Happy Thanksgiving

Good morning, it was a cool 58 degrees when I got up at 6:00am, so I thought it is fitting to make a Fall/Thanksgiving card. Fall is my favorite time of year; I luv the mornings anytime, but I especially luv them in the fall. Today's LSC232, you have to use an image that is food and only use papers that are the names of food. My image is from Stampin Up Happy Blessings and the paper colors I chose are Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla. This was a fun one, I hope you have time to play. I colored, distressed, sponged, and done a little sewing on this one. I am very pleased with how it turned out and will send it to a very spacial friend this Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day, it is Friday, I hope that means time with family that is filled with love and laughter! For a little fun, tell me your favorite season and why, I enjoy reading your comments and thoughts!

  6. Wonderful card, Teresa. Great image and colours. I just LOVE fall colours -- they just make me feel warm all over. I'm glad to see your sewing machine is getting lots of use :D

Not sure which season is my favorite as I love them all for different reasons... Spring for the wonderful burst of new life (great reminder of my new life in Christ) and the wonderful bright colours of the flowers (love tulips and crocuses). Summer for the long lazy days (well not so lazy with kids at home all day but much less scheduled than the rest of the year plus we have our traditional day at the water slides). Autumn, LOVE the changing leaves and colours of the season. Winter, cause it's Christmas, time to reflect on the old year, learn from it, treasure memories from it and make some plans for the new year and it's ski season. Can handle our high rainfall because I know it's snowing on the mountains (bit harder to handle now as I haven't managed that since I've had kids).

How's that for a long answer!

  7. Oh man, I've been so wrapped up with worrying about my Christmas cards that I haven't given much thought to Thanksgiving! Thanks for the reminder and inspiration with such a great card!!! I too enjoy the crisp, cool fall days and the gorgeous colors of the season!! I have a hard time choosing a favorite season just because the Lord blesses us with different, fun things to enjoy! Fall: holidays, colors of leaves, the change in weather, lazy rainy days at home with the family
Winter: CHRISTMAS, traditions, the first snow, smells...
Spring: The beginning of nice weather, new flowers and babies being born, all the colors
Summer: Warmth, beach days, bbq's, fireworks, picnics, late nights

Ok, I've rambled on enough! :O)
    Again...great card!!
