Believe The Best

Happy weekend friends, I want to share the nice sale going on in my Etsy Boutique, 20% off your entire purchase...use the code FALL20 at check out.  I have created  this card so I could play along with a few fun challenges....I confess; I am a challenge junkie...lol.  Nothing gets my creative juices flowing more than a good challenge.  I am stuck on the taller cards, but I adore the sketch from Retro Sketches, just made mine taller *grin*.  The butterfly stamp and the "believe" sentiment are from Teresa Collins, Tell Your Story collection.  The background paper is also from the same paper pack.  I have used washi tape, a ticket, lace, stitching, bling, and bakers twine.  I hope your evening is great... believe the best and enjoy!

Frilly & Funkie Staurday Step x Step:Snowflake Rosette Tag

Good morning F&F friends  I am sharing today's step x step.  I have made a tag, you know Linda is challenging us to the 12 Tags of Christmas, I hope you can join us here.  I was inspired by the snowflakes.  I wanted to make snowflake rosettes  very cute I think!

I have cut out the rosettes using the Tim Holtz Mini Rosettes Die.  I luv placing all of my elements on my work table; this is the designing process and most of us luv it!

I have folded all of the rosettes and glued the circle pieces to the rosettes.  I cut the snowflakes from a heavy duty watercolor paper, I luv he texture of this paper.

I am adding the Tim Holtz glitter here....did I tell ya how much I luv this glitter..... A LOT!

Here is my tag, after I have used the Tim Holtz distressed stain.

I stamped the tree image, luv these trees!  Added the piece of burlap and stitched it place.  Preparing to place the rosettes and add the ribbon and burlap bow.

A perfect Christmas tag, especially for the men in your life.  Not super fancy, but yet very homey and handmade.  I have used the Verve sentiment from the Glad Tidings set.   Be sure to stop by The Funkie Junkie Boutique and check out the new arrivals and must have tools, stamps, ink, and embellies!

Funkie Junkie 12 Tags of Christmas/Tag 1

I am soooo thrilled about this post...Linda from The Funkie Junkie Boutique challenges us to the 12 tags of Christmas.  I luv making tags and we have twelve weeks to get them completed and yes that means it is only twelve weeks before Christmas!  No panicking yet....lol..we have plenty of time to prepare!  I adore Linda's first tag and for some reason wanted to make mine with red...the heart was screaming red to me.  I used one of the fabulous tin hearts from Linda's boutique...I adore these!  Of course I had to add a sweet rhinestone to my heart.  The wings are from the Sizzix TH Heart and Wings die.  I have painted the tag with Crackled Distressed paint, stamped a few background images, added the sentiment and berries.  I am somewhat happy with how it turned out...lol.  Be sure to check back Saturday, I will be sharing my Step x Step using more awesome products from The Funkie Junkie Boutique. My sentiment is from the Verve set Glad Tidings and I loosely used the Sketchbook Saturday sketch for my tag.  Hope you have a wonderful day...enjoy!

Glitz Step x Step Christmas Tag

Welcome to the weekend friends!  I know it is only nearing the end of September, but it is not to early to think about Christmas!

I have started with a traditional shape for my tag using the French Kiss striped designer paper.  The stripes remind me of Christmas.  There is nothing like burlap at Christmas too, it reminds me of the days gone by when packages where wrapped in kraft paper and tied with burlap twine...luv!

I cut out the star base using Joyeux Noel polka dotted paper another favorite of mine all the time, not just Christmas!  I have stained the edges to make it a little more bolder.  During the sponging a small piece of my star came off, it gives it the shabby look I luv..*grin*

I sponged also around the tag shape to also give it a more bold look.  It is amazing how adding a little ink to the edges of your element makes it pop!

I like to lay my elements out on my work table and position and reposition, this is such a fun part of the creating process!

Here I have added the gorgeous Giant Rhinestones to the center of my stars; nothing like burlap and bling...totally luv!  I have placed the sentiment tag on my table looking for the perfect placement...teehehe.

Here is the finished tag, I added a tiny clip, the seam binding ribbon and burlap string.  All I need now is the perfect Christmas gift.  There you have it a step x step Christmas tag, go ahead and make one today, it's really not to early!

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper: French Kiss
Glitz Design Paper:  Joyeux Noel
Glitz Giant Rhinestone: Aqua, Clear, Red

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little glitz!

Glitz Design

Good morning friends, I am sharing a couple of cards I put together using some of my favorite Glitz products.  I adore the paper, the card stock stickers, and the giant rhinestones....I cannot get enough of them!

I put this card together fairly quickly, using the card stock sticker and popping it up on pop dots to give depth.  I added another favorite of mine vintage lace and seam binding ribbon, so sweet.  I added the tenny alpha to make the little banner spelling out the word "smile"...such cuteness.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper: Happy Trials
Glitz Card Stock Stickers: French Kiss Titles
Glitz Design Giant Rhinestones:  French Kiss
Glitz Design Tenny Alphas:  Charcoal

For my second card, it is a swet romantic cad or anniversary card.  I used the awesome Glitzers for the main panel.  I adhere them to a layered scalloped circle an then added another layer using a card stock whatnot.

I spritzed the doily with ink, added stitching, a rounded corner, and a couple of pieces of washi tape.  a lot more tiny details in this card, you know I am all about the details.  I hope you where inspired today by my creations, thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!
