Good morning, it is round or square week at Mojo Monday and you know I adore those sweet little circle cards!  I like using the Spellbinders Blossom Nesties for the base.  I also played along with Dynamic Duos color challenge....sweet colors!  The sentiment is from the Verve set Words Cannot Express and it is on sale...woohoo!  I added a sweet heart using the A Cut Above by Verve Wavy Heart Die, luv the shape.  I glittered it up and added a bow and burlap, totally cute!  I hope you have a wonderful start to your week, I am preparing for our Dinner Theater that our church will be performing this Thursday and Friday...enjoy!

Enjoy

This is my final post as part of the Winter SCS CAS Team, it has been a quick journey.  I want to go out with a little bang, making my card bold and vibrant....*grin* I have used washi tape, totally luv using tape, it is so cool.  This weeks challenge is to use only line stamps, the sweet hearts I used are from the Verve stamps set Borderline and the "enjoy" sentiment is from the set Surely Goodness.  My card is also a one layer card, not sure if I have ever done that before...lol.  A whole lot of color and fun, I am so ready for spring, never mind the fact we got several inches of snow today...lol.  I hope you have a great evening...enjoy!

Glitz-Stuck On You

Hello glitz girls, we are showcasing stickers this week...stuck on you!  I adore the glitz stickers, heavy quality paper and very sticky.  I like to use pop dots under them to give depth.

I have used the Uncharted Waters sticker for this one and of course the Teeny Alphas, I know you have heard this before, but I cannot tell you how much I adore these! I added a paper layer under the sticker and heart; this is a gorgeous piece of musical paper.  I also used, lace, seam binding, and a few little extras to give my card personality.  The Giant Rhinestone brings it all together!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designer Paper: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Stickers: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Paper Layers: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Teeny Alphas: Love You Madly/Gray
Glitz Giant Rhinestones: Uncharted Waters

For my next card a kept it a little on the softer side, I adore this paper and these colors...sweet combo!

I have used the Love You Madly stickers on this one, using half of the doily sticker and left it peeking up above the ribbon.  I used pop dots to show case the main sentiment and of course the Teeny Alphas again...*grin*.  I used lace, seam binding, and bakers twine on this card; so fun and girly.  I sure hope I have inspired you to create today and use those stickers, it makes creating fun and easy!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

March Verve Diva Dare - Day 10

Hello peeps, it is Teresa and I am so thrilled to be sharing my take on this months Diva Dare.  I am sure by now you know we are spotlighting divas Laurie Schmidlin from Just Give Me Stamps and Maureen Plut from Buttons and Bling.

I wanted to use a couple of creating traits from each diva and one that was similar.  I have used from Laurie's style, the warm colors and rounded corners; from Maureen's style I used bling and buttons.  I noticed that both of these divas use hearts a lot, that makes me happy..*grin*; so I went with a main heart show casing the scripture from the Verve set Surely Goodness. I have used papers from My Mind'a Eye collection Unforgettable.

I sure hope you will take the Verve Diva Dare, I look forward to seeing how you interrupt both of their styles! There are two divas left to share, tomorrow and Monday; stop back by and check out whats to come. You have until March 27 to upload your creation and to comment on each divas creation for your chance at winning! Winners will be announced on Thursday, March 28th.

Finally, noted below are two ways you can win some shiny new Verve!

Morning By Morning

Hi friends, I am sharing tomorrow my CAS212 from SCS, this week we are to use the poppy cake below...gorgeous!  I do not have any poppy stamps, so I went with the colors and the elegance.  I also used the Monday Lunchtime sketch, it was perfect for my card.  I wanted a contrast between the bold colors.  The sentiment is Verve and it is from the set New Mercies and it is on sale...woohoo! I am going to remember this every morning this week, "morning by morning new mercies I see." I hope you have a wonderful week...enjoy!

Enjoy Today

Hello friends, I want to share a CAS card with you as well as some other sad news; I have been quite sad this week.  We had to put our 8 year Boxer, Jesse down this past Wednesday. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with death several times this year.  I choose the sentiment, "enjoy today" I have come to know how important it is to enjoy today, we are not guaranteed tomorrow!  We found out at the end of January Jesse had cancer, I know you cannot replace animals but for the last 16 years I have had always had a boxer; sometimes two(I totally luv this breed). I contacted a guy at the end of January to enquire if he had any, he said no and I thought no more about it.  Jesse kept getting worse and we knew the time had come, we took her Wednesday.  I was totally shocked when the guy I contacted in January contacted me Thursday to tell me he had a litter of Boxers and they where born on Wednesday, I knew we had to go look at them.  We went today and have decided on one, her name is Lexi and we will be able to bring her home on May 8.  We cannot replace sweet Jesse and even in our sadness we look forward to bringing Lexi home!

Distressing Step x Step

Hello Glitz peeps, I am sharing a quick and easy way to distress your cards.  I really like the personality it gives a card; the shabby, vintage look that I adore!

I use a tiny scrap piece of paper to distress and layer, if you like adding a little summin, summin this is a great way to do it.  It is a easy way to add a splash of color too.  I distress the two sides that will be shown, I distressed three sides on this one, wasn't thinking...there is no need to do that.

On the side, I tore a piece a little deeper into the card, luv this look!

Here is the distressing tool I used on this card.  I have many ways of distressing I use a file sometimes, a sanding block, and I have been known to use my fingernail too..lol.

Here is the back of the card with the two tiny pieces of scraps glued down.  No need to use a whole sheet of paper, use up those scraps!

Here is the final card with the edges distressed and the corner curled down, totally cute!

Another card showing a piece completely torn out on the corner.  On the right side of this card, I have torn the designer paper away from the back side to show even more rawness of the paper. There are lots of ways to distress, let's your imagination run wild!

Glitz-Go Green

Hello Glitz fans, we are going green, green is my favorite color!  I was so happy to create for this weeks challenge!  I luv using the color green, but I also like using recycled items too.

I am a huge fan of the Glitz Teeny Alphas, I use them every chance I get.  I paired the teeny alphas with the large peek-a-boo ampersand to make my own sentiment. I really like the way my card turned out, lots of green...*grin*.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Designer Paper: Color Me Happy
Glitz What Nots: Love You Madly
Glitz Peek-A-Boo: Uncharted Waters
Glitz Teeny Alphas: Uncharted Waters Aqua Stripe

I had such fun going green, I used a Starbucks coffee sleeve to make my sweet little birthday tag.  I used lots of the color green on this one too, so cute!

I used the Uncharted Water Teeny Alphas to make the birthday sentiment.  Glitz Tape, button, lace, doily, and burlap string.
I created the back too, I could not stop creating!  I cut out a heart, added a giant rhinestone, and sweet tickets.  I hope you are inspired to create summin and use those things we throw away to get you started!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Thinking Of You

Hello peeps, I am so glad it is the weekend, I have had a super busy week!  I have been in the studio creating all day, I wanted to create something to share.  I went with a quick CAS card using the awesome CAS(E) sketch.  I also wanted to use my favorite color, green; I have not been able to put green down lately.  Did you know that green is the first color mentioned in the Bible?  It is, the scripture is below.  Green is my dh's favorite color too, we agree most times when it comes to color. I like green paired with another favorite color...pink...*grin*.  My inspiration for my card today came from those colors....green and pink!  Have a wonderful evening...enjoy!

Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.                                                     Genesis 1:30
