PEACE

I made this for the OCCC, to make something homemade. I knew I wanted to use these dusty chipboard coasters, I have add these for about three years. I wanted to use the word P E A C E and thought about putting each letter on each coaster. I have lots of stamps with the word peace on them, so I decided to use the entire word on each coaster. I used numerous embellies, I used chocolate chip, riding hood red, vanilla, and SU dp. I used my favorite SU ribbon, the striped ribbon in the winter mini catalog. This will be displayed on our downstairs mantle this Christmas. I love having peace in my heart from knowing Jesus and I pray we have world peace. Peace to you and your family. Thanks for visiting and come back often. Enjoy!

FS90 Congratulations Kay

I made this for todays FS90, check out her gallery and play along. I chose this card of hers Winter Sky Snowfall I wanted to use my new SU dp called ski slope and my new wide chocolate ribbon so her card was perfect to case. The snowflake stamps are Verve, I heat embossed them with very white embossing powder, added bling to the center and cut out with my new circle nesties. I added the peace on earth sentiment from Verve , the base of the card is SU baja breeze. I hope you enjoy your visit and come back often. Let me know what you think.

Love Flowers

I made this for todays IC151, the bedding is so adorable. I chose groovy guava, so safron, and regal rose as my colors. I used SU rub-ons for the center white flower, I added chunky glitter to the center of the flower. I used my circle/scalloped nesties to make the circles. I just got mine in the mail..... fun. I really did not have any good layering circles until now. I stamped love at the bottom in regal rose, added SU regal rose ribbon and some dew drops and there you have it. This card will also go in the Christmas boxes for the soldiers. Enjoy!

Lollipop Flowers

This is the SU large chocolate lollipop flower wall decor. It measures 44 2/5" x 11 1/2" and it cost $30.95. We just painted our bedroom and got new furmiture, I think these flowers look perfect next to the window. If you are considering SU wall art, it is really nice....go for it! Enjoy!

Three Times The Love

I made this for three challenges.....three times the love! It is for WT189, SC199, and for Lori's inspiration challenge DSIC37. Check them all out and play along. I luv the small green leaf in the pillow, it is the only green in the room. I think it just pops because it is solo. I used SU close to cocoa, night quite navy, and kiwi kiss. I used SU not quite navy dp and matted the back layer on white, the second layer is matted and cb'd. I stamped the love sentiment in kiwi kiss, for the pop of green, matted it twice and then I added kiwi kiss ribbon. The dew drops are on 1/4" punched not quite navy circles. This card will go in the stack of cards for the soldiers that our church is sending for Christmas. Thanks for visiting and come back often. Enjoy the rest of your week, it is almost the weekend....yeah!

Chocolate Centered Pink Flowers

I made this for todays CC189, to use chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, and pink pirouette. I used this older set from SU called friends and flowers.....I just luv it. I am a huge fan of flowers, so most flower stamps are hard for me to resist and hard for me to give up. I used a sheet of dp from the Hawaii Papaya pack and matted it on a piece of kiwi kiss cs. I stamped the flower pot on white twice, I cut one of them out and layered. I used stems for the flowers from papertrey ink set. I stamped the flower petals on white with the pink pirouette and cut them out and layered them. I added a chestnut brad from American Crafts to the center of each petal. I added checkered ribbon and styled silver hph with the sentiment "many blessings". Let me know what you think, come back and visit often. Most of all enjoy!

Pink Glittery Flowers

I made this for todays TLC191, you where suppose to use twinkling H2O's...I don't even know what this is, but we could still play. We where also suppose to use pink for Breast Cancer Awareness (October is BCA Month). Well, I colored my flowers with H2O color crayons and then went back and put a thin layer of stickles on top. They are real pretty IRL. I added the leaves, ribbon, and sentiment. I have to get the pink SU in color ribbon. This is Martha Stewart's and it works nicely, but I think SU has some great ribbon, awesome quality and super easy to conform. Thansk for stopping by and come back often and visit. Enjoy!

Divine Design 2008-Bible Verse Challenge

I am trying to get caught up on the Bible verse challenge BVC08, check it out and play along. I am going to give these to my niece one day, maybe when she graduates...she is only twelve. You can see the others I have made here Bible Verse Keepsake. I luv making these, they are 4 x 6 in size, I add the tabs to each one using the SU round tab punch. I like to add ribbons, bling, dew drops, and the SU clips........it so fun making these cards! I hope you join me in learning more of Gods word with a creative touch. Enjoy your visit and come back often.

Comfort and Joy

I made this for Beates WSC62 and for Lori's DSIC36, check both of these challenges out and play along. I am not sure how I arrived at the inspiration....lol, but I am pleased with the finished card. I wanted to keep the silhouttes that are in the coasters, so I stamped the snowflakes and started adding dazzling diamonds and went from there. I used my snow penquin dp, added the SU ribbon for a little tag, and then used the corner rounder to make the scallops.

I stamped the inside with SU riding hood red on vanilla, let me tell you....it is gorgeous. I have never been a fan of red, when you grow up listing to red head jokes, it is not one of your favorite colors. I have grown over the years to really appreciate red and the riding hood red as got to be one of my favorite shades. I have showed an additional photo, I hope you can see how yummy it is.....try it for yourself! Enjoy your Saturday.

Forever Friends CB Folder

As soon as I seen the IC150, I knew I wanted to use my forever friends cb folder. I wanted to go with the whole bird thing on my card, but it ain't workin at midnight so I went back to the basics....I went with the colors and of course the awesome cb folder. I luv this folder because when you emboss it, it comes out with a raised edge framing it on the outside.....so very cool!

I used American Crafts ribbon, dew drops and my favorite punch, SU curly punch. I used the cute & curly set, this stamp actually has "thank you" in the bottom right hand corner, but I wanted to add a different sentiment so I didn't ink that part. I luv that about this stamp, it can be used with lots of different sentiments to suit any occasion. I will be putting this in the Christmas box for the soldiers. Thanks for the visit and I hope you visit often, sign up to follow me for great fun and lots of ideas! Stay as long as you like and enjoy!

No Images

I made these two cards for Sharon's challenge ssnotime57 from Heather Telford to use no images except for the sentiment. I luvd this challenge because I was able to use my jumbo basicgrey cardstock stickers. I added basicgrey dp, dew drops, bling, ribbon, and pop dots. I heat embossed both of the sentiments. The cs stickers really make a big statement on the

5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card size. This challenge is a great way to use these jumbo stickers or chip board.....try it for yourself.....and most of all enjoy!

Peace

I made this for todays LSC190 to only use one piece of dp, eyelets as the embellies, and only one piece of ribbon. I need to make more Christmas cards so I made a very simple one today. I used riding hood red cs, bashful blue, and white. The dp is an older SU paper, the stamp is also an older stamp set called nature inspired. I used a single eyelet in the center of the snowflake. Thanks for the visit and I hope you visit often, you can become a follower by signing up below. I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy!

Vicky Gould, My Prayers Are With You

I made this for todays WT188, to use plaid. I also made this for a fellow SCS, Vicky Gould. I wanted the card to be perfect for her. I did not realize how limited I am on plaid dp and it seemed even more so since I wanted it to be a perfect piece to go with my perfect card. I used basicgrey plaid dp with mellow moss and vanilla cs. I used SU hearfelt sympathy and heat embossed the flowers so they are extra shiny. I distressed the edges of the sentiment, added twill ribbon, and SU filagree brad centered with a S.E.I. colored brad. I placed it in the corner of the sentiment and partly offset on the ribbon. I hope she feels the hands of love. Thanks for stopping by and come back often. Mostly, I hope you enjoy your visit.

Verve Project Parade-Embossing

I made this for the Verve Project Parade to use embossing. I wanted to use my new riding hood red ribbon. This ribbon is awesome, you have got to try it. You really get alot on the spool, it would be perfect for wrapping Christmas packages. I also used the Holly EB folder and the HPH photo clip to give the card a vintage look. I used riding hood red, vanilla, and kraft cs. Very simple, but Christmasy. I hope you like and give it a try. Enjoy

Congratulations Sweet Anne Ryan

I made this card for FS88, Anne Ryan, check out her gallery here: Anne Ryan. She has amazing talent and she is such a sweetie. She does alot of sewing on her cards and it is fantastic. She also uses primas and makes them look fabulous. I wanted to use primas on my card, so this card has primas on it that where sent to me by another SCS sweetie Dawn aka flowergal36 . I needed a sympathy card so this went out to a coworker her lost her husband. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy! I am busy with school but, I will try to post at least three times a week.

Cards For The Soldiers

I made this for todays IC149, check it out and play along there is some very interesting art work by an artist named Mizue Hirano. I had everything out trying to recreate her work....note to self, you are not a watercolor artist..lol. I had to come back to the reality of my stamping area and create a card. Our church is sending Christmas boxes to the soldiers (we had 20 last year). I want to make at least two cards to go in each box. I thought the soldiers would appreciate them to send back home to loved ones. This card will go into my growing pile for the soldiers. I used SU Mercie and Friend to Friend. I stamped in riding hood red and colored with a blender pen and ink pad, I did keep the lines strong in the heart to stay true to Mizue's work. I filled in the heart with SU chunky glitter. I hope you enjoy your visit to my blog and come back often. Enjoy your Saturday!

Best Wishes Amy

I made this card for the VERVEAMYW08. challenge. Amy Westerman is stepping down from Verve, she is an original diva. Play along and show her some love. She can make dp's work when no one else can.......amazing! The challenge is to use cheerful and bright dp's. I used ballet blue for the card base. I layered with a piece of white, then Kaiser dp called Garden Party. I added the white ribbon and one stand alone brad. I stamped the sentiment with stamps I bought at Michael's. I layered it with different size punches. I just luv the Martha Stewart small scalloped circle punch, I bought it at Michael's on clearence for $5.00. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Missing You

I made this for todays LSC189. I also used KWerners color challenge to use ballet blue, so safron, certainly celery, and ruby red. I goofed on the LSC, you are not suppose to use punches, I was in a hurry this morning and missed that part. Sorry. I used the Stampendous Spring Sprigs, this is the cutest stamp and it is now available at your local Michael's. I paper pierced the outside main panel, added the certainly celery ribbon, and the pearls...very sweet. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

Lori's Blog Candy Give Away

This is for Lori's DSIC35, check it out and play along. I was inspired by the colors, I used more mustard, old olive, tangerine tango, and SU haiku dp. I two stepped the pocket silhouette stamp with tango first and then white on top. I did this free hand, I am having the worst time with the new stampa-ma-jig. I had never had one until now and I am unable to use it. I paper pierced, added ribbon, and brads. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy.

Oh, the blog candy give away, here is the link to Lori's blog. Enter for a chance to win....yeah! Lori's give-away is very generous!

Just K

This was made for todays WT187 challenge to use monograms. I do not have the large letters, so I used my just "k" set from SU. I had bought it to use for scrapbooking because of the "k" for Kline. I kept it simple, but rich looking. Monograms remind me of the rich and famous. I used pacific point, black, and white, cs. The shimmeery silver is by American Crafts. I used the curly punch to make the bottom a little fancy, I then added the black ribbon. Very simple, but it has many options....try it for yourself and see. Most of all enjoy!

Penquin Games

I made this for todays sketch, also. I used the piece of pink pirouette in the first card and thought about my little penquins....how cute would they be in their little tuxedos with pink.....way to cute! I added SU white chunky glitter to their little bodies and the chunky pink glitter to the little balls on their snow caps. I cb the middle panel snowflake embossing folder, the back panel is layered with a piece of SU sweet always dp. The sentiment was satmped and layered on three circle punches....the top panel is punched with the Martha Stewart scalloped punch. I added ribbon and my little penquins are ready to play.......thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

The sketch challenge at SCS is awesome today, it can be used for many different images, check it out SC197. I wanted to make a Christmas card with this awesome stamp by inkindinkado, it is really much larger than how I sized it for the card. It has many possibilities. I layered it with the holiday treasures dp, I could not help myself but to layer the back piece of dp with pink pirouette. I know, it is not your traditional Christmas color. Thats what I love about color, everybodys eye for it is different and there are endless options. I finised the card off with Michael's ribbon and my trusty dew drops.....luv them! Thanks for spending a little time with me today and as always enjoy!

I luv the look of new with old or brown tones; the wooden panels behind the sofa really catch my eye........just like a great pair of worn jeans with pearls....very cool! I used SU pacific point with riding hood red. The kraft top die is NOT SU, I will order mine this week. This is by K & Company, they come 6 ( I think) in a pack and they are kraft in color. I luv this shape, same as the SU curly punch. I used Verve stamps, the link to them is on the right at the bottom of my blog. I added pearls and the black ribbon for added pop. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

Happy Fall

I made this for Lori's IC, you can learn more on her blog The Diva Stamper. I just luv the fall colors, so I had to make another all card. I use SU really rust, river rock, and apple cider dp from last year. I used my distressing tool on the edges, copper hph, and a striped ribbon. The stamp is an unknown wheat stamp, I stamped it in close to cocoa and the colored it with SU markers. I also used the pumpkin harvest cb folder on the really rust piece of cs. Get out and enjoy the great fall days.....I have this week off, so I plan on having some fall fun! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy!

Counting Blessings

I made this for todays TLC189. I am not much of a technique girl, I either don't have the stuff or like today spend waaaay to much time. I pay attention to details, so when I do techniques I seem to get to involved and have to be rescued by my dh or my boxer Jesse.

This cute "mini pizza box" can be used for gift cards, cash, or candies. Soooo adorable, you can decorate to suit the occasion. Here are the instructions for the "mini pizza box"

1. begin with a piece of cardstock 6" x 11"

2. with 6" side along the top and left side fence, score 1" in from each side

3. with 11" along the top and left side fence, score at 1", 5", 6", and 10". cut along the score on the 11" sides

4. fold into box, adhering the side flaps as you go

5. decorate and fill as you like and most of all enjoy!

I used SU thourghly thankful and colored it with SU markers, blender pen, and watercolor brush. I covered part of the image with a sentiment, I colored the counting blessings with my chocolate chip marker and stamped it and then punched it out with the long oval punch. I attached it with the copper hph. I also punched holes in the far end and ran the gingham ribbon thru and tied it. I layered it with chocolate chip and kiwi kiss. I also ran the ibbon around the top part of the lid. Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy!

Bling on Blue

The ladies over at OCCC challenged us to use bling, luv this challenge. What lady doesn't luv bling, I know I do. I have been avoiding SU pacific point, it was one of my least favorite new colors. I paired it with chocolate chip and wow it really looks great. You can put anything with chocolate chip and it looks good and tastes good. lol I had fun using the pacific point for this card. I added bling at the top, stickles on the flowers, and a tiny bling drop in the place of the "o" on the sentiment. (friend t* friend) I colored the flowers with my copics, B06 matches the pacific point. I will be sending this to a life long friend who is going through some tuff times. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!
