Happy Father's Day

Good morning, it is time for another mojo sketch; Mojo139.  I really like today's sketch, I hope you will play along with us!  I wanted to use the colors from the Embellish Challenge and thought they looked manly so I made my Dad a Father's Day card.  I layered the stars to give depth.  I used the Brook Collection Designer paper from Crate Paper.  I added a little distressing and stitching.  Have a wonderful week, we are going to my step daughters this weekend to our granddaughter's dance recital.  We look forward to this every year, but even more so this year.  The last two months have been trying with my dh's heart and it's not over yet.  Keep us in your prayers.  It will be so nice to get away for a bit.  Enjoy!

Wish

Good morning, it is mojo time, Sarah designed today's sketch and I luv it......you can chose a circle or square card. I luv them both, but find myself liking the circle cards a little more......they are soooo cute. I also used the fun colors from the Embellish Color Challenge, the theme is birthdays. I used the cupcake stamp from Verve called Cupcake Affair, I adore this set but do not use it enough. I stamped, colored, and cut out the cupcake and lifted it on glue dots. I added the sentiment "wish" down the side. The single flower adorns the cupcake, along with tiny dots of stickles. I hope you will play along with the mojo makers this week, to see all of there creations head over to the Mojo Monday Blog.

You can find instructions on how to make the circle cards in this post.

Hope

I created this for several challenges, the CCEE Stampers, CCEE1002 sketch. It is also for the Embellish Challenge to use purple, kraft, and chocolate and to use stripes. I added stripes with a marker to the right side of the sentiment. I am not sure if I like that or not, but I trying to make it work...lol. I also added stripes to the kraft piece of card stock with my scor pal. Finally, it is for the Scripture Challenge over at Patter Cross Blog, SCRC210. the first word is Hope. The scripture is a Verve stamp Psalm 31:24. I used the crystal flourish to accent the scripture panel, it came from Hope Stamps Eternal. I hope that you have a wonderful evening, enjoy!

Let It Snow.......More!

All I can say is......Woowee....we have gotten so much snow. The pictures in the post under this one, does not tell the story tonight, it snowed for over 26 hours here. I will have more pictures tomorrow after it is daylight. We do not have church tomorrow; dh and I, along with our dog Jessie will be digging us out......that will be fun! This is one of the biggest snows I have ever seen....I do luv it though. Everything is cancelled and shut down.

For my card I used the Clean & Simple Sketch #72 and the Embellish Color Challenge. I used the embossing folder I got from HSN on the top portion of my card, the chocolate dp is older SU. The snowflakes are a background stamp from Verve called Snow Wonderful as well as the sentiment. I added a few pearls, some SU dazzling diamonds and finished it off with button and twine. This is also fits Our Creative Corner Challenge, OCC to use snow or a snowflake theme. I hope you like my creation and are inspired...enjoy!

The Joy Of The Lord

I created this card for Taylor's Sketch TESC92 and for the Embellish Color Challenge, the colors are red, yellow, blue, green, and to use brads. I used these wonderful chipboard flowers from Hope Stamps Eternal, they are EK Success Art Blanche. They have a white base which makes it so easy to cover and use....I luv these, I will be picking up some more. I lightly sanded the sides and added silver beads, I didn't use brads on the chipboard. I used the SU Embosslit sweetest stem die for the leaves. I stamped the sentiment unto the petals of one of the flowers. I embossed the two side panels using the Victoria embossing folder. I hope my creation inspires you and that you enjoy your evening!
I was thinking how great it would be to start a family tradition this Thanksgiving, especially if you don't have one. My thoughts where to have everyone in your family make a list of five things they are thankful for and share them together this Thanksgiving meal. It's is important to keep heritage in our families and this is a simple way to hear each others heart.

I created today's card for Taylor's sketch TESC90 and for the color/owl challenge over at Embellish Magazine, to use chocolate, green, and coral. I made mine a CAS card keeping it simple. The sentiment is from the Verve set Fluttering By. The owl is one that they are giving away over at Embellish. I added silver beads for eyes and smooch to the front of his chest. I used designer paper from Nook and Pantry and the embossing folder is Morrocan Screen both of these items are from Hope Stamps Eternal.
I hope that you have a wonderful evening, just wanted to letyou know I am off next week and looking forward to spending lots of time creating...hehehe! Snowflakes

I created this cute circle card for the Embellish Challenge, to use white, green, blue, and chocolate. The challenge also is to make it a circle card. I used my favorite Verve stamps for this one, the set is called Snowflake Splendor. I stamped the snowflake border in SU Baja Breeze and added silver pearls to the center of the snowflakes. I used a chipboard snowflake from SU and cover and sanded it. I then covered it with a glitter pen to make it shimmer, I added chocolate ribbon with a tiny button and of course my favorite silver beads to the center. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out with SU tags dies. I hope you like my little circle card, enjoy your Friday evening!
