Frilly & Funkie Challenge/RePurpose to UpCycle

Hello peps, I am super exciting about today's post, why you ask?  Because I adore my finished project, I do not say that very often about my own work...lol.  It is time for another new Frilly & Funkie challenge, this weeks is repurpose/upcycle.  For the challenge, use at least two repurposed items to create an upcycled paper project,  I have used the tin and the alpa letters I had lying around.  I cannot wait to see what you create this week, don't forget to head over to the Funkie Junkie Boutique and catch great shipping deal Linda is offering!  If you are like me, I luv to save on shipping!

Here you can see the sweet little typewriter alpha letters.  I didn't have a "t" so I took the "i" and turned it on its side...it gives it much more character, don't ya think?  I black out the bottom part with a sharpie marker....too cute!  I have used the amazing dies from Tim Holtz, I adore the shapes and sizes he has to offer, check them out here!

I am remolding my creating studio (lol....area)...it is a slow process, but anyway I thought my new upcycled tin would look great on my new shelves.  I have added scissors for the photo, but not real sure what it will house once its in place.  I hope you have a wonderful day....enjoy!

  2. Hi Teresa! I love your recycled tin. Your used of the papers to cover it look fantastic! I love the label die cut you used for your "CREATE" focal point. The rosette flower really looks great and the vintage lace at the top and bottom just finishes off your altered tin so beautifully! Thanks for sharing your work with us at Simon Says Stamp and Show. <3 Candy
