Forever True Friends

Hi friends, the New Year is upon us...yippee!  I wanted to share a card I made to play along with yesterdays SCS featured stamper, Sabrina!  She is so deserving on FS308, I choose her card here to CASE.  I have used the True Friends collection from Glitz...luv the papers and embellies in this set!  I sponged the doily and layered all the sweet embellies on a heart on top of the doily   I added a burlap bow.  Have a wonderful evening, be safe....enjoy!

Mojo Monday/MOJO274 Be Yourself

Good morning, it is Mojo Monday circle square week, my favorite time of the month!  I adore making these circle cards and went with the largest Spellbinders scalloped circle for the base.  I used the sweet polka dotted paper from Peebles, the collection is called Walnut Grove.  I found this adorable paper pack at my LSS, I have not seen this brand before.  I used the Verve stamp set Lean on Me the circle shape is a Verve die called Scalloped Flower Die.  The best thing, they both are on sale!  Julee is having a huge sale, head on over and do some shopping; the sale ends today!  Also, I have listed lots of cards in my Etsy Boutique be sure to stop by and pick something up!  I can't wait to see what you create and have a fabulous New Years...enjoy!

You Are A Blessing

I quick card to play along with the challenge from yesterday at SCS, it was an inspiration challenge.  I was inspired by the tags/flags, I adore flags, banner,s and tags.  I luv grouping them together like I did for the top of my card.  I loosely used the sketch from 365, I turned it upside down.  I stamped the simple sentiment and then added a glittered heart with a button...tooooo cute and super simple!  Hope you are having a wonderful day....enjoy!

Soar .....into 2013!

Good morning peeps, I have a shabby/chic card to share with you.  I have played along with Jen's Deconstructed sketch and the gals from Color Q.....I totally luv the colors together!  The soar sentiment is from a Teresa Collins stamp set, I luv this sentiment; it makes me think of Soaring into 2013!   The papers come from various paper packs; I was doing a little mixing and matching!  I luv trying to see what papers I can pair up together, I luv the look of mixed patterns.  Any plans for the New Year?  We will be keeping it low key; perhaps some time with friends, a very laid back get together and home before midnight to watch the ball drop.  Whatever you plan be safe and have fun!  I hope you have a wonderful day...enjoy!

Waltzingmouse Sketch/WMSC129 My Heart

Good morning, it is time for this weeks Waltzingmouse Sketch.  It is also time to say goodbye to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge; this will be out last sketch.  I am super excited to see what 2013 holds for Claire and WM...yeah for new adventures!  I had such fun with this weeks sketch, it may be because I made it a "love" card using the new Waltzingmouse Stamp set, My Heart!  Now, the Waltzingmouse Stamps are shipping from the USA and the shipping is super fast, you will luv that!  Once I cut out the heart shape, I ran my scissors over the edges to give it a distressed look.  I glittered the heart, added some sweet embellies and there you have my card.  I cannot wait to see what you create...have fun...enjoy!

Viva la Verve-Love You {lots}

Hi friends, I hope you are having a great day,; have you spent your Christmas money yet?  Did you get any good after Christmas deals?  I went out yesterday but really was not looking for after Christmas things, just picking up necessities.  I am sharing the first Viva la Verve sketch for 2013, Amber has switched things up a bit and added a optional inspiration photo.  I adore these colors together   You can get all the details here.  I have used the Verve set No Matter What, I sponged around the sweet heart flowers, it looks very bold here but IRL is not as bold.  I used the heart to make flowers and added the sentiment at the top.  I hope you have a wonderful day, it calls for more snow tonight...yippee....I don't have to work so all is good...enjoy!

Christmas Glitz Design

Good morning peeps, I do hope your Christmas was peaceful, merry, and full of love!  I am sharing a couple of cards that I created for Christmas.

The Joyeux Noel papers are so gorgeous and trendy.  I adore the stripes and the green patterned paper, very elegant.  The mix of papers on this fun shaped cardboard whatnot piece is stunning.  I added a stamped sentiment to the center, the gorgeous tulle ribbon and rusty jingle bells pull it all together.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper: Joyeux Noel
Glitz Design Whatnots: Joyeux Noel

Isn't this paper adorable?  It reminds me of the vintage wall paper from way back when...teehehe...I about to show my age...lol.  I luv the added lace, stitching, and seam binding together pull the vintage fell all together!

This "joy" piece is from the title stickers, it really added to the style of my card.  I added pop dots for depth and glitter coated the jingle bells.  This year I have spray painted my own jungle bells and then coated them with gorgeous fine glitter.  I have had so much fun picking colors and adding them to my Christmas creations.

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Mojo Monday/MOJO273 Thank You

Good morning friends, happy Christmas Eve!  I sure hope your Christmas is filled with lots of love and happiness.  The festivities started for us several days ago, it is sooo hard to fit everything in on one day, so we start early.   I have created a thank you card, I will be sending out lots of these in the coming days. I had the pre printed bird image, so that made my card super easy and quick to complete.  The Verve sentiment is from the set Making A Statement.  I hope you have a wonderful day...Merry Christmas to you and your family...enjoy!

Glitz Design-Sweet Circle Memory Keepsake Step x Step

Hello Glitz friends, I am so thrilled to be sharing my step x step with you!  It is girly, sweet, and very simple to recreate, my kinda of gift!  I am not much of a hoarder, but do find myself not wanting to throw some things out.  The Laughing Cow boxes are one of those things, I eat these a lot with a few crackers; a "just enough snack" that is not fattening!

Here is the Laughing Cow box in it's original state, this is my favorite one...yummy!

First, I painted the sides and a small portion of the top with white acrylic paint.  Them I rubbed it with a fine grit piece of sand paper, very lightly...not abrasive.  Just enough so that a marbled under color starts to appear.  I then added Tim Holtz fine glitter to the sides and part of the top, so that the shape you use for the top does not show any of the original box color.

I used the Spellbinders Big Scalloped Circle Die shape, the largest one in the set.  It fits perfect on top and on the inside, I cut thin pieces of card board to use for a base of each page.  I used tweed ribbon and glued two pieces of the card board base to each side and gluing to the inside of the box bottom, so that they fold out accordion style.

I then cut out the gorgeous Glitz Hello Friend Collection papers to adhere to each piece of card board and started putting my pages together.  I used The Hello Friend.....Stamp Set,  Cardstock Stickers, Transparency Pieces, Puffy Word Stickers, Transparent Stickers with Jewels, Cardstock Whatnot Pieces, Paper Layers, Teeny Alphabet Stickers, and Gathered Crepe Trim.

I then adhere each page to the card board base and my sweet little circle memory keepsake was coming together.  It is soooo girly and sweet, the Hello Friend Collection makes it all possible!

Here are the pages, showing both sides as it folds up into the sweet circle box.  The flower page is my favorite, I totally adore the heart flowers!  The original idea came from Vicki Chriman shown here.

More pages here, the page on the right is the last page of the book and it is clued to the bottom of the box.

The opened box, showing the first page with the sweet little butterfly from the Hello Friend Rubber Stamp set.  The tweed ribbon tab to the right, lift to open the sweet scalloped pages.

The top of the box with seam binding ribbon bow and a Glitz Giant Rhinestone, perfect for gift giving.  A sweeet gift for a girl of any age!
I hope you like my refurbished Laughing Cow Sweet Circle Memory Keepsake Box.  You still have time to create one for your friend, daughter, granddaughter, or even yourself!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Christmas Glitz Design

Merry Christmas to all of my glitz friends!  You still have time to create a few Christmas cards and the Glitz Joyeux Noel collection make it gorgeous and fun!  I have created a more CAS styled card and some gift card holders.

I have used the fabulous star from the Whatnots pack and added a huge kraft colored button.  I used the title sticker for my sentiment and then I added a few glimmer stars.  I adore the mix of old and new, some sweet pom pom trim added to the sentiment complete my card.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper Pack: Joyeux Noel
Glitz Design Title Stickers: Joyeux Noel
Glitz Design Whatnots:  Joyeux Noel

These are gift cards holders, perfect for this Christmas gift giving season.  These tags are from the Whatnots pack too.

A simple piece of lace and a burlap bow added make these simply homemade. I adore the green piece of paper in the Joyeux Noel paper pack.

Here is the gift card pocket shown with the gift card tucked inside.  A cute way to give those gift cards.

Have a peaceful Christmas, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Jesus, The True Gift

This is a CAS card I created to play along in a few challenges.  I luv the challenge over at CASology,  I immediately thought about Jesus as the true gift of Christmas!  I used the sweet CAS sketch from Feeling Sketchy and of course this fits the challenge at Word art Wednesday.  I have used die cut stars that I embossed and then sponged with Tim Holtz distressed ink.  A few lines of scoring, it is hard to see and then the burlap bow.  The stamps are from Verve, the set Richly Blessed which is on sale!

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
