2 CAS Cards

I have to quick cards for several challenges.  I will keep the posts CAS....simple stamping and stitching in both of these.  All stamps are from Verve.
The first card is for today's SC278 and for the color challenge over at Stacey's Blog, Curtain Call Act 27.
I kept the sketch very simple, just adding a bow with a tag.  I got this Martha Stewart Tag Punch at Michaels' for only $4.19.  You cannot beat that, what a deal!  I hope you have had a great day....enjoy!

Purple Flowers For You

I created this for several challenges Stacey's Jewlery challenge #34 and for the Dirty Dozen Challenges for April. The theme for the Dirty Dozen challenges is going green, there is a picture of an open field to be inspired by and I usually think flowers when I think of the great outdoors. This card is the smaller note cards that are sold on pg208 in the SU cattie. They measure 2 3/4 x 3 7/8, great size to include in a gift. I only stamped the sentiment, the flower and the leaves are SU dies ran through the CB. The flowers are layered five times to give them depth and fullness. I used the basic grey courduroy brads for the center. Very simple, but yet very cute.....I hope you enjoy your evening!

Hello everyone, can you believe how fast the weekends go by, it seems like it just started. I had some requests for me to list on my blog the challenges that I enjoying doing each week. I have updated my blog and listed the day of the week and the challenge on the left hand side a little ways down. If you would like for me to add another favorite of yours, please let me know and I will add it to the list. I created this card for the OCCC Sketch and for Stacey's Jewelry Challenge #29. I hope you have a great start to your week, don't forget tomorrow morning is mojo Monday and that means another fabulous sketch. Flower Power

I created this card for four different challenges, I think there should be a challenge to see ho many challenges you can fit into one card...lol. Combining challenges can be an art too, don't ya think? It is for todays LSC212 at SCS, to use a flower or bulb and be soft spring colors. It is also for the March Dirty Dozen Fan Club sketch challenge, this month the theme is TV and Food. The keyword is DSKETCH0309 The sketch is a reminder of the Brady Bunch, one of my favorite shows when I was young. My TV theme for the card is The 70's Show, hence the title Flower Power. I am not a TV person, hardly watch any, maybe the news. DH had to help me with the TV show, I told him I wanted to use flowers on my card and he came up with the flower power from the 70's. Although, I am not happy with my card he is always encouraging me, he truly loves my creations....I love that man...lol! The hardest part about my card was fitting it to meet the OCC challenge to only use three layers and one type of embellie, for me this was the most difficult....I luv my layers and embellies. Finally this is also for Stacey's Jewelry Challenge #28, the flower is a pin. The colors are certainly celery, old olive, so safron, lavander lace, and white. Check out all of these challenges and play along, enjoy your Saturday!

This is Stacey's jewelry challenge from last Sunday, she will have another one in the morning. This is Jewelry Challenge #25, use JCI when uploading to SCS. I am going to be busy the next two days too. This is a super simple card with very challenging colors. I used my new SU trendy trees, don't ya luv that when you are stampin things can be any color you want, hence the purple blooms on the trees. I used purple buttons, pacific point ribbon, and punched the sentiment with the circle punch. I will be stampin tomorrow with friends a much needed getaway. Enjoy your Sunday!

ATC Scripture Challenge Glad & Trust

I created these for this weeks ATC Scripture Challenge, the words are glad and trust. The ATC's are quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I enjoy very much looking up the words and study Gods the Bible, I always get goose bumps when I read His word, the scriptures just come to life for me. I do hope you will consider doing this fun, inspiring challenge. I chose 1Peter 4:13, we are to be glad and rejoice always in all things. For the word trust, I chose Jeremiah 17:7, we must trust God today and everyday, even the days when it seems everything is falling apart, rest in Him, for He is our guide! These words are so comforting. I used scraps for most of these little guys, luv that! The top ATC is also for
Stacey's Jewelry Challenge #24, to use the colors tempting turquoise, kiwi kiss, so safron, and saraha sand. If you play along and upload your creation to SCS use the keyword JCI. Also this Saturday will be the next Jazzy Challenge, Tenia has brought us some very challenging colors, I hope you can play along. Enjoy your day!

Stacey's Jewelry Color Challenge-Passion #23

I created this for Stacey's Jewelry Color Challenge...fabulous, fun colors, very summery! I used the flower from Sweet N' Sassy set called Bee Happy. Iused riding hood red, tangerine tango, and regal rose....I do not have the pixie pink...don't do the BB. I layered cherckered ribbon from Michael's onto the wide regal rose, I really like that look. Colored the flower with copics and popped it up for depth. I ued the circle and scalloped circlee nesties for the background pieces of cs. I hope you enjoy the card and find time to play along with Stacey's fabulous challenge.

Stacey's Jewelry Color Challenge-Cameo Coral Chip #22

I created this card for Stacey's Jewelry Challenge #22, I used my new SU Daisies Flower #2 to cut out the flowers and layered them, I also sponged them with chocolate chip ink. I used three different punches to layer the sentiment, it is SU. The adorable dragonfly is from
Sweet N' Sassy Stamps and it is from the set called Pond Pals, you got to check out this adorable set it has the cutest pond friends and sentiments, I luv this set! I also want to share something else I discovered, I luv the concept of the Build a Brad from SU. But, I also must say that I do not like the little clear thingy they give you to put on top of your brad to give the finished look. It will not stay on and if you try to glue or push it on it loses it shiny finish and will get your thumb print on the clear thing. I have been adding SU's crystal effects on top of the brad instead of the clear thing and I really like the shiny look it gives. You won't have to worry about it falling off. I hope you enjoy your Friday and try the SU crystal effects on the Build a Brad
