Flowers & Wood Grain

ETA:  I have been asked about the distressing on my cards, I use scissors.  I keep running the scissors over the edge until I get the look I want.  Some days I go heavier than others...thank you for your comments and questions!  I so enjoy interacting with everyone and sharing thoughts and ides.
Happy day to you, I have a quick post spotlighting the famous Color Throwdown,CTD103 colors and Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC79.  I also played along with todays WT281, to use wood grain.  Only I would find a way to mix flowers and wood grain......lol.  I grunged it up a bit and used a fuzzy fiber.  The flower and stem is a set from KaiserCraft.  I really like using a little bling with grunge, it reminds me of those faded old blue jeans with a t-shirt and a sweet pearl necklace....fashion at its best!  Don't forget about the Verve Anniversary Blog Hop that will be taking place this Sunday, August 1.  You won't want to miss all the wonderful creations and you know there will be prizes.  You can get all the details here!
Enjoy.

  1. LOVE this----and how do you get your edges so distressy? Do you snip them with your scissors and then distress them? I love that effect!

  6. What a simple but pretty card. I like the soft look of the background leaves with the pop of color of the flowers.
