I had such fun with this card, it is for a very special coworker, I hope t means as much to her as it did me. I have created the watercolor b&w stripes using tim holtz distress ink and a paint brush, I luv creating this sorta background more than using b&w designer paper. I stamped the flowers using various colors of altenew blue inks to created a fun watercolor looking flower...no watercoloring. Altenew makes it so easy to create beautiful flowers using their build a flower stamp sets, looks amazing! I hope you have a wonderful hump day, the weekend cannot come soon enough!

I had such fun with this weeks card, I adore this stamp set and dies, you can create so many flower combos with lots of flowers and leaves or just a few. I have used altenew inks and prima confection pans for coloring. I also added a bit of stickles on top of the blooms and a few clear sequins. The simon doll pink card stock is gorgoeus and matches the altenew purple wine ink perfectly! I can't wait to see what you create this week!

The design team is showcasing non other than altenew...talk about fantastic florals! Don't forgot every week at Simon Says Stamp we give away a $50 voucher...wooohooo....now that is worth playing for!

I had a blast with this weeks card, I used a fun tim holtz lattice stencil for the background, I am playing along with inspired by and I luv the contrast in the photo; tried to replicate it with my card. I used one single bloom and watercolored it with prima confection pans. The birthday sentiment is from a simon set and I added a few my mind's eye enamel dots. I did not have any altenew inks, but I may or may not have ordered more than half of them...aaannnnd I may or may not order the rest this week *grin*...I hear so much good about those inks, so I am giving them a try..cannot wait to share! Today's card is all about raising awareness against domestic violence, the amazing becca cruger had put it all together and there are prizes too. I have used the gorgeous altenew flower beautiful day. The background was created with ken oliver starburst..so vibrant and pretty! The uplifting sentiment is from hero arts set called you are my happy. I thought it was fitting for any of us who need to hear those words! Play along to help becca share and help put a stop to domestic violence!

You see, purple is the color of National Domestic Violence Awareness month. 

1 in 3 women will experience domestic violence over the course of their lifetimes. 

Let that sink in - 33% of all the women you meet. 

Women between the ages of 15 and 44 are more likely to be injured or die as a result of domestic violence, than through rapes, muggings and car accidents combined.

And women aren't the only people who are affected! Women, men, transgender - gender doesn't matter. Domestic violence is something that exists regardless of gender, socioeconomic status, religion, education level, etc.

And yet, it's something that is rarely talked about in very public ways. It's something that's hidden and hushed. And since paper crafters are some of the most amazing people out there, some of you have agreed to make a card (or cards) to raise awareness for this issue.Together, we CAN make a powerful impact.

There is nothing better that YOU....I am honored by your comments and encouragement! I feel so very blessed and I luv to share with YOU my readers. I am starting early with the birthday month giveaways. Next month is my birthday month and I always have a giveaway every week of the month....for my birthday I like to share my goodness with YOU! I have played along with the prima marketing 30 day color challenge, this is day 2 blending...I am still learning to use my prima paints. I have used the altenew flower and prima pencils for this challenge!

To start the giveaway, I am giving away lots of old Verve stamps, only because I need to make room and clear out...I am extremely neat and must keep things moving! This is the very first time I have ever gotten rid of any of my beloved Verve....sniff, sniff. When I say beloved I mean it, these stamps are highly stained and used. The picture below is what's up for grabs, two different people will get one of each of the stacks. Hello and welcome to the simon says stamp wednesday challenge. We are challenging you to masking, a fun technique that makes your images look so life like! Check out this link and the video for an example of masking. The design team is using products from altenew. Don't forgot every week at Simon Says Stamp we give away a $50 voucher...wooohooo....now that is worth playing for!

I wanted the flower from altenew to look as if it was on the stem, so I masked the leaves to the flower and popped it up with pops dots. I watercolored the background for a water look. I added the twine and sentiment with a few clear gems. There are lots of ways to mask, if you would like to learn more, you can always sign up for the mask-erade class here. If only there were more hours in a day and I did not have a day job....teeehehehe. Be sure to check out the other team members blogs to see how they used masking.
