  1. Hi, Teresa! Great blog candy...thanks! I'm vacationing at Nagshead right now but happened to get on the computer to see what was happening so had to comment quick and cross my fingers and toes to win. :-) Several years after we were first married, my husband REALLY surprised me with a new piano (he had it delivered to our place while we were having Christmas dinner at his mother's house. I nearly went into heart failure when I got home and found it sitting in our living room!

  2. My favorite Christmas memory would be the year my DH (when we were still dating) gave me a promise ring. It was sweet! 15 years later and I still love him to pieces! Thanks for the chance to win some candy. I always enjoy your work and your wonderful spirit! ;-)

  3. Hmmm... my most memorable Christmas was probably either the one in middle school where I got a horse (yes, I was one of those lil girls blessed enough to actually get a pony for Christmas! well he was just barely a horse, one inch over, but anyways)... that or the Christmas before last... my first one away from home, but my first one with my (at the time "future") in-laws... they really adopted me as the daughter they never had, I'm so blessed :)

  4. Awesome blog candy and wonderful christian music. It is so nice to visit another Sister in Christ Blog. My most memorable Christmas was when I was 11 years. I am the oldest of 5 children and times were not easy back then, but I had wanted 5 pairs of shoes for Christmas in the colors of Yellow, Turquoise, Orange, Green and Hot Pink. I knew in my heart that I would never get them as I had to understand that the little ones got more because they still believed in Santa. And you can only imagine when I awoke that morning to see not only two gifts but 10 for ME alone! My mother had taken on extra ironing while I was at school and made me 5 matching outfits to go with my shoes. I was just in awe and kept telling her thank you! thank you! When school started again, I felt so special to have new clothes with matching shiny new shoes and that God had intervened and made my hearts desire come true. God is Good! I have many more memorable Christmases, but this by far is one that will stay with me forever.

  5. Wonderful blog candy! Thanks for the chance to win!

My most memorable Christmas would be the year my DS was sent by the Air Force to Cali in November for a year, that turned into 2 years. I was sure it would be my first holiday ever without my children with me. On Christmas day he called me to tell me he would be home the following week for a few days. So, we celebrated Christmas a week later, both of my children under one roof.

  6. Please count me in, I love the sound of this blog candy. These two make lovely stamps! I do follow anyway, and will continue because I love finding neat new ideas here! Keep it up! My most memorable Christmas isn't a good one; it's the year my dad died the day after Christmas when we were all home, and it's colored most Christmas's since then, but I look forward to Christmas every year anyway! And it does get easier to get through too.

  7. I am one of your followers already. What great blog candy!
Boy...what was my most memorable Christmas...that is a hard one. My first really vivid memory of Christmas was when I was at my Grandparents farm for Christmas. I was probably 3 or 4. I had uncles that were only 6 and 8 years older than me. Anyhow...they had me so wound up and excited...that I actually believed that I saw Santa and his sleigh fly over the barn roof! LOL The magic of Christmas!!!

  8. My most memorable Christmas was this last one. It was my first Christmas where I had to come home- from college- and it made every little thing all the more sweeter. My mom's food is so much more delicious than dorm food! Thanks for the chance to win those adorable stamps- I love reading your blog in my reader!

  9. Thank you for the chance to win blog candy! I've bookmarked your blog and visit it once a week . . .

My most memorable Christmas? Oh dear. Maybe the year my DD was 3 1/2 and got a shiny red tricycle under the tree. We live in the desert - so it was lovely weather to go for a ride! We only got to the corner, when a car screeched to a stop and out jumps the driver dressed up like Santa Claus! He came up to my daughter and asked her if she liked her tricycle! She was pretty calm, and said "yes"! The rest of us were pretty excited by the whole event - Santa jumped back in the car and off he went!

  10. Let's see... oh... one Christmas I got up early to put presents for my parents under the tree... I heard them so I ducked into the spare bedroom..only to find a bike they had hidden for me!

  11. Lovely stamp sets and great blog. Thanks so much!

My most memorable Christmas was flying from Mpls. to Seattle as a surprise on Christmas Eve. We had just found out the week earlier that my mom had breast cancer so I wanted to be there for support. And now it's been more than 5 years cancer free for her. Whoo-hoo! So it turned out well, too, thank god.

  14. Love this post! My most vivid memory is visiting my grandmother one Christmas Eve and running to the window with all of my cousins looking for Santa and his sleigh in the sky. I remember believing in all my heart that he did exist. Today I realize the true meaning of Christmas is the birth of Christ and every Christmas morning my dd and I sing Happy Birthday to him. Thanks for the chance to win:)

  15. First off Teresa, I just wanted to tell you that I love visiting your blog. You are so talented, and your creations are amazing!

My most memorable Christmas would have to be the year I was 8 years old. My parents had visited Germany when I was a baby and purchased a doll for me. Mom had the doll in her closet in a shoebox and would pull it out for me to 'look' at, but said I could not have it until I turned 8 and could be responsibly careful.

Christmas that year was special for me, as I recall seeing that shoe box wrapped under the tree and knew what was in it...my Heidi-doll (not sure why I named it Heidi). I quickly and carefully unwrapped the box and opened the lid, and there she was....my beautiful Heidi-doll...the one I had adored and waited so patiently for!

  16. I love your blog. Found it several months ago and added you to my google reader and have enjoyed it so much since then. My most memorable Christmas was 1990. God blessed us with our daughter who was born on the 14th and it made our family complete. It was a wonderful Christmas. Although now that she's 18 and thinks that she knows everything, maybe I should rethink that! LOL

  17. I love your blog and visit a few times a week for some creativity boost. One of my most memorable christmas's was the year I was pregnant for my twin sons I had been hospitalized for several months for complications but the doctors let me go home for the holidays 7 days later I delivered 2 beautiful little boys(the best belated christmas gift I could get)being away from family made me really relize how important their role is in you every day life. Thanks for the chance to win and thanks for sharing your talents with us.

  18. Oooh, great blog candy :D Most memorable Christmas, hmmm....think one of them was when we still had our cabin up at Whistler and if you own a cabin you are able to chop down your own Christmas tree from under the power lines.

We hiked up a huge hill in our ski boots as we stopped after skiing to do it or it would be too dark and when we got to the tree location, we found the one we had picked out from the road the day before was taken by someone else!! So....off to find another near by. Got one, took it home and when we were going to take it into the house, the tree was about 6 feet too tall -- they look a LOT smaller out there against some of the other big trees! We had to cut off about 6 more feet of tree and then when we put it in the corner, the branches were so wide the tree would have been in the middle of the room so we backed it up and the branched bowed upward. It was a delightful adventure and a wonderful Christmas (can't beat skiing in great snow conditions either :D). Thanks for the chance to win!

  19. My christmas is always the same. Having dinner with family. I like that.
But when I have to work I eat my christmasdinner in the pantry, tray on my lap (I am a purser with a dutch airline)
Now if that ain't a memorable christmas....

  21. I came to see some great inspiration and saw this (so I'll have to go look at other posts too!)... my most memorable Christmas so far was actually '07. My husband and I stayed up late putting together our dd's play kitchen (stickers & all) and my ds's electric train set (modeled after his fave movie Polar Express). We had an absolute ball that night. It was everything I "imagined" in having children and giving them fun memories like I had on Christmas morning when I was a kid- except here I was a grown up getting all those memories too! My dh and I felt very blessed that night that God let us get a double dose (on Christmas Eve and again the next morning).

  23. Hmmm, I love Christmas so it's hard to choose just one. Perhaps one of the most different Christmases for me was my first spent away from my family--I also got engaged that Christmas! The next Christmas was my first waking up in my own home with my hubby, and having hardly anything under the tree--just each other. Thanks for the chance at the blog candy!

  24. Great blog candy!! It's really hard to pick just 1 Chrismtas!! I think one that stands out is the year both of my girls each got their favorite doll. Jenn got her Cabbage Patch Preemie and Cristine got a newborn baby that she named "Nipsey" all on her own. The picture of her waiting with baited breath for twist ties to be removed, is priceless!!

  25. Hi Teresa! Thanks for the blog candy offer! My most memorable Christmas would have to be the one where the entire family was able to be together right before my Dad died. It was awesome to have all that love in one room! Blessings to you!

  26. Wow, awesome blog candy. So cute. I can't say that my most memorable Christmas was completely happy, but it is a memory that I have never forgotten. I was 4 years old and we had lots of company (cousins, aunt & uncles, from out of town). My cousins and I were all put down to bed in sleeping bags and what not in a spare bedroom and told to go to sleep. I was the only girl cousin and the boys caused quite a ruckus. I was a goody two shoes even back then and they liked to get me into trouble any way they could! Well they wouldn't settle down and we were told the next person to make a fuss would get spanked. Needless to say, they caused a fuss and I was the one who got spanked. This is the only time in my memory I recall my grandfather spanking me, ever. I'm not sure who felt worse, him or me, because I was the apple of his eye and we doted on each other. Grandma and my aunt were in the kitchen baking late into the evening, so after the spanking I got lots of hugs, kisses, and homemade goodies to make up for being spanked. Sadly, my grandfather was not around for the next Christmas because he died. I don't think I'll ever forget that Christmas. My grandfather having to keep his word that he'd spank so as to not lose creed with the kids, yet not wanting to spank me. I'll tell you what though, by the time all was said and done, the boys fell asleep and I was the one who got goodies. LOL

  27. The first Christmas that comes to mind tonite is one back when my DH & I used to be gluttons for punishment and decorated the tree AND put the presents under it all on Christmas Eve - when our kids were small. In the a.m. when my DH went to carry our eldest son downstairs, well the look on his face (captured on film, natch'!) when he saw the tree and trimmings was pretty special, LOL!

  28. My favorite Christmas was the one we spent in a remote area of Chile. We went there to do trout fishing and to be as far away as possible from our work lives. It was such a peaceful and quiet Christmas spent with another couple who were staying at the lodge and the people managing the lodge. We exchanged simple Christmas gifts and had a Christmas dinner that was super tasty.

  29. Our last Christmas with Jeff, husband and Father to our kids, was so special. We did all the cookies, presents and church. The gal singing at church sang a solo that put me into tears knowing this was our last Christmas together. He is in God's glory now and the pain is gone. Amen.

  30. WOW what awesome Candy!!! I hope I win!!! Wow my most memorable Christmas wouls have to be the christmas that I moved to America...I remember seeing two huge boxes under the tree with a bunch of other toys, but the boxes intrigued me. My parents had either gone somehwere or were sleeping, but I remember ever so carefully opening one end of the box to reveal what was inside...my very own keyboard! I still have that thing...almost 21 years later! My kids now play with it and it warms my heart!

Thanks for the chance to win! I hope you have a FAB day!!!

  31. My favorite memory of christmas is funny for me... Christmas is my birthday so every time we spent Christmas with family we had to bring a birthday cake so... One year my dad was going for the keys and his hand slipped and fell right into the cake. It was a funny disaster, now I laugh.

  32. On Christmas Eve When I was 4 years old in Germany, St. Nick came to the door with a bag and a boot full of coal, being little I thought this was the real st. Nick it was the most exciting time of my life that first Christmas of memory. I remember him asking if I was naughty or nice :) of coarse I was nice.

  33. My most memorable Christmas must of been when I was 6/7 years old. I received boys long john underware and went to try them on and was all excited that I had a "pocket" up front. About 36 years later and I can still hear the adults laughing when I showed them the "pocket". Have a fabulous day!!

  34. Love your wonderful blog candy and thank you for giving me a chance to win!!!

I have soo many memorable Christmas's . If I have to pick I would have to say my last Christmas with my dad before he pasted away(I was 11 years old then). We always had the best Christmas with all of our family over and we would have a very nice Christmas Dinner, and then all gather to the living room and open our gifts.

Hope you have a very nice weekend!
    Hugs,
    Cheryl

  35. Hmmmm. Favourite? Just one? That's a toughie! I think this past Christmas in our new house has to be a favourite. I don't come from a tight knit family and neither does my DH. We get emotional when we listen to our 4 children making future plans of how they will get together and do a decorating tour of each other's houses and how we will help each other with food and then they go on and on with plans that include and involve each other and I realize I am blessed!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wow! Those are great sets! Thank you for your generosity. The winner will be a very lucky stamper!

My favorite Christmas memory is of Christmas mornings waiting for my parents to wake up. I have a brother and sister. We would make name cards the night before. When we woke up, we would hurry and put our name at the top of the stairs. This would determine the order we went downstairs. Of course, we all wanted to be first to see the presents first! And my parents took forever to wake up. When we started it, we would have to sit in our spot. Once we got older is when we were smart enough to use name cards. We went back to bed! LOL! That was probably more than you wanted to read.

  37. Oops... reading others made me realize I was supposed to remember one Christmas. Well, this wasn't all roses, but my most memorable will always stay with me. I was still young and still believed in Santa. I am the oldest so the others did, too. Well, we went to dinner at a restaurant 2 days before Christmas. While we were gone our house was robbed. They took all of our presents. My aunts came over on Christmas Eve with our cousins to play with us. My parents had to redo ALL of the Christmas shopping. The saddest part, now that I know the whole story, was that many of the gifts were our family portrait. So sad. Of course, when I was small, I only remembered being afraid to go to bed.

  38. Wow! Thanks for the chance!

I think the Christmas that sticks the most was a few years back spending the entire day with my family playing games and snacking. We had so much fun!

  39. Hi Teresa, Love your blog and your beautiful cards! My favorite Christmas memory is going to Frisch's for Christmas Eve dinner as a little girl. They had carhops then and we were served in our car. My sister and I used the back window shelf as our table and Santa always came by our car for a little visit and to drop off a candy cane. It truly is the simple things that make life great. Thanks for the opportunity to win!!

  40. OK, I just found your blog. Great cards! My most memorable Christmas was my daughter's 1st. She was 2 months old (she's 22 now!) and cried through the whole thing. She was colicky (sp?). Needless to say, there haven't been anymore Christmas tears for her. Thanks for the chance to win the great blog candy!

  41. oh wow - 2 sets from companies that i've been wanting sets from but haven't been able to order yet! thanks for offering them up!!

my most memorable christmas: i don't remember how old i was, pretty young. my mom was in a ceramics class at our church. i was sick right before christmas and i got to go with my mom to her ceramics since i was home from school. she was working on this really cool teaset (for kids) and i asked who it was for. she told me it was for her friend beside her - it was a christmas gift and she was trying to help her be sure it got finished. i asked if i could have one and she told me probably not--- would have to see.

on christmas morning, i opened that box and got the tea set. it was for me all along but she kept it a secret. i also got a gorgeous baby doll that year to have tea parties with.

  42. Well by far the Christmas of 79 will always be the most memorable Christmas for me. Our family had spent Christmas Eve by my parents with all my brothers, sisters and nieces and nephews. We were home about 1/2 hour and I went into labor. After about nine hours of labor and a few complications our youngest daughter was born at 6:30AM Christmas morning. They had to do a C-section but everything turned out fine. How's that for a Christmas blessing?
Thanks for the chance to win the wonderful stamps sets. Thank you for all the inspriation you give us with all your great posts too. I check everyday to see what have come up with.

  44. How sweet of you to offer this! My have lots of great Christmas memories, but I think '04 was one of he best. I have a close friend that a single mom, her parents are deceased and she doesn't have a lot of family. We have kind of adopted each other as family. That Christmas, it was just before I met my husband and she asked if I wanted to stay at her house and help her put together some toys and stuff. It was so much fun doing that and waking up with the girls and seeing their excitement.

  45. Hi Teresa! Aren't you a sweetie to offer these fabulous sets!!! I love your blog and need to make it a more regular stop!!! Wow... my favorite Christmas memory... well... that depends on whether you mean when I was a kid or ever. I guess my favorite memory is one Christmas when our daughter thought Christmas presents were done... we let her try on her new clothes, etc. and then we suddenly remembered there was something missing... She had to go on a hunt ... and at the end she found her first computer ... and some games to play on it. In those days that was 90% of what one did with computers! She was so surprised she cried. It's the only Christmas I remember her being that excited that she cried. We've been blessed with many happy Christmases... but that one stands out. Giving is a lot better than receiving!

  46. Hey fellow christian blogger! :O) So what's this "life group" that you talk about in your "about me" section?

Ok, so for my most memorable Christmas...that's a tough one! Every year since I've had children (my oldest will be 7 in Nov.) has been my most memorable simply because of the excitement I see in his face over everything. We do a lot of traditions and one of my faves is the Christmas Tree Elves. Each year when we decorate the tree "santa" comes that night and drops off some elves that stay in the tree and watch over the presents and report back to Santa whether the kids are being good or bad. At night while we sleep the elves come out and play with things around the house and they leave a little poop trail wherever they go. The elves only eat sweets so their poop is actually red & green M&M's. My son loves coming out every morning to see what the elves have been up to and where the poop trail is! LOL Sometimes they leave him notes or pictures but usually they just play with his stuff!

  47. My most memorable Christmas would be when I was 5 (ages ago!) and I woke up to it snowing outside. It was'nt much, but the ground was white and that was pretty exciting to a child when they've never seen it. :) Something about it snowing on Christmas day!

This may not be a big thing for some, but it sure is when your neck of the woods dont ever see it. :)

Hmmm snow would be nice here in TX right about now! :)

  48. Hi Teresa:) My most cherished Christmas memories are my parents and brother and I going out and cutting our own Christmas tree each year. We lived in Hawaii in the "boonies" and there was an old abandoned Norfolk Pine forest that we would go to each year and cut our tree from. Some of my friends thought our tree was funny looking not being the traditional pine, but I loved it as it was a tradition and something we had each put a little of ourself into.

    Wonderful giveaway:) Hugs to you!

  49. Hi Teresa,

I just came from stampinsilvia :) I love your style of cards - they're clean, uncluttered,, and have just the right amount of detail and embellishing! :) I would love to enter your candy opp....so, my most memorable Christmas (because it was funny) was when my 5 year old daughter found a Barbie Jean Jacket that I had hidden for her...and she said something about wondering if santa had been here early checking out her room...and then dropped it by mistake! lol!!

I drooled over them for several years in the Sears catalog, and lo and behold, one year Santa brought them! It was also very special because it was one of the last Christmases with my dad (he died when I was 8).

  52. Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year, I love everything about it! Looking back there are so many memorable moments. I will share one from my childhood. I have always been known to be a "cookie monster," and one year our great aunt made gingerbread boy shaped Christmas ornaments out of spice cookies(my favorite). I don't know how old I was maybe 4 or 5, and when I saw these ornaments on the tree....I snuck around to the back of the Christmas tree and just had to take a nibble. I know, looking back, eewww gross! But at the time I thought they were pretty tasty!

Thank you for the opportunity to win some blog candy, you make beautiful cards! I enjoy visiting your blog each day, your creativity is amazing!

  59. My most memorable Christmas was when I was about 13 years old and my parents bought me this burgandy velvet blazer I wanted so badly. I never thought I'd have it because it was quite expensive at that time and I come from a family of 9 so the odds were pretty slim. My mom knew how much I admired it and I don't know how she did it but boy was I surprized.

  61. My favorite Christmas memory is from when I was about 12. All I wanted was a Charolette Hornets Starter jacket. You know the pretty teal and purple one. Well, I had gotten all of my presents and that wasn't one of them. I was sad, but then my dad went into the bedroom and came out "modeling" my new jacket. It was awesome! I have to say, I love Christmas. My mom goes overboard on the decorations and we have a blast being together as a family.

  62. Thank you for visiting my blog. I have had a quick look around yours and your work is lovely, I will have a better look after I have left this message.
My most memorial Christmas was when I was 11, my grandfather had been taken into hospital the week before and was very ill so I was not aloud to see him until Christmas Day as a treat to both of us. I was brought up by my grandparents so they were extra special. On the day in question we arrived at the hospital to see him and I guess I saw a huge difference in him because I walked towards him, held his hand and then promptly fainted. When I woke I was in a bed and Santa was bringing round the present, he kept trying to give me a present and I kept trying to explain I was not a patient but he would not believe me. It sounds so funny now when I think back to it lol.

  65. My most memorable Christmas would have to be 2 years ago. It was going to be the first year our family was not all going to be together. My youngest and myself were sitting at the table and DH was cooking bacon and my DD called and we put her on speaker phone so all could hear/talk. Well my youngest was eating cookies that we always have at Christmas and my oldest said "save some for me" and it took us a second and we said "what" and my oldest said we are on our way to the airport we will be there in a couple hours. DH had bought them tickets so we could all be together, he was so proud he pulled this off he was crying over the bacon!! They spent the whole week and we had a blast, our GD was only 1 at the time.

  66. My most memorable Christmas was probably this last year...we had my entire family over and we just had a great time all day long. There was 17 of us of all ages and it was great! Thanks for the chance to win!
