This week the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge team is going to party, yep; we are starting early. We are challenging you to a party themed card and because it is a party the team is using whatever products they want from the Simon Says Stamp store. I have used products from the amazing paper smooches line.

What fun it was to create this card, I luv so much getting in my little studio and throwin some ink around...lol. I luv ink splatter and gems, enamel dots, and glitter...sounds like a party to me! I used the fun gold polka dotted paper from kaisercraft called a touch of gold...luv this pack of paper! I heat embossed the balloons and sentiment, aded the gold glitter...so fun. I can't wait to see what you create for our party. Add a little glimmer to your life...sparkle & shine, kindness!

hello peeps...for me it is time to break out the reds, pink, fuchsias, and corals.....I soooo luv making heart/love cards! Yes, it is my favorite. I am a romantic at heart and love all that goes with love...there really is nothing greater! When I saw the runway inspired challenge I new I would gravitate toward a romantic feel...I was inspired by all the red with the white pattern, hence the wendy vecchi white paste embossed corner. I have used the gorgeous altenew flower set called painted flowers. A little lawn fawn twine bow...luv the texture of this twine...it is perfect for a little substance. I adore the size too, just perfect...I think I need them all....teehehehe. This is a gorgeous red and white with a little shine called red sparkle! And you know how I feel about sparkle...*grin*. A card for a couple of challenges, having fun just creating! I have used the reverse confetti set, god is good...a very encouraging set. I did a little ink smashing, add the tag; it is also reverse confetti...thanks tag set. The fun heart die is from simon says stamp's new release, it is scribble heart and arrow dies. The twine is from lawn fawn sky, my first time trying it..I luv it, it is a great texture! update from google friend connect

hey friends, I have a little update to share concerning google friend connect. I had noticed I lost a lot of followers over night and could not figure out why....I was hoping it wasn't me or my boring posts....lol. Now I know, thanks to Gloria's blog post....thanks Gloria for sharing! If you are currently not signed on to google connect, consider doing so to be able to comment and follow your favorite blogs. You can read and comment on the blogger buzz.

An update on Google Friend Connect

In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.

As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.

We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.

We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

have a merry heart

a sweet gold, black and white cas card for the merry challenge over at casogoly. I luv the word merry and knew I wanted to play but didn't want to make a christmas card. I had this fun heart from concord & 9th on my desk already so I paired it with the black and white tag; I came up with the sentiment "have a merry heart"..I like it, a lot! The heart is from the set tree hugs and the have a is from the paper smooches set crystal clear. I am enjoying my time in the studio and cannot wait to create this coming week.....fun, fun! I am ready to get back to card making, creating non christmas cards. I did however you a christmas stamp fro these flowers, aren't they adorable. This is actually the poinsettia from right at home stamp set poinsettia...so very cute! I luv being able to use my stamps in other ways than what they are intended. I stamped them with simon says stamp twirling tutu ink and then used a white sharpie to create the sweeet polka dots...luv! I have also used the sketch from sweet sunday sketch, this is the last sketch for them...they are giving the sweet sunday sketch a rest, thank you Karen for the many amazing sketches you have shared! ok, poppies are another favorite flower...I know, I do say this about a lot of flowers...lol. I do luv sweet poppies, especially coral colored glittery ones....eeecckkkk...be still my beating heart! I have used prima watercolor pencils, I discovered them and luv them...I do need them all...lol...you will too if you try them, they are soft and flowie. I have then covered the poppies with tim holtz dry glitter, one of my favorite glitters too....I do have a lot of favorites..*grin*. Let's talk about the black & white gawgeous striped paper...I am in luv, it is from concord & 9th! It is more of a thick tissue paper, but man do I luv the modern look it gives to a card, you can see this card here that I used it on too. I colored the clothespin with the colored pencils too and also covered it with glitter...my kind of card....so fun! Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine, kindness!

I have been waiting for this gorgeous stamp set to restock, you can get yours here. It is from altenew and they have some stunning flower sets, this one is called; beautiful day. To receive a card made with these flowers is surely a beautiful day! I stamped it on watercolor paper and used the red cosmos dye inks. I then used prima watercolor pencils to fill in and do a little watercoloring. The prima watercolors pencils are very affordable and I luv how they colors...super nice addition to me collection! I will be using them more often and will have to pick up a few more colors, I used these for the flower. Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine, kindness!

hello frineds, I am off from work and enjoying some creating time. I know christmas is only four days away, but yes; I am ready to move on to other types of cards. Heart/valentine cards are my all time favorite to create, even though I do not send valentine cards much, I luv using hearts on my cards! This trendy heart is one of the new simon says stamp dies, scribble heart die; have you seen the new release? It is called you have my heart, check it out here! I have lightly sponged the heart with ink, added glitter, and one single pearl. The awesome sentiment is from the concord & 9th set, being classy...luv this versatile set! wonderful time of year

What a great way to start the year, with a simon says stamp card kit. There are so many possibilities for quick and easy cards. Having a card kit delivered to your door is a snappy way to create cards of kindness to share with others. I have used the card kit for january 2016, I know; I can't believe I just typed 2016 either....lol. I die cut the main scene with the simon says stamp stitched rectangle dies. Tied some bakers twine and the sweet iridescent snowflakes and added the lily white glitter sprinkles to the center. I have played along with can you case it....congrats to the team for #100 challenges...thank you for the fun! Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine, kindness!

merry christmas

hello friends, I am still working on a few christmas cards; it has been a busy week. I am off until after the first of the year, I am so excited to have some time off from work....I hope to spend lots of time creating! I have used the concord & 9th set called mittens & mugs and it is on SALE...it is an adorable set with lots of possibilities! I added stickles overtop to the snow stamped dots, soooo cute! I have played along with a couple of challenges listed below. A super fun card to create, I sooo luv using tim holtz distress inks...fun.
