Happy New Year And Many Blessings For 2009!

I am sooo excited about the New Year, God has so much He wants to do through all of us, I pray that we will all listen and be obedient! I have several things I want to share, a couple of things will be posted later today or tomorrow. I am not sure how some of you feel about personal stuff on card blogs, but I like to know a "little" about the people I follow. I think it is a great way to encourage and pray for each other and well, our creativity and who we are go together. I would luv to hear your feedback about mixing the two. I have chosen to share small pieces of my life, I hope you enjoy knowing and are lifted up! I have been a big supporter of Locks Of Love for about ten years and during this time have donated my hair four times. I do not have children, but I love kids and believe that they need positive influences in their lives. I do hope that you visit the Locks Of Love website and find out more about how you and your children can help.

Here is their info and all the details about hair donating

  4. I love your hair both ways, you are very very pretty, and very kind, that is soooo sweet of you to do that, I wish when I would have cut my hair that I would have known where to go to donate it. Thank you for sharing this with all of us!!!! I did loose my dad to cancer years ago when I was only 11 years old, and it is a very hard thing to have to go through. And one of my close friends lost her 3 year old daughter to cancer as well. So thank you!!!!

  14. I think it's a great thing to donate hair. You've done a great thing.

I also like personal stuff on blogs. That way it helps to get to know the person and it's more friendly and real. There's more to people than just cards. To be true friends we need to open up and share personal.

Congrats on the mojo sketch team. :)

  17. I love your hair, either long or short, it's a beautiful color and you are a very beautiful lady. Thank you for being a part of the "Locks of Love" - we have been blessed in that our children are all heathly but have friends who have had children with cancer - our daughter has been growing out her hair to donate as well and will be doing so soon. I like to have some personal information on a blog because it brings us closer together and allows us to be there for one another through the good times and the difficult ones. Without my friends, both online and non-online, I would be a complete basket case :) Love to you all and happy new year. Janet

  18. Teresa, Your generosity I am sure will mean a lot to someone. I have a friend in CA that donates as well. Personal stories and info on your blog is great. How else can we get to know our new friends?

  19. gorgeous hair. :) Blogs are extensions of who we are. I go with how I am led concerning my blog. Even in this we must seek God. I love sharing and love it when others share, but some may not, but we never know the person who drops by and is touched by something said. Words can changed a life.
    God Bless
    remember me in your prayers.

    Hugs!!

  22. Good for you! I also donated my hair to locks of love last year after my little cousin inspired me and told me what she had done. Mine is still growing back =) I usually blog about craft stuff, but I did post about my hair donation on my blog too.

  26. I did the same thing last year. I had all of my hair cut off too. I had always wanted to donate it to Locks of Love and I just up and had it all chopped off one day.

Your hair looks darling! I love it!

I even had mine cut shorter than you did and I'm happy I did it. Of course it is more work now I think!

  27. I like to interject personal tidbits into my blog as well, afterall we are so much more than a crafter and something we say may bring encouragement or joy to someone else who may need it at that time. Like your hair both ways.

  28. Love your new look! I am glad you are sharing more about yourself. I share a lot too and feel the LORD wants me to share more about what HE is doing in my life at times, rather than have it be ALL about ME. Have a great week, Teresa!

  29. What a great thing to do! I love hearing about personal items amongst the crafty stuff! I have never been able to grow my hair long---too thin & stringy, so I am envious of your ability! And such beautiful hair, too, so pretty! Thanks for sharing your story as well as your nice cards!

  31. As a breast cancer survivor who became bald as a cue-ball, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart! I always marvel at how wonderful people like yourself commit this act of kindness. Your hair was/is beautiful, both ways!!
    God bless you!

  32. Love your hair! And that you give your locks away is awesom! My daughter at 12 years of age had her first 'Hair cut' & gave all 12 inches to a similar organization here in Canada ~ Her hair was still long & she has since grown it all back...as a teen she is doing the layering thing with it ~ but often talks about growing it out again to give to a child ~ all this done on her own thoughts too! I am proud ~ And I have been blessed finding your blog ~ Will visit you often... Hugs Diana
