorders, autoimmune disorders, and neuroinflammation.
  • Autism is the fastest growing developmental disorder, yet most underfunded
  • A 2008 Danish Study found that the mortality risk among those with autism was nearly twice that of the general population
  • Children with autism do progress – early intervention is key
  • Autism is treatable, not a hopeless condition

Find Joy

I have played along with Colour Me, Cardabilities, and Triple The Scrap Scripture Challenge. I need a tag for a gift bag; I am donating cards for a silent auction and I like to put them in gift bags and add a tag....two for one, cards plus a gift bag and tag. The awesome sentiment is from a My Favorite Things stamp set. The second scripture challenge word is representative, Gods word tells us that we should show is love in action and in truth. 1 John 3:18 "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

The first word for the scripture challenge is trust, I was inspired by the song "Tis Sweet To Trust In Jesus' and by Psalm 84:12....."O Lord of hosts, Blessed is the man who trusts in you!"  Here is the direct link to this years first challenge. To trust in the Lord is to have no worry, which brings forth lots of freedom, how sweet it is!

Be Amazing

I am super excited to share with you my first experience with the NEW Chameleon Pens, thank you Chameleon for providing them to me! My review is my own and I have not been told to say anything other than my honest opinion. Be sure to check out all the reviews and the Chameleon gallery over at SCS. Here is my review....

Chameleon Pens, Blend!

By Teresa Kline
There are many great features to these Chameleon alcohol pens. The design, the awesome storage box, the ease of blending, the price, and the beauty of your creations... a lot to appreciate. Let me start with the storage box. I am all about packaging, and Chameleon has made these beautiful and functional...totally love the storage box; it's great for storing and for traveling! The price is so affordable for alcohol pens! They are available in the entire 22 pen set, sets of five, or singles; the choice is up to you.

As far as the blending, I was honestly thrilled at how easy these are to use. I would not consider myself someone with advanced coloring skills, but the pen does the blending once it has been fused. Each pen has its own fusion chamber and all you do is fuse (touch) the color nib and the mixing nib. The longer you hold it, the lighter the color will be at the start of your coloring. Super easy and super fun! Use any quality coloring card stock with your Chameleon Pens and let the enjoyment begin!

Chameleon Pens are a specialty, they really are an all in one coloring tool! I cannot wait to see what YOU create with your Chameleon Pens, blend!

Here are some links from SCS, be sure to check them out and play along with the Chameleon challenges too!
