Enjoy Today

Hello friends, I want to share a CAS card with you as well as some other sad news; I have been quite sad this week.  We had to put our 8 year Boxer, Jesse down this past Wednesday. Unfortunately, I have had to deal with death several times this year.  I choose the sentiment, "enjoy today" I have come to know how important it is to enjoy today, we are not guaranteed tomorrow!  We found out at the end of January Jesse had cancer, I know you cannot replace animals but for the last 16 years I have had always had a boxer; sometimes two(I totally luv this breed). I contacted a guy at the end of January to enquire if he had any, he said no and I thought no more about it.  Jesse kept getting worse and we knew the time had come, we took her Wednesday.  I was totally shocked when the guy I contacted in January contacted me Thursday to tell me he had a litter of Boxers and they where born on Wednesday, I knew we had to go look at them.  We went today and have decided on one, her name is Lexi and we will be able to bring her home on May 8.  We cannot replace sweet Jesse and even in our sadness we look forward to bringing Lexi home!

  5. Gorgeous card! One of my all time favorite color combos! I love the gorgeous lace you added! I am so sorry to hear about Jesse. I had chills though when I read the next day you received a call about adopting Lexi! Our 11 year old cat had to be put asleep a short time ago due to illness so I am thinking of you!

  6. Oh Teresa - I'm so, so sorry about Jesse. They never leave our hearts, and saying goodbye to them is so hard. Jesse lived the best life a dog could live - safe, and loved. He'll be waiting for you in heaven.

And I'm so happy Lexi will be there to help you heal your broken heart.

You are in my prayers - I know things will get better for you!

    Hugs.

  23. Hello Teresa,
Thank you so much for your kind words on our loss of Cookie.
I am so, so sorry to hear that you lost your beautiful girl, Jesse around the same time. Love her sweet photo :)

It's lovely to know that you will be getting a new puppy. I'm sure we will eventually do the same. But it was such a shock to loose Cookie as she had just had her check up and we were told she was in good health.

Sending (((hugs))) and I hope you will share some photo's when your new fur baby, Lexi arrives xxx
