Glitz Designs

Be sure to enter my Birthday Blog Giveaway here on click on the cupcake to the right!

Hi friends, I hope you are having a great summer, you know it will be over before we know it; so make the most of it!  I am sharing with you today a couple of girly cards, teehehehe..I can't help myself.

I have used the Glitz Pretty In Pink Collection for this card.  I adore the Pretty In Pink collection, so much glam!  Just my style.  I have used a chipboard die cut for the main focus, gorgeous and quick and easy.  I used the teeny alpha letters to make the sweet little tag.  A super simple card using so many of the Glitz options.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper:  Pretty In Pink
Glitz Design Card Stock Stickers:  Prett In Pink Titles
Glitz Design Teeny Alpha:  Pink Woodgrain

My next card was fun to design, when I saw the crown in the French Kiss stamp set I knew I wanted to add wings to it.  I stamped the crown on vanilla card stock, cut it out, and then added these sweet glittery wings I had in my stash.  I adore Glitz designer paper, so I wanted to use as many as I could in my card.  I decided on vertical panels of the Glitz patterned paper, distressed of course to give it the shabby look.

I stamped out the sentiment also from the French Kiss stamp set, cut it out and sponged around it to give more depth.  I added ruffled ribbon, with bakers twine, and finished it with a sweet Pretty In Pink giant rhinestones.

Supplies Used:
Glitz Design Paper:  Pretty In Pink
Glitz Design French Kiss:  Clear Stamps
Glitz Design Pretty In Pink:  Giant Rhinestones

I am thrilled you stopped by to check out my Glitz card creations!

Have a wonderful day, be sure to sprinkle it with a little Glitz!

Frilly & Funkie Challenge/Inspired by One of The Renaissance Men

Be sure to enter my Birthday Blog Giveaway here on click on the cupcake to the right!

Good morning, it is time for another fun challenge from the Frilly & Funkie challenge team.  Anita, has brought this weeks challenge to us, here is her take on it in her own words....Let's pay homage to any of the four big Renaissance Men (or Ninja Turtles...lol) who have inspired us all at one time or another - Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello,  Raphael. Show a project depicting any one or more of their works, tell which it is, and who created it.  I immediately decided on Raffaello and the sweet cherub painting...I am such a romantic...lol.  I adore the sweet faces and the angel wings and was inspired to create a "love" card.  The angel wings are awesome, you can get yours at The Funkie Junkie Boutique...so cute!  I cut the  heart using the Sizzix Heart Wings Die, covered it with glitter and adhered to the wings.  The gorgeous sheet music is from the Crafty Secrets digital pack I showed a couple of weeks ago.  This sheet music is so vibrant, I luv using it!  Head over to the Frilly & Funkie Blog and check out the other frilly creations.  I hope you have a wonderful day...enjoy!

You can join us for the summer themed fun here.  Don't ya just luv this months challenge?  When I think of summer, I think of travel; so my cards are all depict traveling and getting away! Two things I luv doing, but it is always so nice to come back home.  You know, there really is no place like home!
So keeping with the theme, The Glitz Happy Travels packs are what I reached for, so many fabulous embellishments, papers, and stamps. For my first card creation I used the Happy Travels paper pack, check out the flowery airplane; that is so me, girly and fun! I added a set of tickets, this card would be great for the person who never gets away or takes a vacation.

Glitz Design Happy Travels: Glitzers
Glitz Design Happy Travels: Epoxy Words
Glitz Design Happy Travels: Giant Rhinestones
Other Supplies: Seam Binding Ribbon, Machine Stitching, Distressing Tool, Glue Dots, and 3D Foam Squares

For my second card creation, I also used The Happy Travels packs.  I used the stamp set for this one and had so much fun!  I wanted to design a postcard for the front of my card, I used the various stamps in the set and stamped an array of images on my postcard.  I added the Epoxy Words across the front and a sweet flower.  Makes me want to pack my bags, what to go along?

Supplies Used:

Hello Frilly & Funkie friends, I am so glad you are joining us this week, I had so much fun with my card!
