My Favorite Things Sketch-Aim High

I adore this MFT Pure Innocence image, I luv kites and the sentiments that come with it are fabulous for sending a word of encouragement to someone.  I paper pieced her dress and kite...coloring the rest of her with copics.  I added buttons and the new rolled daisy flower.  I used MFT felt for the flower and added a ruby gemstone to the center.  I also played with If The Shoe Fits challenge to use ruby...I used lots of red on my card.  I hope your day is awesome....enjoy!

MFT-Sending Love

Hi friends, I have created a card today using the MFT sketch and the new large rolled flower die from MFT.  This die is makes gorgeous flowers, I also used the MFT butterfly die and stamps.  The colors are the gorgeous combo from The Play Date Cafe.  I added Prima lace down the center and a punched border edge.  The papers are Websters Pages and My Mind's Eye.  It is back to work for me tomorrow, I have been able to be with my dh the last couple of weeks after his accident.  He is doing well, still dealing with headaches, but we are praying they will subside.  Thanks for the sweet comments, well wishes, and prayers for us...we appreciate it very much!  I will be sharing my sneak peek tomorrow of the new Layers of Color Stamps, I am the guest designer for them this month.  Be sure to come back and visit, with each comment to each designers blogs you increase your chances of winning these new stamps.  Have a great evening...enjoy!

My Favorite Things Sketch-A Message

I have a card to share using this weeks My Favorite Things Sketch and the inspiration photos from Moxie Fab.  I had not used this gorgeous typewriter image yet, so I was reaching for it as soon as I got started....it is so vintage and real...luv that.  The sentiments that go with this set are awesome too....be sure to check them out!  I added black stitching for pop, distressing, crinkle ribbon, and a black button pull it together.  I was inspired by the polka dots, stripes, and distressing in the photo.  I hope you are having a great day, it is almost the weekend...woohoo.  My little message for you.......Be grateful in all things...enjoy!

Wishing You The Sweetest Things

I created this card to be able to play in a new challenge, it is called Friday MashUP.  This weeks challenge is to use black, white, and make it a sqaure card.  I used the sentiment from My Favorite Things set Polka Dot Greetings.  I added a button to the tag and covered it in glass glitter.  The butterfly is the SU Bigz die, I have gotten so much use from that die....it is a favorite of mine!  I added a gemstone to the center of the butterfly, used the MFT dainty dots die and bakers twine to complete my card.  The size of my square cards are 4 1/4 x 4 1/4.  You can still use a A2 envelope with this size if you choose, I buy 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 square envelopes to fit perfectly.  This was a fun card to make and it is available in my Etsy Shop if you so desire.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend....enjoy!

Masculine Card-Praying For You

I played along with several challenges to create today's masculine card.  I really should keep more manly cards on hand, they are like sympathy cards; it seems I never have enough if my stash.  I like to use stars for manly cards like I use flowers on all other cards.  I used My Favorite Things sketch for this one, using the star border die at the bottom.  The sentiment is from the new Verve set Faithful Phrases.  I used black burlap sting and tied it with a chunky brown button, distressing, and a little stitching complete my card.

It is back to work tomorrow, it is a short week for me and a super long weekend ahead.  I get Friday and Monday for Easter.....I am looking very forward to it!  I have had to work the last three weeks without a week off...lol.  I am hoping for another week off come the first of May.  Hope your evening is great...enjoy!

Sweetest Things

Good evening, I wanted to try my hand at this months MFT guest designer position, the theme is shabby/chic.  I also used the MFT sketch, after tweaking it a bit...hehehe.  I was recently given a gift certificate to MFT and I got the set I am using today, Polka Dot Greetings; it comes with the die too....how great is that?  I used distressing, stitching, lace trim, crinkled ribbon, and my beloved glass glitter.  I used the MFT rosette die to make my paper rosette flower.  I am headed back to work next week...sigh...I will work a couple of weeks and try for another week off.....yippie!  I hope you have a great start to your week and don't forget to come back in the am for my Mojo Monday Sketch card......enjoy!

The lace and bling flourish is by Prima, I used crinkled ribbon and a button for a bow.  The popular burlap string is peeking out from behind the bow...I luv this stuff, it is great for lots of things.  Have a fun filled night....enjoy!
