For Someone Special

I created this card for Verve sketch challenges that Julee has created for the new Verve release this Friday night, woohoo....new Verve. I can't wait to see what Julee has put together for us now. You can learn all about these sketch challenges and how to enter to win here. I used my favorite color for this one, green and of course I had to add Prism paper a chocolate color called Burned. All of the paper is Prism accept for the dp, it is SU. I also used my Janome sewing machine, I want to sew on all of my cards lately, luv the look. I used Verve stamps, Beautiful Kindness and a Plain Jane, Psalm 51:10. I used the scroll in the Beautiful Kindness set and stamp it off and then stamped on my paper, I then used Momento rich Cocoa and stamped the verse on top. The fancy green medallion is by WeRMemory Makers. I hope you like my version of the sketch, it is 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 square. Enjoy your day!
BTW, I also added another picture from our vacation, this one is a group picture at Deals Gap. It is where everyone stops before or after riding the Tail Of The Dragon, it got it's name because there are 318 curves in eleven miles......that's an average of 29 curves per mile....it's a motorcyclists dream come true!

  1. Now this is beautiful. I love the sewn look on cards as well. I'm still trying to work out the kinks with my machine but hope to get it worked out soon. Love the colors you used and this is really an awesome sketch.

  4. Love the card. The colors look great and I love the sewing. I couldn't imagine all of those curves, that is a lot of leaning for the passenger. :)

  9. Wonderful, green card - as per my post on SCS :). That sounds like a wonderful stretch of road to ride. Only been on a motorcycle once and I think I konked helmets with my buddy more times than there were turns in the road. Also had a hard time leaning into the curve but the "if you don't lean we could wipe out" statement got me to lean LOL! So glad you enjoyed your ride :D

My son has been on the Trail of the Dragon several times, meeting there with fellow firefighters. He's headed to Tenna. tomorrow but near the VA. border. Glad you had a good trip, enjoy the rest of your days off.
