It's Wednesday and that means it is time for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. This week we are challenging you to a back to school theme, I know most kiddos have started back are going back soon. My area actually starts today, go get'em and grow!

The design team is using products from My Mind's Eye, they have some super fun embellies and card stock shapes...I luv My Mind's Eye!

What fun! I wanted to share how you can use all the amazing embellies on a card, I adore the freestyle collage look....so retro with all the patterns and colors! Most of what I used is from the Jubilee collection, the hello is the journaling cards...luv these! the monday tab is sticky notes, the date/location tab and the grow sentiment are card stock die cuts, the heart button(totally luv) is from the flair buttons, and I finished with jubilee enamel dots. Lot's of great stuff you can use on cards and not just scrapbooking or mini albums. I can't wait to see what you create for this weeks back to school challenge. WOW, what fun colors, I had a blast; but of course they are all in the color family I LUV...YIPPIE! I used the can you case it sketch, super duper fun, luv the simple CAS look of the sketch but it also has so many options. The butterfly and sentiment are from the simon says stamp set bitty butterflies. I added an embossed background and ink splatter. Add a little glimmer to your life...sparkle & shine!

I had such fun with this card, I wanted a fun cupcake; so I created one using two different stamp sets from Simon Says Stamp. I used the ice cream cone from the set scream for ice cream and turned it upside down to stamp only the end for a cupcake holder...cute, huh? I then took the ice cream dream set and turned the ice cream from the cone upside down and placed it on top to create a cupcake...so much fun! What a fun week to create and it is calorie FREE, stamp away! Add a little glimmer to your life...sparkle & shine!

mojo monday/mojo410-let go and let god

I am sharing my take of the mojo monday sketch and the color throwdown colors...sweet color combo. I used the Verve sets, let it be and petals and wings. The background circle was ink washed with Tim Holtz ink and a stencil, I thne added some mebossing paste with a super tiny circle stencil...I luv how it turned out and ink splatter. I used ICE stickles on the butterfly and some gems. The kraft card stock is from Ranger, I so luv the color; it is a bit thin but I added cheap white card stock to the inside for a little more weight. I hope you are inspired to create and get inky. I have used the super cute stamp set from Skipping Stones for my card today, Merry & Bright. A simple CAS card, I did heat emboss the snowflakes with white embossing powder and used embossing paste and a stencil for the falling snowflakes. I have created this fun card using the Paper Smooches set Crystal Clear, I adore the darlin mason jar...so very cute! I tied May Arts natural twine around the top of the mason jar in an adorable little knot...squuuueeeeall. I stamped hearts in the jar and then added stickles for a little glitter...I am lost without my beloved glitter, shine, or shimmer...teehehehehe. Some ink splatter, patterned paper tags, staple, and gemstones bring it all together. Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine!

I adore this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, ok....do I say that every week?...lol. I used Verve stamp set, Inspire Hope.  This is a fun one, I sponged my cute doily with Tim Holtz inks, added a glittery tag, and a gorgeous inked up Prima flower. My second card is using my ALL time favorite cake...really and truly...I adore this flirty polka dotted cake....it is the cuuuutest! It is from an original set called you know you're gettin old.....darlin sentiments and cute flip flops aaaaand polka dotted pillow! I colored the cake with my Zig clean color markers and then went back with a white sharpie and added a few white polka dots to the polka dots...fun!

simon says stamp summer vacation kid's challenge

 Hi all and welcome to another of our annual Simon Says Stamp Summer Vacation Kid's Challenge where we host a special challenge dedicated to our young designers.

ANYTHING GOES 

It is time for all you crafters to let your children loose in your crafty corners for a few hours. Just close your eyes and set them free to explore their creativity :-) You are allowed to hide your Copic Markers and extra special papers and you are allowed to help just a little bit if necessary, but we really want the children to 'DO IT' themselves as much as possible :-)

This challenge is open to all children aged between 2 and 16 inclusive.

We have not 1, not 2 but  3 surprise parcels of crafty goodies, hand picked by Simon!

For this challenge we have a very special Junior Design Team who I am sure you will agree have done an excellent job.

Please give them a warm welcome and leave comments for them on their blog posts. Thank You xx
