Friends & Coffee

Good mojo Monday morning, I am luvin life again this week, I am off from work again....that's two weeks in a row in the Fall.....I am a happy girl! And today starts all the fun for the Verve release party that is this Friday night, October 23 at 9:00PM Eastern time, you can learn more about that here. Also, Julee is giving away FREE an adorable mitten digi set, you can get yours here, be sure to snag it. You gals know I luv me some Verve and the release is no exception. Be sure to check back for all the latest fun and all the new peaks.

For today's card I used the Verve sets Delightful & Delicious and Express Yourself. I used this fun older SU dp, I just adore those polka dots. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Timber Brown and added the fancy flourish from the Express Yourself set, then I cut it out with the Label 5 nesties. I added some sponging with Momento Timber Brown and Tim Holtz Frayed Burlap. I stamped the coffee mug and paper pieced it. I added the yummy ribbon from Papertrey Ink, let me tell you, if you have not used this ribbon....DO...it is fabulous, really! I am wanting every color. I added an adorable pink button and twine. I set my circle panel off to the side, I tend to like things asymmetrical(a little off balance), sometimes...hehehe. I will be sending this to a friend of mine who is very successful and luves her coffee. Be sure to head over to the Mojo Monday Blog and show the other mojo makers some luv!

Groovy Tree

I created this card for the totally fun Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, CIC28 and for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, WSC102. I used this groovy tree from Verve Stamps, it is called Whimsy Tree, the colors I used are Prism Bianco, Burned, SU Melon Mambo and SU Razzleberry Lemonade dp. I did a little stitching and distressing on the back panel. The main panel I cut out with circle nesties and sponged with Momento Rich Cocoa ink. I added Papertrey Ink Razzberry Fizz ribbon, wow is this stuff ever fabulous. It makes the best bows, yes I tie my bows by hand. I get the sweetest comments about my bows, I will let you in on a secret, it is all about the quality of the ribbon. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I added a button and twine to finish my adored cupcake challenge. If you haven't played along, check it out here and give it a try...you will think the cupcakes are yummy, I know! Harvest Blessings

Good morning, I am usually at work, but I am home this week on vacation. Dh and I went away for a couple of days to VA Beach. Friends of ours have just purchased a condo at the beach for get aways and they have given us the option of going and staying when we like. What a blessing that is, we luv the place and it is only about 30 yards from the beach, this is a picture I took the morning we left, isn't it gorgeous....it was very cool.
Well, for today's' card I used Sweet 'N Sassy Happy Harvest stamp set, aren't the images adorable? I so luv the pumpkin and scarecrow, I really like paper piecing so I used my Recollection Autumn paper pack for this one. I did some distressing, sanding, and a little stitching. This is for today's SC250....I hope you have a enjoyable day and be sure to check out the SNSS stamps, lots of them are on sale now.

Autumn Wishes

Good Monday morning, I hope your mojo is flowing! This is for Mojo108, today's sketch is another winner, I really like the square lines. I used an older SU dp for my back panel. I used Verve Bountiful Backgrounds set for the more mustard shade, this is one of my favorite sets from Verve. It is a fabulous background set. I stamped the sentiment Autumn Wishes in SU really rust, this is from the Verve set Harvest Blessings as if the leaf. I stamped the leaf in chocolate chip and cut it out. I wanted to add a little pizazz to the main panel so I cut the end part of the QuicKuts nesting labels and made a little shelf of sorts for my sentiment and leaf. I then added some of my favorite embellies, you guess it.....pearls. Doesn't it look like a shelf in your home with some deco on it? I added SU alpine ribbon from last year and a couple of buttons, I hope you have a great day, dh and I are headed to VA. Beach for a little fun and a whole lot of shopping....hehehehe. Be sure to head over to the Mojo Monday Blog and check out the other Mojo Makers creations, you don't want to miss them. Enjoy!

Be The Star

Hello! This card is for Amber's Viva la Verve Sketch, VLVOCT02; with a twist, the twist was to use no chocolate or orange. No chocolate, now that is a challenge. To make it easy I used Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, ssnotime108 to use black and kraft, now that is easy. Those two colors are fabulous together, I added SU rose red and bermuda bay to add to the the delight. I used my Janome to add a little sewing, a cuttlebug embossing folder, some paper piercing, and silver beads. Both of these are great challenges, I hope you can play along. Enjoy your weekend, oh be sure to check back often in the coming weeks, I am off for a little while so I hope to have lots of creations to come!
