Happy Saturday!

I have several cards to share tonight, today's IC235 has beautiful items from Layla Grace.  There is a wonderful selection of household, accessories, and gift items.  I liked the things in this store so much I chose three different items for my cards tonight.  The first card is for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC71.  I have missed the deadline but used this sketch anyway.  I chose the fabulous bed and bedding here....wow!  I made a paper flower and made the center from black fabric like ribbon.  I used some of the Wild Wasabi that I have been hoarding, I figured since they are bringing it back I can use my stash....luv this color!

Winter Song Christmas

I have created this gift box full of cards and used four different sketches to complete it. The first sketch is Jen's Sketch For You To Try, SFYTT. I used the SU wide Baja Breeze ribbon and the Verve Christmas In The Air set. The second one is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC44. I used the SU top die instead of a circle, I added polished embellies, sponging and distressing. the third sketch is for Taylor's Sketch TESC91. I used only designer paper, some stitching and a punched snowflake covered with glitter. The sentiment you can't see is "Merry Christmas". The final sketch is for The Pink Elephant Challenge, TPE41. It is the little circle card, I used the Verve set Blessed Christmas. All card stock is Prism and the designer paper is SEI Winter Song. This is a gift that I am donating to a friend, for an upcoming action. I hope you have a wonderful day and be sure to make the most of family moments, enjoy!

Verve Sneak Peaks-Blessed & Star of Wonder

Good morning, I have two peaks to share with you today, the top card is the new set from Verve called Star of Wonder. I adore the sentiments and the fonts, Julee always picks the best fonts. I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch MTSC44 and used my Top Note Die, it will always be a favorite of mine. I also discovered a new challenge while at home this week, I am glad I have done something worth while.....hehehe. It is called Just For Girls or JUGS, they have a cute little story to tell about their name, you can read the post here to learn more.
I used two different SU dp's and My Mind's Eye dp. I heat embossed both the star and the sentiment, I added stitching down the side and few kaiser Craft pear;s and of course the ribbon, button, and twine. Don't forget to stop by the Verve Blog to see the other diva's peaks, those girls will not disappoint you! Enjoy all the great challenges and peaks this week!

Smile

Good morning, I hope you are ready for another Sweet Stop Sketch, this one has lots of possibilities. I changed the oval to the top note die shape, still luv this shape after all these months....hehehe. I did keep the box shape on top of the top note, it is perfect for sitting Elly, isn't this the cutest stamp. You can find her here, along with lots of other SNSS animal stamps here. I paper pieced her with SU dp and added the sentiment and a few Kaiser Craft pearls. I hope you make time to play with the Sweet and Sassy DT, you can see their great cards over at the Sweet Stop Blog Be sure to make time for family on this summer weekend and of course enjoy it!

Congratulations Mercy!

I created todays card for SCS FS120, Mercy.....she has amazing talent, check out it out and play along. I chose her fabulous card here to case, I changed the colors, the stamps, and the theme. I used the awesome new set from Verve called Up, Up, and Away...luv this wonderful set! I ssponged the edges of the fabulous textured watercolor paper(I don't know the name, it was given to me by a friend). I used dp from My Minds Eye called Bellezo and paper pierced the balloon. I used a wide checkered ribbon and added a SU corduroy button tied with twine. The sentiment is from the Verve set Artful Elegance, I can image being in a hot air balloon and shouting out to the sun "hello sunshine"...you know I luv that...hehehe. I really like the design of the balloons you can make them vintage or fun and flirty. Check out all the new sets from Verve and do some shopping. Enjoy your day, be mindful of others, and if you get the chance take a hot air balloon ride!

Mini Top Note bag

I created another mini bag, the one I had made didn't match dh's Valentines card. I had made it several weeks ago and wanted the mini bag to match his card. I got him a gift card from our local Harley Davidson shop and magnet mini lite he can use when he is working on his Harley. I wanted to share this mini bag, I really like how it turned out. The instructions are in the post below this one, I hope you enjoy your Valentines Day with your family and friends!

SNSS Monday DT Challenge #13/Mini Top Note Bag

I created this mini bag using the top die and my Sweet N' Sassy stamp set called Key To My Heart. I designed this mini bag for the SNSS DT #13 challenge, to make a Valentine treat holder. I wanted a mini bag to go with the top die, so I have came up with instructions on how to make one. Please let me know if you need further details. Here are the steps:
1. you will need a 10" x 4" piece of cs
2. a second piece of cs 11 1/4" x 2"
3. the 10" x 4" needs to be scored on the long sides at 1/2" and on the short sides at 4" and 6"
4. the 11 1/4" x 2" needs to be scored on 4" and 7"
5. fold on the scores and cut the small pieces so that the mini bag will sit up
6. add tacky tape to all of the outside of the mini bag
7. take the 11 1/4" x 2' scord piece and adhere to the tacky tape to close the mini bag closed
8. add the top die or another layer to make the outside any way you like
Also, please leave me a comment with a photo of your mini bag creation.....I would luv to see what you come up with! Enjoy making your mini top note bag. Use the keyword SNSMC13 if you upload to SCS or PCP.

The photo on the left is before the mini bag has the 11 1/4" x 4" piece of cs is adhered and the middle photo is the mini bag with the tacky tape and the photo on the right is the mini bag before you had your creations.
