Butterflies, Sunshine, & Smiles

Hello, I am sharing a card today using the Clean & Simple sketch FTL84 and the gorgeous color combo from Stacey;s Curtain Call Act23.  I used the SU Butterfly die to make the layered butterfly.  I added a SU corduroy button with a added pink button on top.  I used the bubbles embossing folder and the EK Success border punch on the bottom section.  The sweet sentiment is Verve's Let It Shine.  It is a gorgeous day here in VA, I hope you are having sunshine and smiles in your life no matter what the weather.  Enjoy!

Verve Project Parade-Day 6

This is my project for the Verve project parade, the them is "Flowers".  I have been wanting to make one of these paper wallets, the tutorial is from SCS.  Of course I had girly in mind, but wow it really turned out girly with lots of bling.  If you have not tried one of these you should, it was super easy to make.  I used the very beautiful and elegant flower from the Easter Joy set.
I heat embossed the flowers, cut them out, and added a clear gemstone to the centers.  To see the inside head over to the Verve Blog and be sure to leave a comment on the Verve Blog, you could win FREE Verve!  The inside shows the sides and the color of pink Bazzil card stock I started with.  Once you add a tiny bit of sponging, the versamark, and embossing powder; it did change the color of the paper to a darker pink.
I made a card to match using this weeks mojo sketch, you can see the sketch and all the mojo makers creations at the The Mojo Monday Blog,  the sentiment is from the Beautiful You set.

Sweetly Thinking Of You

Good morning, these are the cutest displayed cupcakes, I was drawn to the fun, big flower.  This is for today's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, CIC52 There is so much about these cupcakes to get your inspiration flowing, I hope you play along with us!  My card recipe is using the darling paper from Basicgrey and it is called Green At Heart.  It is so pretty, the colors are luscious.  I used two different punches, I really like the look of the layered borders.  The purple layer is using a EK Success border punch and the orange layer is using the Fiskars border punch.  I used the ProvoCraft Argyle embossing folder on the top portion of my card.  I finished my card with ribbon tied with a button and the cute butterflies.  I added Stickles to the butterflies for a little glimmer.  I used the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches #59 and the glitter challenge at Stampin Royalty, SR12.  I hope you will play along with us this week, it is always fun to be inspired by yummy cupcakes.  Enjoy!
Be sure to check out the other sweeties ceations to get you inspired!

Also, for the continued support, kindness, visits, and sweet comments I am offering a blog give away, you can enter that here.
I created this card for several challenges, another new one that I discovered.  It is called The Shabby Tea Room and you can read all about the stitching/spring challenge at Debbie's blog.  I also used Karen's sketch, SSSC61 and the colors from Stacey's color challenge, ACT22.  I was also chosen one of the Top 5 from last weeks Curtain Call.  I have the award here to make it simple.  This is also my submission for today's CAS59, to be inspired by New York.  I have a list of places I want to visit, NY is on that list.  I was inspired by so much, the flowers in Central Park, the bright fun funky colors, and all of the design in my card.  NY and design go hand and hand.  I used Verve stamp sets Let It Shine and Celebration Of Thanks,
be sure to head over to the Verve Blog, the project parade has started and the theme is "Fun With Flowers".  I hope you can play along with us; what a fantastic theme, don't ya think?  I stamped the flowers, colored with copics, and popped the up. A simple thanks sentiment, scalloped border punch, and a row of stitches finishes my card.   Also, I wanted to share a Kreative blog award given to me by the sweet Rosie.  Please take time to visit her, she is super talented!  Enjoy.

Thanks For Caring

Hello, and a happy weekend to you, I created this for today's IC224.  I chose the first sushi cake as my inspiration.  This is for the Card Patterns Sketch, 55 and for The Color Throwdown Color Challenge, CTD84.  I used PTI Blooming Baby Bits image with a verve sentiment, "thanks for caring" from the set Thankful Hearts.
I have not been around this week, my dh had to have open heart surgery, he is fine.  He had to have a valve repair because of a birth defect.  It has been a tiring and stressful week but he has come through the surgery with ease.  I will be making lots of thank you cards in the coming days, lots of friends, family, and the hospital staff have been by our side.  We have had lots of support and many many prayers going up for us.  I will be able to be home with him for several weeks so I hope to get some stamping done during my down times.  I will have a blog giveaway Monday, be sure to check back!  Enjoy.
