A Wish For Peace

To see my Verve sneak peek card scroll down one!
I am sharing a manly Christmas card with you, I think most of us struggle with manly cards.  I think I great way to help with that is to use some sort of technique.  I have used the cracked glass technique on this fabulous Penny Black stamp, it is called Wish For Peace
This is a super easy technique; stamp your image, cover entire image with VersaMark, pour Judikins Embossing Powder over entire image, heat emboss, repeat several more times, put image into freezer, take out a bend to crack the embossed layered.  You can also sponge with a darker ink to give it a more vintage look.  This is a great technique for making manly cards.  I used the open scalloped border die from My Favorite Things, a little stitching, My Mind's Eye Lush ribbon, and the sentiment tag.  I also used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC90.  I hope you have a super day,  I know you are gearing up for the weekend..I am!  I have had to work a couple of Saturdays lately, this is not my idea of fun...lol.  I will have lots of time off come the holidays....woohoo...I am super excited about that.  Have a fabulous day...enjoy!

Happy Christmas Memories

Good morning, I am sharing today another card made with my JustRite stamps, I am really loving the versatility of these.  I used today the Christmas Nested Frames and Christmas Nested Sentiments.  I sponged and distressed the main sentiment panel, I also raised it up on 3D adhesive.  The snowflakes are punched out and have added chunky glitter.....these are gorgeous!  The Ivory ribbon is from May Arts, this is amazing too, you can move it and squish it any way you want.....I really like the extra depth and texture it adds. I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC88 and the colors from The Color Throwdown, CTD114.  This is also for the SCS Cling To Challenge to use ribbon, HYCCT14.  I hope you have a wonderful day, it is only one more day before the weekend...yippie.  Make the most of every moment....enjoy!

Pink Paper Flower

I have created this for the SCS Cling To Challenges, HYCCT11; to make a paper flower.  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL111, this is a super sketch, I designed mine on a tilt.  I added a little bling, gotta have the bling....hehehe.  These style of paper flowers are my favorite, you use a scalloped circle punch or nesties.  Cut out as many layers as you want(I normally use five, you can use more to make it fuller)  Scrunch them up, stack them, add a brad, and start squishing them together.  The photo below is from of our motorcycle trips this week....doesn't it look so peaceful...I luv this photo.  This church is nestled in the surrounding mountains where we live.  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments...enjoy!

Stampers Dream Team

Good morning, the day has finally come, I can let you in on a super exciting secret I have been keeping.  Michelle from Stampers Dream has asked me to be apart of the Dream Team...eeekkkkk....I graciously said yes!  If you are not familiar with Stampers Dream do check it out, the store is full of the latest stamps, papers, and embellishments.  Great names like, Basicgrey, Impression Obsession,  Just Rite, Tim Holtz, My Mind's Eye, Cosmo Cricket, and many, many more...head over and check it out!
My card I am sharing today, is using the fabulous tree set from Impression Obsession, this tree is wonderful!  I used a new technique from yesterday's TLC294 Wet Paper Stamping, it gives your image a smeared look, but it is really gorgeous! I used the so fun paper pack from My Mind's Eye, I Believe and a Tim Holtzs border die, some stitching, distressing, and embossing to complete my Christmas card.  The sweet sentiment is from the set Stampendous Christmas Retreat.  This is also the sketch for OCC.  Be sure to look for my Stampers' Dream creations in the future!  Enjoy.
