hello and welcome to fri -YAY and the weekend...hope you have something fun planned with the fam, the hubs and I will get into something for sure! I simply luv this time of year, it makes me feel so alive....I am not a fan of halloween/scary so I have created an alternative to this week as you see it challenge...to make it a fallish card. If you are like me, please feel free to create a fall theme card! I have used the adorable paper smooches owl and paired it with some glittery leaves from the stamp market. I then added gold glittery stars, these are also from paper smooches...my all time favorite star dies!

well, it is safe to say I had a blast creating my little autumn postcard and I also added a little giftie set(see below). I am luvin the aqua polka dotted fabric with the warm colors of the leaves...I think it really adds so much! I have used the gorgoeus fall leaves from the stamp market; I started off with white fabrics, stained them with tim holtz distress inks, I then sprayed them with the amazing terial arts fabric stabilizer....luv how this works and changes the fabric to be like paper! I then stamped the leaves onto the fabric and then die cut them out.....gorgoeus! I am luvin the look of the leaves against the aqua polka dots so I kept my postcard simple! The leaves I used for my fall giftie are below, check them out too!
If you want to start at the beginning of the hop head over to the CardMaker blog and be sure to head to the Terial Arts site to check out the amazing fabric stabilizer!
I used a kraft colored berry basket, added the leaves, tag and twine...tucked inside is bite size turtle brownies!

I have used the awesoem flower set from the stamp market called watercolor bouquet stamp set. I was inspired by the gorgoeus photo at inpsired by...luv the flowers against the navy dress. The sweet sentiment is from the simon says stamp set called brush stroke. I have added gold sequins and twine, super fun card to create! I am luvin using press n seal wrap for placing a collage of flowers and leaves like this.....makes it so easy to design! If you have not used it or not sure what I am talking about, check out this video here. happy creating!

Have you been playing along with the scs fallidays challenges.....they are a blast...join us here for all the fun! I have created this for one of the fun challenges today. I do not believe I have ever used distress inks quite like this before and I luv it! I usually spray the stamp with water after being inked before stamping. This technique you spray the stamped image after stamping onto watercolor paper and I luv how the ink runs together...so fun! I have used the sweet fun florals flower set from the stamp market for today's card.

I was inspired by the inspired by photo this week, so soft and pretty with a hint of dark brown. I used tim hotlz distressed ink to create the watercolor splash background. I have used sticker words for my sentiment, "there is know one just like you" luv this! I tied it with burlap twine for a bit of a rustic look....sweet card, love the colors and hearts!
