He Is Risen

Good mojo Monday morning everyone, I luv Mondays accept when the alarm goes off at 5:15 am...lol...I always tell myself I am going to bed earlier. Julee has another fabulous sketch this week, lots of possabilities. I discovered a fabulous little challenge this weekend over at SCS and have been playing catch up to get up to date with the challenge. It is called CAS cards (Clean and Simple), anyway this sketch is perfect for that style of card. You can keep it clean and simple or you can add layers and embellies, whatever you feel like doing. I used the new Verve cross stamp, I added ultra mini pearls all over the cross, I am not sure if you can see them. Very sweet and delicate IRL. I did keep this one simple, I wanted this beautiful cross to speak for itself and the sentiment "He Is Risen".....praise the Lord! Hello everyone, can you believe how fast the weekends go by, it seems like it just started. I had some requests for me to list on my blog the challenges that I enjoying doing each week. Little Daisy Dress

I created this card todays IC172, I chose this beautiful little dress pink and green dress. I luv those little knots coming from the shoulder straps, it reminds me of a sun dress I had many years ago. This is also for the Amber's Viva la Verve sketch with a twist, the twist is to use only one embellie, she is calling it a CAS(Clean and Simple) but she also adds that the sketch is really not, but you can only use one embellie. I am going to try my hand at the CAS challenge over at SCS, this is going to be a difficult challenge for me, but I luv a challenge. I used the Veve Miracle Blossom set, the gorgeous Bella Rose dp from SU. I so luv this dp, the colors are some of my favorites. I hope you enjoy today, it is going to be a wonderful day! Flower Power

I created this card for four different challenges, I think there should be a challenge to see ho many challenges you can fit into one card...lol. Combining challenges can be an art too, don't ya think? It is for todays LSC212 at SCS, to use a flower or bulb and be soft spring colors. It is also for the March Dirty Dozen Fan Club sketch challenge, this month the theme is TV and Food. The keyword is DSKETCH0309 The sketch is a reminder of the Brady Bunch, one of my favorite shows when I was young. My TV theme for the card is The 70's Show, hence the title Flower Power. I am not a TV person, hardly watch any, maybe the news. DH had to help me with the TV show, I told him I wanted to use flowers on my card and he came up with the flower power from the 70's. Although, I am not happy with my card he is always encouraging me, he truly loves my creations....I love that man...lol! The hardest part about my card was fitting it to meet the OCC challenge to only use three layers and one type of embellie, for me this was the most difficult....I luv my layers and embellies. Finally this is also for Stacey's Jewelry Challenge #28, the flower is a pin. The colors are certainly celery, old olive, so safron, lavander lace, and white. Flip The Frog

I created this card using the brand new digi images from Sweet 'N Sassy, they where made available today check them out here. I am luvin Flip the Frog, I combined a couple of challenges in this one. I have to use my time wisely; I wish my forty hour week job was to create cards all week....lol....don't you wish that for yourself? This is aslo for The Pink Elephant Challenge #6, to use buttons. I used my SU corduroy kiwi kiss buttons and added ultra mini brads to the centers. It is also for todays SCS WT210, to use stickers. I used basicgrey letters and number stickers for the sentiement. I simply designed the inside of the card, I luv to do this too, I always create the inside if I used a dark card base. I hope you like my frog card and I also hope you have time to treat yourself to some fun and enjoyable creating time!

I created this for todays CC210 at SCS. You are to use summer sun, riding hood red, kraft, and black. I do not have summer sun, so I used so safron instead. I will be ordering summer sun my next order. This is really a great combo if you work with it and find the right images and papers. It is one of those combos that won't work with just any stamps or papers. This is also for Taylors Cupcake Sketch, TECC59 Check out her blog and play along. I used a Sweet 'N Sassy digi image, these are so afforable and so easy to use. Now, I will be the first to tell you that I will always luv my ink and rubbah, but the digi images are also awesome. Today is one of my favorite challenge at SCS, on Sunday one outstanding stamper is highlighted for their talent, today is FS110, Stacey...check out her gallery and play along. Blinged Butterfly

I created this for the Jazzy Inspiration Challenge, JAZZ07. I used a Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Butterfly image, colored with copics and SU markers. The colors this week are fabulous.They are taken with teal, green galore, black, and white. I used wild wasabi instead of green galore, I do not have but one BB color and that is real red. I luv these colors, they are from a new album from a group called the Soulives. I added bling to the back panel and then added bling to the wings. Enjoy your weekend!

30 Mins or Less

I created this card for LSC210 at SCS, to make a card in 3o mins or less, this was very tuff for me. I tend to be very hard on myself with my card making, so I felt a little rushed. I guess it turned out ok, so I did prove to myself I can do it, 28 mins to be exact. Challenge your self to a 30 min card. Sometimes we don't think we can do something, but give it a whirl you never know....you might be pretty darn good at that something! I made this a skinny card, so its seems taller than the average card, but it is not. The size is 3 x 5 1/2, I am really liking the smaller unique shaped cards. Enjoy your day!

Fun Pink Mix

I created this for SC218 and for Stacey's Jewely Challenge #26, this was a super hard color combo. She wants you to use elegant eggplant, orchid opulence, pink passion, pink piroutte, and white. Even though you stumped me this week I still love ya girl and luv your jewlery challenge! I used the butterfly from Sweet 'N Sassy, it is one of the digis they now offer. I used my SU markers to color the butterfly. I am still adding to my collection of copics and these colors are not in my stash, yet. Prayer & Grace

I created this for the scripture challenge and also for todays WT208, to make an ATC. I have a confession to make, I was not at all happy with my little ATC's today and was not going to share with you guys. And the Lord spoke to me very clearly, "Is this about me or you?" I want to bring glory to the Lord, so it is in obedience and love for the Lord that I share my ATC with you today. I used 2 Corinthians 13:9 for the word prayer. I used the scripture 2 Corinthians 12:9 for the word grace. This scripture brings tears to my eyes, because I am so weak and the Lord is made perfect in my weakness......Praise the Lord! So today if you are going through a tuff time, remember that God is made perfect in our weakness and His grace is sufficient for you today in your situation. I also have a picture of what the ATC holder looks now, it is so pretty. I just luv seeing all that paper, ribbon, and embellies in one palce on my desk. Enjoy your day and be blessed by Gods word!

Gods Way Is Perfect

Good morning everyone, as I typed the title of my card an overwhelmeing peace came over me. Gods way is perfect, and if you are going through a tuff time, take hope in those very words. I created this card for several challenges, the Sweet 'N Sassy DT Challenge, if you haven't played with those girls, you should give it a try. Every Monday they bring a new and different challenge. This weeks, I really luvd, you make a small ATC and turn it into a card. For those of you who don't know what an ATC is, it is a 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" sized card that was used at some point for artists to show there work to others without the hassle a big picture...pretty neat ugh? So, I started with the little ATC, luv them little guys. I used this beautiful Sweet 'N Sassy Digi Butterfly, if you haven't seen the digi images you gotta check them out. They are super easy to use and so much fun! I colored the butterfly with copics E47, E37, E31, and E00. Then I added the small tabs of ribbon, which brings me to my next challenge over at The Pink Elephant. The challenge this week is to use ribbons and die cuts. The main card I used the top note die and layered all the chocolate on chocolate, I know you gotta luv that. I am luvin all the chocoalte is this card, very pretty. Well, I have given alot of information to ya today, but hey at least its Wednesday and not Monday.....lol! I need to give you the keywords to keep you all orginized, if you upload to SCS/PCP and play the SNSS Dt Challenge use the keyword SNSMC16 and the the Pink Elephant use TPE.

"Winner" With All Things With Christ!

I just found out that I won The Pink Elephant Challenge this past week.....I went over to see this weeks challenge and there they had announced me the winner for last week.....this is so thrilling! Chocolate Regal Kiss

Todays color challenge is chocolate chip, pink passion, and kiwi kiss; I do not have the BB they are a little to wild for me, I used regal rose instead. Go here to see the challenge and all the other SCS creations CC208. I used an old set from SU called Nature's Secrets, I luv this set. I stamped it in chocolate chip and then took my regal rose marker and went around the petals, same thing with the stem using copic color YG03. I used SU dp's, added kiwi kiss ribbon, and a few regal rose brads. They are really not regal rose, but they match perfectly; sad part is I don't know where I got them. Feeling Groovy for this card, luv those little flowers. I added big chocolate brads to the centers and stickles to the flower petals, very sweet! I used the new SU textured dp, luv that stuff too, I have more coming. I used kraft, chocolate chip, and baja breeze. I created this card for the Viva la Verve sketch with a twist hosted by Amber, the twist this week is to use buttons. Oh, in case you are wondering I do luv the title of the card and the sentiment, it is soooo sweet and it is Verve. I used corduroy button/brads, I luv these; the flower stamp is Verve. I used SU chocolate chip, so safron, and white. I added ribbon and chocolate brads. If you play all month with these sketches you could win the entire Verve release, check it out. All Things With Christ

I created this for The Pink Elelphant Challenge #3, number four will post tomorrow so you can see I am a little behind. This challenge is a sketch with a filagree, a very pretty sketch. I do not have any chipboard filagrees so I cut this out of a fancy dp and added pop dots. The verse is a Verve Plain Jane scripture stamp. I added ribbon and dew drops. Enjoy your evening!

FS108 Congratulations Kelly!

A big congratulations to Kelly todays FS108, todays challenge is one of my favorites. You gotta go over and check it out and show Kelly some love! I chose my new favorite set from SU Trendy Trees, these are the cutest. What I like about them is you can use just one or two images for a small panel or you can use lots of different trees to make a tendy forest. I am playing with new stuff from SU, it may not be new to you but we just received ours, SU seems to be so slow these days. I also have the new sets Just Buzzin By and Yummy, can't wait to play with them. We have snow this morning in Virginia and more to come so I see a day of stampin right around the corner....yeah! It has been so busy in my world this past week, I would enjoy some stampin time. I chose Kelly's card here, I kept the stripes, polka dots, buttons, and same basic layout. I changed the colors, stamp set and added a sentiment. I cut out the tree blooms and raised them up on pop dots. I hope you enjoy your day and the snow for all of you on the east coast!
