Unscripted Sketch Card

I wanted to share a card I made for the Unscripted sketch challenge, I used black, marina mist, and river rock; this combo is lovely together!  The black really makes the blue pop.  I used the Verve set Psalm 46:1 and the SU embossing folder for the top embossed part.  The river rock designer paper is from the new SU neutrals designer paper pack.  Sorry for the super short post, I am creating and getting ready for the big sale I am having tomorrow with friends.  Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to check back I will have plenty of more posts this weekend....enjoy!

Girly Friends

Happy Friday gals, I received a nice surprise from my boss yesterday after getting home...he wanted to know if I wanted today off...aahhh that would be "YES".  I am home today preparing for a craft sale that a few of my friends and I are having.  We are making room for new stuff and decided to have a sale.  I wish you lived close by..*grin*.  For today's card I used Mercy's sketch from last week, MTSC91, 411 Color Challenge, to use black and pink, and today's F4A31, to use scallops.  I ran the circle through the polka dotted embossing folder and then added stickles to the polka dots to give some glitter.  I added pom pom ribbon down the side, some sponging, and framed it all with scalloped rectangles.  I hope your day is great and your weekend is even better, thanks for stpping by and leaving such sweet comments!  Enjoy.

Great Friend

Good morning, it is time for another mojo sketch, you can see the other mojo makers creation over at the Mojo Monday Blog. I have been wanting to use these jumbo flowers bling that I found at Micheal's dollar bin, so cute.  I cannot help myself, I adore the jumbo embellies....really makes a statement!  I thought it was perfect for this sketch, this is a fabulous sketch Julee has designed...lots of possibilities!  This is also my submission to Kim's Off The Wall Craftiness challenge, OTWC25; I used gray, white, pinks, and polka dots.  The sentiment is the Verve set Great Friend, the scallop edge is a Tim Holtz die, not real sure if I like it or not, but I am giving it a try.  I really like the shape but not sure about hw it works when cutting it.  I would like to know your thoughts if you have some of those TH dies....leave me a comment and tell me your opinion.  I hope you have a wonderful Monday and will have the opportunity to reach out to someone today and share a kind word or smile.....enjoy!

I am sharing two cards today, they are both scripture cards using Verve stamps.  I am believing these scriptures today as my dh and I head back to the hospital.  Most of you know my dh had open heart surgery back in March and we have been battling a few minor things since the operation.  It has left him with no energy and feeling a little hopeless.  Well, today we go and that are going to get his heart back in rhythm, we are praying for the correct beat and for it to stay in beat....please pray that with me.  Thank you so much!
The top card is using Jen's SFYTT from a week ago and the dirty dozen challenge of trendy.  The bottom card is using the Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.  Check these challenges out and play along!  Have a super day and thank you again for your prayers!  Enjoy.

3. You can help by Telling Your Friends~
Help us spread the word about "blogs 4 boobies"  the more people that know, the more money we can raise!!!
*"How to place a bid on my card/project"
Step #1
Find the comment section of the blog that shows the "Blogs 4 boobies" card or project that you want to buy.  *Please note you may only bid on the card/project shown in the specific "blogs 4 boobies" post. *Any bids not placed on the correct post will be considered invalid.
Step #2
Once you are in the "blogs 4 boobies" comment section fill in the dollar and cents amount of what you are willing to pay for the card/project.  We recommend a starting bid of $5 or more. Remember your bid includes shipping as well as the card/or project.  100% of the money your bid will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation
Step #3
Next to your $ bid please type in your email address. During a silent auction bidders sign their name next to their bid. typing your email address is the electronic equivalent of signing your bid.  Also it will help the blogger contact you if you are the highest bidder.
Step #4
Watch and wait.
Once you have entered your bid/comment sit back and wait.  If someone out bids you then you may bid again.  Bidding will continue until 8:00 p.m. Mountain time September 23rd.
* Please note that the participating stampers/bloggers will probably re-post their Blogs 4 Boobies card/project on the 23rdof September.  When the blogger re-post their project  then the bidding will continue on the NEWEST post and that comment section.

Things to keep in mind:
Near the end of the bidding you may not see bids as they come in. Most blog have a comment feature where the blogger must approve comments before they are published.  So bid high.  You might have the highest bid that is published, but someone might have outbid you in an unpublished comment/bid.
The blogger/designer will declare who has won the silent auction.  Skipping Stones Design will send you an invoice for your donation/bid amount.  Please pay that invoice as soon as possible, so the designer can get your card/project in the mail to you.

Mojo Monday Sketch

Good morning, I am sharing this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo156; it is actually one of my sketches(thanks Julee for using it).  I flipped it to make a taller version of the sketch.  I used an older SU designer paper called Sweet Slumber on the back panel and then paper pieced the balloons with the same solid matching colors.  I used stickles on the balloons for a little dress up on the card.  I will be sending this card to OWH to celebrate their month long birthday celebration over at the Stars & Stripes Blog, otherwise I would have used gems or glitter.  Anything that can fall off is not acceptable for sending to the soldiers.  I hope that you can play along with this weeks mojo sketch and pair it up with the OWH celebration.  You can also win free Verve in the process, find out more here!  I hope your Monday is the start of a fantastic week...enjoy!

Curtain Call Colors-Operation Write Home

Good morning all, this is a long post but I have some exciting news to share and the information here is important.  The awesome news is that I have the humble and honored opportunity to help Operation Write Home Celebrate there birthday this month.....yippie!  I am going to encourage you to play along and submit your cards to OWH.  They are having challenges everyday and prizes, you can read more about that here.  My challenge is up tomorrow and of course there will be prizes, you will have two chances to win.  I have made a birthday card today to wish OWH a very happy birthday!  I have made two cards, the first card cannot be sent to OHW, it is square.  There are guidelines you must follow when submitting your card to send to the soldiers, sending only A2 cards is one of those guidelines....you will need to go here and read all about that.  I also tend to make my cards a little cas(plainer) because of the whole shipping thing.  Remember these cards will be shipped at least three times.
I have used this weeks Curtain Call Colors Act47, they are great manly colors.  I was thinking about the women who serve when I was making these.  I made my own ticket, I do not have a ticket die yet(notice I say yet...hehehehe).  I took kraft paper and cut it to the size I wanted, clipped the ends with my SU punch, and then distressed the ends.....so easy!  These fit  Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, ssnotime156; challenge, to make it manly.  I also used the sketch from OCCSC31 a week or so back, the stamps are Skipping Stones Designs, luv this cake!

For this card I used the same Curtain Call Colors and the sketch from Taylors Sketch Challenge, TESC127.  I flipped the sketch and used all Verve stamps on this one.  Be sure to give the Curtain Call DT some luv and I cannot wait to see what you create, you have plenty of challenges to get your mojo flowing.
