Happy Birthday To My Sweetie!

Good morning, I Hope you are ready for another super cute cupcake to inspire you this week. This is one of my favorites thus far, I guess because it came at a perfect time. I need a birthday card for my dh and this snow couple reminds me of us, they are holding the little heart together...cuuuute! You can head over to Hope Stamps Eternal to see all of this weeks CIC37 creations. I also used WSC110 for my sketch. I used Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly designer paper. I used tag nesties for my little birthday tag. I added a pair of Cosmo Cricket Chipboard Snowflakes, I then added Crystal Stickles. I could not resist adding a little red heart, I will write on the inside "we are the perfect pair". The background is the plaid embossing folder, luv this set of folders.

Groovy Tree

I created this card for the totally fun Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, CIC28 and for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge, WSC102. I used this groovy tree from Verve Stamps, it is called Whimsy Tree, the colors I used are Prism Bianco, Burned, SU Melon Mambo and SU Razzleberry Lemonade dp. I did a little stitching and distressing on the back panel. The main panel I cut out with circle nesties and sponged with Momento Rich Cocoa ink. I added Papertrey Ink Razzberry Fizz ribbon, wow is this stuff ever fabulous. It makes the best bows, yes I tie my bows by hand. I get the sweetest comments about my bows, I will let you in on a secret, it is all about the quality of the ribbon. I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for". I added a button and twine to finish my adored cupcake challenge. If you haven't played along, check it out here and give it a try...you will think the cupcakes are yummy, I know! Enjoy your Saturday evening

Thanks So Much

Wow, I have been really taking advantage of World Card making Day, this is my seventh card since last night. This is for WCMD09D, to use Beate's Weekend Sketch WSC100, to make a thank you card, and to use Chocolate. I have had a great time playing along with all of these challenges. I used Verve Artful Elegance, I colored in the diamonds, added bling to the center of the scrolls, I added chocolate ribbon and a button. I hope you have enjoyed World Card Making Day! Don't forget to make a visit back in the morning for the Mojo Monday Sketch Card, this is a contest week, so there will be Verve dollars to spend for several winners.

Wishing You A Very Happy Birthday

I created this for Beate's WSC98 challenge and for Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge CIC24, I used greens and blues with a touch of brown. I wanted to use colors I don't normally use. I reach for my favorite colors most of the time so I challenged myself to use different colors. The little boat is Martha Stewart image and the sentiment is from the new Verve set called Wishing You. I paper pieced each piece of the boat, added SU certainly celery ribbon, button, and twine. I also scored up to the sentiment on the bottom base of the card, I so luv the look of scoring. I used the large SU oval punch for the Wishing You part of the sentiment. I hope you make time to play with Rachel's Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, it is quickly becoming one of my favorite challenges. You have until 9:00 pm Mountain time tonight to get your creation in to Mr Linky.

Winter's Wonders

I created this for Beate's WSC95 and for SCS WT233, to make a vintage creation. This is my interpretation of the vintage theme. I luv vintage Winter/Christmas cards so I made mine a winter card. I used basicgrey dp, sponging, wide chocolate ribbon and a button, and a little bling. The stamps are the Verve set Snowflake Splendor. I hope you like my take on the sketch and the vintage creation. Thank you for stopping by and for commenting. Enjoy your weekend!

Praying For You

This is for toady's IC194, we had to draw our inspiration from this colorful website called Pylones. I choose the bottle here to draw my inspiration; my card is not what I planned, but I did start with the bottle....lol. I wanted to use my new Verve background stamps, wow....they are fabulous. Perfect size and you can easily jazz up a piece of card stock in no time at all. I use my new flower set from Verve called Budding Blossoms. I colored it with my copics and then took a glitter pen and went over the blossoms. I added the ribbon, button to the side and the sentiment. The dp is from the new SU Thourougly Modern, this has got be the most beautiful combo of colors and prints...wow...gorgeous! This also fits Sharon's challenge to use polka dots ssnotime101 and Beate's WSC94. Enjoy your Satuday evening, it has turned out to be beautiful here in VA.

He Cares For You

I created this card for this past weekends WSC88, you can go to Jenn's blog to learn all the details, it is here. I really had fun with this one, I luv adding all the different panels and different dp's. I added SU filigree brads for the flowers rather than stamping blooms...I think it turned out sooo cute. I added a Martha Stewart butterfly to the circles that are punched out. Of course I ran my Janome over the back panel, I gotta get some sewing in there somewhere...hehehehe. I hope you like today's card and I really hope you have a wonderful day! Take time to hug someone today and say something positive to them, we all need encouragement and love, enjoy. You can see all the other WSC88 cards over at SCS here.
