To Comfort You

Good morning, I am sharing with you today I sympathy card I made; I really need to keep more of these on hand.  I used the stamps from JustRite, called Sympathy Nested Sentiments....which happens to be on sale.  I luv what this says, I always feel like I cannot say enough to express how sorry I am for the loved one.  I also used the new Spellbinders made for JustRite, you have got to pick yours up.  I have always wanted something to make corner tabs or the photo corners....I used the set here for this card.  There is another set too, you can see it here.  I cannot wait to see what the future holds for JustRite and Spellbinders...woohoo!  I did a little spongin, stitching, added the beautiful May Arts Lace Trim and ribbon.  The sweet butterflies complete my soothing sympathy card.  I used the Curtain Call Colors.  I hope you have a wonderful inspiring day....enjoy!

Once again, I have some heartfelt thank you notes to send out after Christmas......I have been so very blessed again this year!  I used my JustRite sets, In The Moonlight and Decorative Borders set.  The In the Moonlight set is adorable...I used the sentiment from that set.  It has a cute image too, so be sure to check it out.  I used Memento Tuxedo Black Ink to stamp the border and SU old olive for the sentiment.  I added buttons, stitching, and olive trim.  The circles where cut with the Spellbinders Circle Nesties and Blossom Nesties.  I used a Sizzix embossing folder for the black card base.  I used the colors from the Color Q, CQC65 , CAS99, and the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketch Challenge, ICS95.  I have been creating and chillin this week, a real pleasure and dh is home with me to boot....yippie!  Have a super week and thank you so much for your comments and visits, they mean so much to me!  Enjoy.

Mojo Monday Sketch-Love and Life

Good morning, I hope your Christmas was wonderful and you made some great memories this year.  We had wonderful family times, it was fun and exciting!  We also got a little snow, not as much as the north eastern part of the states(I will take a little of what they are getting though, I know my friend Wanda is saying "NO"...hi Wanda *waving*)  On to today's Mojo Monday Sketch, this week it is circle or square.  I luv this square sketch, I will surely be using it in the very near future.  I used the sentiment from the last Verve release called Text Objects and it is on sale.  Speaking of sale, all the Verve stamps are on sale; be sure to head over to the Verve store and check it out...woohoo.  I used the heart shape die Nestie and sponged around to give the shape of a heart and then I stamped the sentiment over top, I added paper flowers and SU ribbon and lace to complete my little circle card.  Super easy, but I really like the affect of the sponging.  I hope you have a great week, I plan on getting some creating in as well a more r and r.  I luv to go and get out, but I also enjoy being in, especially when it has been as cold and windy as it has been here.  I do have a day trip of shopping planned with my girlfriends...yippie....luv that!  If you play along be sure to add the keyword Mojo171 to online galleries and link your fabulous creation to the Mojo Monday Blog.....enjoy!

Viva la Verve/Wonderful Time Of Year

Happy Friday and Christmas Eve, I know many of you will be starting the family festivities, but I hope you can make time to squeeze in the Viva la Verve sketch.  The divas are giving Amber a little break this month and I am bringing you this weeks sketch.  I used the Verve Christmas release for this card.  I adore the Vintage Oval Frame, I cut a mat to be able to layer my sentiment panel.  I added stitching, beautiful May Arts ribbon, and rounded the corners.  You could win the entire Verve release that will take place on January 7, you have to get all of the sketches for December completed and uploaded to the Champion Thread to be eligible.  I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, thank you so much for your continued support and encouragement!  I am sooo excited about 2011 and I look forward to creating with you through the year...enjoy!

The paper is My Mind's Eye and it is called Tickled Pink Fine & Dandy.  I added zig zag stitching and a gorgeous embellishment from Webster's Pages.   I hope you day is going well...enjoy!

Sweet Ellie

Hello friends, I am a little late getting a creation to you today.  I have busy cleaning, wrapping gifts, and designing some last minute tags and cards.  I do enjoy the hustle and bustle just a bit, I do not let it stress me, I try to enjoy the Christmas cheer!  I am sharing this adorable elephant from JustRite called Ellie Time, isn't that the cutest face, so sweet.  I added a glass glittery heart in his hands, a carnival ticket with the sentiment "I love you".  I distressed the edges, added stitching, and curled the corner in for more texture and detail.  I used the copic paper X-Press for the main image.  I heat embossed it using Judikins embossing powder
and then colored the image with copics.  I used today's SC312 and the Color Q, CQC64 colors.  I want to encourage you to remain calm during the next couple of days, the only thing that matters is each other and remembering the real reason we celebrate Christmas.  The birth of Christ, our Lord and Savior.  Enjoy.

LOVE

I had to squeeze in another post for you to see, I wanted to play along with today's CC302; to use black, red, and white.  I might use these colors the rest of the week, they are gorgeous!  I might also make Valentine/Love cards the rest of the week too.....hehehehe.  I have to admit; love, hearts, smitten, Valentine, hugs & kisses they are my favorite creations to make...you have heard me say it before...."I love, love."  I am such a hopeless romantic, I tell my dh all the time....every movie is really a love story of sorts.  He will be watching one of his shoot em up movies and somebody is falling in love amongst the gun fire...lol.  I also started out using the sketch from Card Patterns #95, it got a little off during the  love scenes..lol.  The "love" sentiment and the adorable flourishes on the side are all Verve(see below for exact sets) stamps.  Enjoy.

You're In My Thoughts!

Good morning, I am counting down the days until Christmas, I still have right much to do.  My dh has to work today and tomorrow and then he will be off with me.....yippie!  We will have to hit an Olive Garden while we are off, it is one of our favorite places to eat.
I have another card to share, just like I promised(trying to share something every day this week).  I have been back and forth between Christmas cards and general cards, trying to mix things up a bit.  Today's card I used the adorable flower from a newest Verve release set called Amazing Wishes and the heart is from the set Text Objects, I luv this set!  It has some of the sweetest quotes written in text form, perfect for backgrounds or inked lightly behind a main image and they both are all sale...woohoo.  This is a super simple card, I added some yummy white lace trim sent to me by Piali(waving and sending hugs), thank you so much girl...you are a sweetheart!  Did you here she will be guest designing for Verve in January....eeeeekkkk...so glad to have you!  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL121 and the CAS98, to be inspired by this so cute apron.  I hope your day is productive and fun...enjoy!

Mojo Monday Sketch-Happy Birthday

Good morning mojo makers, it is time for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo170I have been wanting to use the cream colored fabric flowers I just purchased.  I thought the half circle at the top of the sketch was perfect for one, I also added a bling embellishment.  I used the one of the Pink Paislee Ornament Elements for the sentiment....these are so elegant and fun....you can even sponge and distress them too.  The birthday sentiment is from the Verve Big Wish set.  I stitched the top panel and added silky black ribbon, the stitching is also today's TLC304 challenge.  Well, yesterday I told you that I would have a creation for everyday this week, this is Day 1, be sure to check in tomorrow for another creation!  Have a super Monday, this will be a great week...life is really what you make it, make yours fabulous...enjoy!

Dreaming of A White Christmas

I created this for the Dirty Dozen Sketch Challenge and the theme challenge of music.  I have been singing "I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas."  We got snow a couple of days ago and it has been so cold that there is still snow on the ground; that might have to do, but I would really like to have fresh snow...hehehe.  I used the Curtain Call Colors Act61.  I will be home this week and plan on posting something every day....now that I have told you that I will have to stick to it...lol.  I used the gorgeous snowflakes from the Verve set Glad Tidings and the sentiment is from the set Merry Wishes.  I added glitter to the snowflakes, I can hardly make naked snowflakes anymore...hehehehe.....I am so luvin chunky glitter.  I used stitching and my EK Success border punch on the bottom.  I tied it with bakers twine, I figured I had better start using the bakers twine instead of collecting it.  I finished it off with a SU button.  Make the most of your day and time with family, the days go by so quickly...enjoy!
