Snowflakes, Glitter & Pink Snow...Verve Giveaway

Good mojo Monday morning, I luv Mondays! I really adore this weeks sketch, I can see all sorts of things where the star is positioned, can't you? I am also so very excited to tell you that I will be giving away the Verve Christmas In The Air stamp set. I cannot thank you enough fo the kind comments and visits. You make blogging fun and I want to show my appreciation. Lets get to the details of the blog candy..........

I like getting to know you better, so let see what can I ask you......tell me your favorite holiday cookie and whether you like dipping or not, you know coffee, milk, or whatever...... how about that? Leave a comment and I will use random.org to pick a winner on Thursday November 5 at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.

I used three Verve sets for today's mojo card Christmas In The Air, Frosty Flakes, and Ornamental Christmas. I have a dear friend who adores pink, so I created this with her in mind, pink snow and all...hehehe. I used Flower Soft for the snow, buttons, glitter and paper piecing. I also used Basicgrey Eskimo Kisses, I really like this non traditional Christmas pack. I added diamond bling to each snowflake. I also used my new Provo Craft embossing folder Candy Cane Stripe. I actually got all the new Christmas folders. The LSS I told you about that is going out of business had them on order and offered them for 50% off, now that is a deal I couldn't pass up. I used Core paper and then sanded it to show the lighter color. I hope you enjoy your time creating and make time for someone in need today!

  1. Wow, gorgeous card :)! I would have to say my favorite Christmas cookies are Shortbread. Either with sprinkles or dipped in chocolate :). No dipping though, just plain the way they are...

Your card is stunning! I absolutely LOVE chocolate chip cookies. I know it's not very original...and I don't dip. I prefer the true flavour of the cookie all by itself!

As for cookies...I look forward to gingerbread and gingersnaps! I don't like dipping my cookies in anything because I like to takes only the delicious yummies and they have to be handmade of course.

  15. oops! I forgot to say what my fav cookie was. Well, I would have to say sugar cut-out cookies with icing. I love them with coffee or milk. My SIL makes the best ones.

    ReplyDelete
  16. well, in the past I would have said my favorite cookie is anything with chocolate but this is the first Christmas I can't have chocolate (regular chocolate) so I guess now I will say my fave holiday cookie is anything with white chocolate. Although a lady in my church has a cookie business and I LOVE LOVE LOVE her pumpkin spice with cream cheese icing and her lemon cookies with cream cheese icing.

  18. This is a cute card :D Love the pink snow and the dew drops on the tree. Fun DPs too :D

Thanks for the chance to win this fun set too! I honestly don't think I can pick a favorite holiday cookie. My mom makes about 15 different types of cookies every year: Chocolate with macadamian nuts in them, merranges with sliced almonds, chocolate with ground hazelnuts, coconut crescents, poppy seed and hazelnut cookies etc. Yes, we are spoiled :D. These aren't dipping types of cookies and in general I'm not a dipper. Keep up the wonderful creations - love visiting your blog :D

  19. Another gorgeous creation my friend...am so loving those DP's, and that tree! The bling and buttons are awesome too...oh, and that FlowerSoft? Great choice here!

Blog Candy?? Way cool, love that set from Verve!

It's hard to pinpoint my fave Christmas cookie, but I would have to say by far those White Almond Cookies...people have their own name for them...but they're the ones that have the powdered sugar on the outside and ground up almonds on the inside? They are the best! And I don't 'dunk' them into my milk, but I definitely do drink it with them! : )

  22. Your work is fabulous! I can't wait to see what you do each week and love your style, colors, everything. My favorite Christmas cookie is called a Melt Away. It's a very basic cookie made with corn starch which makes it "melt away" and frosted with a cream cheese frosting. My family and friends LOVE these cookies as well. They are the first to go.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Beautiful card! My favorite Christmas cookie is the shortbread cookies in the tin. No dipping for me!

  27. Your card is just gorgeous. I can not say what I like most. I like to get a card like this one. In my dreams, for sure.

About cookies? Hm, I'm not a coffee fun, I just have from time to time a Latte Macchiato in my favorite book shop with a book, if the two kids are not around. And if I add my best friend to this I just have a perfect moment.

Back to the cookies, I don't have a favorite one, I have more. They depend of season. In the summer: tiramisu; in the spring: brownie with cold milk; in the winter: chocolate cookies and spekulatius; and in the fall: cream cakes. you?

    ReplyDelete
  28. My favorite cookies? That would be my mom's chocolate chip cookies. They are good any time of the year and they are best dipped in some icy cold milk. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My favorite holiday cookie is my mom's Kringla. It has to be a special occasion for her to make these, as they require a lot of time and rolling and shaping. These are actually best - not dipped - but warm from the oven with butter melting all over them. Oooooohhhhhh.......

    ReplyDelete
  29. Your card today is really very pretty!!
I actually love all Christmas cookies but my all time favorite is a simple cutout butter cookie with frosting.

My favorite holiday recipe are candy cane cookies - a thin snap with candy cane pieces and oats of all things. I can't wait to make them again this year - I've been making those with my mom since I was a little girl. Oh, no dipping for me!

  45. Great card... pink is one of my favorite colors too! That is a fabulous Verve set.

My favorite holiday cookie is snickerdoodle... followed closely by tea cookies. Only make them at Christmas or I would eat too many. I am not a dunker with these cookies, but chocolate chip... that is a different story. A warm cc cookie & a glass of cold milk...mmmmm. Be blessed.

    ReplyDelete
  46. All the dimensional/sparkly elements make this a great holiday card. I like your non-tradtional color combo too.

I make a holiday cookie that is a shortbread (butter) cookie with dried cranberries and walnuts that is drizzled with white chocolate. Very festive looking and very delicious. I never dunk cookies.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I love these colours! I came to your blog via this DT card for Mojo Monday... it's gorgeous!! I loved the little snowflake and wondered where it came from - now I have a chance to win the set!
I love gingerbread men - but not the teeth-breakingly-hard ones! I don't personally dip those into my tea... but I dip Australian TimTams - they're divine!!

    Thanks so much Teresa!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I love this card, the patterned papers are beautiful and who wouldn't love pink snow?

My favorite cookie is a family favorite, Ginger snaps (even though they're soft and really molasses cookies). I'm not a dipper, because I hate anything to be soggy. I can barely even have milk on my cereal!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hi Teresa. What a remarkable card. I never would have thought of pink snow but it is sensational! My favourite holiday cookie would have to be my Mom's shortbread cookies. She uses my late grandmother's recipe and they just melt in your mouth, no dipping required.

  55. I'm CASEing your card Teresa as the card I make for my patients this Christmas. Pink snow!!! Perfect!!! I got some of the Verve new releases, but not this set - though I loved the shape of the Christmas tree.

My favourite holiday cookies are any that I am having with my family. I love just hanging with my brother and sister and their families with my Mama. I may even bake some myself this year.

And I'm not a dipper. Not into anything - 'cept a great big vat of chocolate - like them dry and fresh, straight from the oven.
