Polar Bear Christmas

I created this for today's TLC227, to use faux burnt edges on your creation, I luv doing this with Christmas creations. This also for the OCC sketch.
I used the Polar Bear Digi, to learn how to get yours go here. I distressed the edges and then used different browns and finally black ink to get the burnt look, I luv it! I colored the image with copics, added a few Kaiser Craft pearls, ribbon, and oh yeah, I got me new score pal today so I decided to score some lines on the Prism Crabapple paper. All the papers are Prism. I hope you like it and enjoy your evening!

Give Thanks

Good mojo Monday morning to everyone, I have changed the look of my blog and I am trying to get used to the difference. I am having a hard time getting accustom to the new style. I hope you like it, I think it will grow on me, I like it better today than yesterday.
Onto today's Mojo Sketch, as you can see I flipped my clockwise. I saw the new SU cattie on Saturday and it has so put me in the mood for Fall and Christmas....I know some of you are probably, thinking "please let us get through summer"...lol....I luv warm weather, but I do luv Fall and Christmas decorating more. I do not like cold weather, but I luv decorating and creating for the colder months, I wonder if that says anything about our personalities? Look for more Fall and winter/Chrsitmas creations to come. I used one of the SU in colors that is retiring as of tomorrow, tangerine tango, I used Bazzil Mud Pie and Birchtone Light. The dp is retired Haiku from SU, I used the Nestie Label One shape and stamped the Verve pumpkins, colored them with copics, cut them out, and popped them up with glue dots. I sewed around the larger panel with my Janome, added a couple of brads, and stamped the sentiment and punched it out with SU circle punches and popped it up. What do you think of my Mojo creation? Don't forget to head over to the Mojo Sketch Blog and check out the other mojo makers fabulous creations. Enjoy your Monday, it is my first day back to work after being off for sixteen days......I will need a nap when I come home...lol.

Masculine A La Carta

I created this for todays fun LS226 to create a card choosing items off the menu. It was lots of fun, we had three groups to chose from and we had to chose one item from each group. The catch was not matter what you choose your creation had to be masculine. Check it out and paly along. This is also the last sketch of the Verve sketch release challenges, you can learn more about that here. I am really luvin the 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 size cards, they are perfect. I luv a square card, but think the 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 can be to big. You can get the envies for the 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 at A Muse, they are actually 4 1/2 x 4 1/2. I paper pieced the stars, added some chocolate twine, and the copper HPH. I hope it meets all the guidelines for the masculine a la catre creation. Enjoy your day, it's finally Friday!

A Bold Hello

I created this card for todays WT224, to make your creation bold and bright. I do not use SU bold brights much, I only have real red, but I do have some dp that will talk to ya...lol. I chose this Cosmo Cricket dp called Honey Honey. I also used one of the sketches for the Verve release challenge. You can learn more about that here. I decided to sew down the angle rather than using two different dp's. I want to use my Janome all the time, so I am always looking for ways to use it. I really luv the look. I paper pieced the balloon with the same dp. I added a little tag using the tag nesties and added Kaiser pearls for accents. I hope you like my bold hello sunshine card. Enjoy your evening!
I wanted to let you know about the Sweet 'N Sassy Blog Hop that will begin Tuesday June 30, the line up is listed on the top left. I hope you can join us for the hop and show some luv to the fabulous SNSS DT. We will be saying goodbye to a view and hello to the new comers.
One more thing I know you will want to know, Tenia Sanders Neslon is having a DT call for the Jazzy Inspiration Blog, you can get all the details about that here. Tenia is a doll to work with so I do hope you will create you best work and submit it to her for your chance to be apart of her team.

See The Miracles In Each Day

Good morning gals, it's hump day and there are only two more days until the weekend. The days go by so fast, especially when you are on vacation. I am headed back to work on Monday, I am very thankful to have a job to go back to, KWIM?

Today's card is a snazzy version of a CAS, I dressed it up a bit by adding pearls and satin ribbon. I used the awesome set from Sweet 'N Sassy called Beautiful Borders. If you luv creating CAS cards then this set is for you, the options are endless. I have luvd every card I have seen made with this set. I also used my Prism papers, I luv the colors and shades that Prism offer. Speaking of Prism, Jamie is having a give away.....yeah..... free stuff! Click on the link here to get all the details and to enter for your chance to win. The color Burned(a chocolate color) and the color I used today Blush Red Dark are two of my favorite Prism colors. I also used Birchtone Light another one of my favorites...lol....I have lots of favorites, I really luv color! I added tiny sweet pearls to the center of each flower, added the lush dark red ribbon, and my sentiment tag cut out with my nesties was added with creamy satin ribbon. I hope you like today's card and have time to swing by SNSS to check out all the new releases.

I also want to thank Jennifer for giving me this blog award, her blog is Jennifer's Cards. Go by and check out her fabulous creations and show her some luv. Lets see now, I am to list seven things about myself....ok here goes:
1. First and foremost, serving our Lord and Saviour is the most important thing in my life. I want to share this scripture with you Philippians 3:12-14. When things are tuff and there seems like there is no light at the end of the tunnel I am reminded of this scripture. I hope you are encouraged today.
2. I was REALLY born with red hair, I get asked lots now days if it is colored. When I was younger no one asked because it was not very popular. But, it sure is now.
3. I could eat Pizza anytime, even for breakfast, cold.
4. I do not like clutter, even in my stamping area(notice I said area, I don't have a room).
It sometimes gets that way, I haven't met a stamper yet that is not a little gluttered....lol.......actually it's like that all the time to me.
5. I really LOVE my DH, REALLY!
6. I am afraid of heights and have never ridden a roller coaster, REALLY!
7. I would luv to see the world, I luv traveling.
I want to nominate all the gals from Sweet 'N Sassy, these girls are super creative and some of the finest people I have ever met. You can find each of their blogs here in the sidebar, left. My passion for creating has given me the chance to meet some fabulous ladies that I can call friends, that has to be the best part! Enjoy your day.

For Someone Special

I created this card for Verve sketch challenges that Julee has created for the new Verve release this Friday night, woohoo....new Verve. I can't wait to see what Julee has put together for us now. You can learn all about these sketch challenges and how to enter to win here. I used my favorite color for this one, green and of course I had to add Prism paper a chocolate color called Burned. All of the paper is Prism accept for the dp, it is SU. I also used my Janome sewing machine, I want to sew on all of my cards lately, luv the look. I used Verve stamps, Beautiful Kindness and a Plain Jane, Psalm 51:10. I used the scroll in the Beautiful Kindness set and stamp it off and then stamped on my paper, I then used Momento rich Cocoa and stamped the verse on top. The fancy green medallion is by WeRMemory Makers. I hope you like my version of the sketch, it is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square. Enjoy your day!
BTW, I also added another picture from our vacation, this one is a group picture at Deals Gap. It is where everyone stops before or after riding the Tail Of The Dragon, it got it's name because there are 318 curves in eleven miles......that's an average of 29 curves per mile....it's a motorcyclists dream come true!

Thinking Of You

Good mojo Monday morning, wow peeps I am so very tired. Going on vacation makes you need a vacation......lol....greatfully dh and I do not have to go back to work until next Monday....woohoo! I have missed creating and the blogging world while I was away, although I did not let it get in the way of having a wonderful time. Travel on a motorcycle for eight days is very tiring but man is it a blast, I really do luv it! I have a few more photos for you to peek at. The photo of the waterfall is Bald River Falls in Tennesse, I am standing right under the fall. We went climbing over a few rocks to get right underneath the falls, it was truly breathtaking to be that close. From there we drove the Cherohala Skyway in NC, wow what a beautiful drive, especially on the motorcycle. The other photo is dh and I on the bridge crossing over the falls, my eyes are closed but I luv this picture. I think it is cozy, the way he is holding me tight....aaahhh!
Today's mojo sketch is fantastic, I luv the smaller panel off from the main panel, lots of variation. I chose to use soft pinks and close to cocoa for this one, I also used the Verve stamp sets Floral Symphony and Artful Elegance. I ran the panels through the CB using the scalloped rectangle nesties and then sponged them with SU pink pirouette. I took copic marker BG93 and went around the stems of the flowers, I colored the flowers blossoms with copic R20 and RV11. I added a pink gemstone to the center of each one. I added pink grosgrain ribbon to complete my card. I hope you have a wonderful week and slide on over to the Mojo Monday Sketch Blog to check out the other mojo makers fabulous creations! Enjoy.

Blessings

This is a sneak peak at my Prism creation for this week, the theme this month is "what are you inking". You can see all of my creation over at the Prism Blog, be sure to head over there and check it out. I chose to ink up one of my favorite trees it is from Sweet 'N Sassy set called Doodle Birds. I luv this tree and I really luv using the brush end of a marker to make little hearts to adorn the tree branches. Try it for yourself, I lay the brush end of the marker down and pick it up and lay it in the opposite direction making a heart, way too cool! I know you are thinking "whats the big deal", but it's the little things that I find enjoyment in, really. I used some of my favorite colors of Prism paper, Birchtone Light, Burned, and Indigo Columns. This is such a warm color combo and by adding the ric rac ribbon really adds to the coziness. I used the flower nesties to make the shape, layer it, and of course sponged the outside with Momento rich cocoa ink. I hope you enjoy my warm and cozy card.....have a great day!
Today if you are wondering, we are in Asheville, NC. We are going to Grandfathers Mountain and if you have never been there well it is one of the places on my list of places you need to see. It is gorgeous, such breathtaking views; I am trying really hard to get some fabulous picture to share when I return. Now for the card deets.

Hello everyone, we should be in North Carolina today, hello to my friends in North Carolina. Goodbye:( to my friends in Tennessee. We are headed on the great curvy roads of North Carolina to take in the beautiful scenery and enjoy the open roads.
Today's card is for the Sweet 'N Sassy Round-Up, I hope you have time to stop by the Sweet 'N Sassy Blog to check out every ones awesome creations. I luv this little Top Note card, I used SU dp called Parisian Breeze and stamped onto the dp with the Sweet 'N Sassy set called Dream Silhouettes, luv this set too! I inked up the cone flowers in this set with my SU markers, huffed on it, and stamped on to the image. The tiny butterflies are a Martha Stewart Butterfly punch, she has lots of butterfly punches. I stamped the sentiment in Momento rich cocoa and added the SU pewter Hodge Podge Hardware. I tied a tiny piece of ribbon to the HPH and added tiny basicgrey pearls to the butterflies to complete my card. I hope you like it and enjoy your day!

Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life

Good Monday morning, it's mojo time! If all goes as we have planned, dh and I are in Pigeon Forge Tennessee and having a wonderful time. Can I get a shout out for anybody from Tennessee? I am waving hello to all you gals from Tennessee as we cruise down the road on our Harley, I sure hope to have some great pictures when I return. I am really bad about critiquing pictures of myself, just ask my dh..lol....he takes "do overs" all the time...lol!
Well on to days card, I used the Verve Plain Jane Whimsy Tree and the sentiment from Fluttering By. I sponged the tree with old olive ink and the outside of the main panel with soft sky. I used an older dp from SU, Prism paper Iced Teal Light and Spring Willow Medium. The Iced Teal Light matches the old SU color Soft Sky perfectly. That is the one thing I luv about Prism, if SU made it and you luv it, you can get it with Prism papers. I added stickles to the tree to add some shimmer, the crocheted flowers are from my friend Wanda(waving). I added a soft sky brad to the center of each one. Bes ure to check out the other fabulous creations from the mojo makers here. Enjoy your Monday and always look on the bright side of life!

Life Is Good

Good morning, its Mojo Monday time; Julee has designed us another fabulous sketch. This is another one of my favorites, give it a try! I chose to use my new favorite set from Verve called Up, Up, and Away. These balloons are fabulous for coloring and for paper piecing. I luv to paper piece the balloons because you can get the real feel of Hot Air Balloons.
Check out these beautiful Hot Air Ballons they come in all sorts of designs, some of them are truly gorgeous. For the last ten years every July 4 a Hot Air Balloon celebration goes on at VMI in Lexignton, VA. DH and I ride the motorcycle and enjoy the day watching the balloons, listening to the music, eating, and of course watching the fireworks. Sorry, I got lost in the moment, on to my card for today.
I used SU chocolate chip, riding hood red, and pink pirouette. I used my Janome for sewing the two bottom panels. I sponged the main panel with chocolate ink, I added the Basicgrey pearls at the bottom in a cluster. I luv this, when I saw Julee's cards here and here with the pearls like that I knew I was going to try it, luv it! I finished it off with a "Life Is Good"sentiment. I like them, but I am really a layer, embellie kinda of girl......lol....I always look at my CAS creations and think what is missing? CAS cards are great for showing off more of my Prism, this is the Papaya Puree shades, aren't they gorgeous? I used Papaya Puree light, medium, and dark. God Is Good

God is good, I know that alot of you may be going through or have gone through some tough times. I want to remind you that God is there with you and no mater what you are facing God is good now and always. So have faith, look up and keep you heart and mind focused on the things of above.
For todays card I am pushing the envie trying to fit in as many challenges as I can first WT221, to make your card using anything such as punches and your own design of cutting. I used the small and large oval punches to make my butterfly. I then cut using my scissors on the wings to give them some curvy, pretty shape. I added kaiser pearls to the body and smaller ones to the wings. It is for SC231, the sketch for Wednesday over at SCS. Also for TPE17, to use 3 buttons(I used pearls) 2 layers, and 1 sentiment. I made my card 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square, I used Sweet 'N Sassy stamps for this one; Doodle Flowers and Trust In The Lord. I also used my new fabulous Prism papers, these colors are outstanding, it you are tired of not having the SU in colors from the past years, don't worry no longer because Prism has a color to match them.....luv that!
