SCS Hope Challenge- Brave Heart Card #2

I have created this for the SCS Hope Challenges, to help the MD Cancer Center in TX.  Today is my challenge, it is called "Brave Heart", my challenge to use is to use at least one heart on your creation. The patients and families who fight cancer have to be so brave, lets honor them by using a heart on your card. Thank you so much for supporting MD Anderson Cancer Center!  There is also an added challenge that is NOT eligible for prizes, be sure to go here to find out the details.  I have created a card for the second part of my challenge, to see it go here.  I have used the Sizzix primitive hearts die for this card, I just luv the shape of these hearts.  I have added a flower mixture; I made a rolled fabric flower, added a Prima, pearls and bling to the tiny bouquet.  I used greens, my favorite color and a pop of black....you can never go wrong with a pop of black, wouldn't you agree?  I hope you will join us over at SCS for the HOPE Challenges, there are prizes to be won too!  I want to leave you with this quote on hope...enjoy!
Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

Waltzingmouse Sketch-Thinking Of You

Good morning, I have created this for today's Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, I altered the placement of the circle....luv this great sketch!  I have used the WM set called Blessed By You.  My card is rather CAS styled for me, but I adore this tree so I did not want to have a lot of extras.  I added a little cardboard crimped border to the bottom of the tree and a butterfly to the button.  Head over to the Waltzingmouse Sketch Blog and check out the rest of the DT creations, these gals are amazing!

Viva la Verve- Embrace Life

I am sharing this weeks Viva la Verve, I have chosen a circle inside of a square styled sketch..I am very happy with the outcome.  I have used black and cream...a gorgeous color combo!  I make my square cards 4 1/4 x 4 1/4, I do this so that I can still cut a sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 down the middle, less waste.  I like this size much better than the bigger size too.  I am also very excited to share that Julee has upped the prize if you win the VLV for the month, you now get $100 worth of FREE Verve, that is definitely worth playing for, don't ya think?  To load your card and get all the details head over to the Verve forum on SCS.  Be sure to check back from time to time this weekend I have several other posts to share.  I hope you are planning a fun fall weekend....enjoy!

Mojo Monday Sketch-Blessings

Good morning, we are back into the swing of things with mojo Monday's, I am thrilled...I hope you are too!  This week it is circle or sqaure, I went with the fun circle card.....I do luv them both, but the circle cards are sooooo adorable when finished.  I use the largest Spellbinders scalloped circle for the base, they fit perfectly into a 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square envelope.  Here are my instructions for making a circle card, I have given the instructions for a full circle using adhesive and for the circle card not using adhesive....I prefer the full circle with adhesive.  I have went with a fall theme, it has been warmer this week not as much like fall as several days ago....I am waiting for the gorgeous changes fall brings!  I have used the colors from CR84FN challenge.  The sentiment is from the Verve set Hello Pumpkin and the tiny leaves are from the Lil' Inker Acorn Die.  All of the Autumn Verve Stamps are on sale, check it out!  Also, be sure to check out the NEW Lil' Inker Store front and a sale that Laura is offering!  I hope your week is starting out great...here is a little something to ponder today..... enjoy!

Waltzingmouse Sketch/WMSC66-Hugs

It is the weekend girls, I hope yours is filled with great plans.......I am super busy.  I am sharing today's Waltzingmouse sketch, I made mine an A2 card and added the circle sketch to the center.  I used the scroll from the set Very Vintage Labels No.18  I adore the look of it just on one side, I added designer paper and stitching to the other part.  I used a doily behind the circle and distressing....I also added sponging.  The sentiment tag is a sentiment from the Say It Loud set, the tag was stamped, sponged and then curled to give more depth.  I finished my card with a crinkled ribbon bow and the Melissa Frances glittered flower.  I added the pink button for a little contrast.  Be sure to head over to the Waltzingmouse blog and check out the mischief makers designs, these girls are amazing....enjoy!
