Hope You Day Is Fabulous!

I am thrilled to tell you it is snowing again in Virginia, we have only gotten about 10 inches this time. It is so very beautiful. My card is the only thing that looks like spring around here, I adore this flower from PTI. I used the colors from Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge, #14. I do not use much purple so I used what colors I had that best match. I also used the Crazy 4 Challenges sketch from a couple of weeks ago and the challenge this week is to use lollipops, C4C22. Well, I do not have any lollipops either so I used this big circle flower that reminds me of a lollipop. I hope you are inspired to play along with these fun challenges. Have a wonderful day! Enjoy!

I also wanted to share that my card shown here was chosen over at OCC and I was named featured designer. Fabulous

Good morning, it is mojo time. Today's mojo sketch is giving you a choice, circle or square card. I personally luv both the circle and square cards. The circle cards are a little more sweet in my opinion. If you have not tried a circle card, today is a great day to do just that. Of course I used a new Verve set Loves' Flower. This set is one of those must have sets, the sweet little flowers seems so happy....hehehe. I adore the little vine of hearts, I ran my glitter pen over them. I used SEI Madeline designer paper. I added white trim down the side. I do hope you can play along with the Mojo Makers, to see all the creation head over to the Mojo Monday Blog.

Don't forget the Verve Project Parade started today, to see all the creations and play along head over to the Verve Blog.

I have been asked how I make my circle cards, so I am going to list quick instructions. I am listing two different options
OPTION 1
-cut cardstock using the largest circle or scalloped circle nesting label
-score one of the circles on Scor Pal on the first mark(1/2 inch mark) this will be the back part of the card
-decorate the top circle
-put glue on the part above the scored part of the bottom circle and adhere the decorated circle to the bottom
-be sure to line up as much as possible so that your card when free standing is straight

OPTION2
-run two pieces of cardstock through the cuttlebug with a small part exposed above the nesting label
-this option makes it so you do not have to glue, it is held together by the piece that is not cut

I hope this helps, if you need anything else please let me know.

I am reaching for the stamp set Love's Flower from Verve every time I go to stamp, it is so sweet. These little flowers make my heart pitter patter...lol. I colored, cut them out, added pearls, and SU dazzling diamonds. They are so cute, I also used the new SU Sending Love designer paper. This is also for the Crazy 4 Challenge, C4C21; to use pink. Tin Full Of Love

Good morning, today's project proves that you can get inspiration from anywhere....lol. The little robot on top of the cupcake reminded me of my husband(insert smile)so I wanted to make something for him. We both have a thing for boxes, tins, and containers, he also luvs green. That's when the idea of this little tin came to mind. This is for today's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, CIC43. I used one of the fabulous Hinged Top Nugget Tins from Hope Stamps Eternal, if you have not seen all the great alterables she has you need to check it out! She even has letters, they would be perfect for your stamping room. I used the new Basicgrey Orgins Designer Paper, I really like this dp. I used a Martha Stewart Punch for the border and some silver beads to accent. The stamp is Basicgrey also, I sponged it with Tim Holtz Ranger Old Paper Ink. I adhered with Tombow Mono Adhesive. I kept the inside very simple since it is for my dh. I hope my he likes this little tin and I hope that you are inspired. Our projects do not have to look exactly like the inspiration piece, it is to get your creative juices flowing. I hope you will play along with us this week, don't let the little robot scare ya...lol. Enjoy this beautiful day!

Spring Note Card Set

I was determined to get all of these challenges in...lol....I settled on a Note Card Set. I wanted to use the colors from The Color Throwdown #76, melon, so safron, and old olive. I adore these fun spring colors together. I was also so inspired by Kristin's note card set shown here. I used several sketches Taylor's Sketch Challenge, TESC98 from last Friday. Card Patterns Sketch #47, Stamps and Smiles Sketch, SASSC49, and Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL75. I also used today's IC216 to help me complete my note card set. I chose the pillow shown here, that's when I reached for the round puffy flowers from the Verve set Budding Blossoms. I used several punches, buttons, silver beads, stitching and a glitter pen to accent each note card. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, all of this cold weather has given me cabin fever. I am ready for the sunshine....enjoy!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy

I created this for today's LSC256, to make our creation a palindrome. The sentiment is suppose to be able to be read forward or backward, the dp had to be the same if a line is drawn down the center, and any panels or nesties had to be the same on both sides. Here is the pronunciation and definition of palindrome.
palindrome
noun
/ˈpæl.ɪn.drəʊm/
US pronunciation symbol/-droÊŠm/
n [C]
a word or group of words that is the same whether you read it forwards from the beginning or backwards from the end

I also made this for The Pink Elephant Challenge #50, it is a sketch this week. These are the colors for The Play Date Cafe Challenge, PDCC13. I used the Papertrey Ink Blooming Button Bits stamp set, I added fibers and a little stitching. The polka dots are a stamp from the Verve set Bountiful Backgrounds, I luv this set! I added a SU tag, I wanted to use some of the things I have but do not use much, who else can relate to that? Let me know something that you have that you don't use but
are inspired to get it out and create something with it. I can't wait to hear from you! Enjoy.

I want to thank Cbetnk, she is from Russia. She gave me an award. I am so amazed that I cannot speak or write any of her language, but she was able to get someone to help her write a post on my blog. She is thanking me for visiting and gave me an award. She told me that in Russia it is a blogger tradition to give an award, I am so pleased and honored to post this. It really does make a persons day when you leave kind words.....show some luv to others and leave a comment!

Black & White Sympathy

This is for the wonderful challenge Amber has going on this year for Viva la Verve at Home, VLVJAN2010. I adore this room, I was so inspired by the black & white and the floor. I used my cuttlebug folder that matches the floor for my background panel. I really got excited when I thought of using the piece of polka dotted vellum for the bottom panel. I am so vellum challenged. I avoid that stuff.....lol. I think it is working quite nicely for me today, mark this down because you may never see it again...lol. I sometimes get on a sympathy card kick, it helps to have one when you need it and not have to worry about making it in a pinch, KWIM? I used pink gemstones for color. Amber has done an awesome job with bringing some great inspiration pieces. I hope you have time to play with us, you still have time to get all four sketches into the "January 2010 Sketch Champion Thread'.
You have until Jan. 29 at midnight, you could win the entire Verve release. Have fun and enjoy!
