Mojo Monday Sketch

Good morning, I am sharing this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch, Mojo156; it is actually one of my sketches(thanks Julee for using it).  I flipped it to make a taller version of the sketch.  I used an older SU designer paper called Sweet Slumber on the back panel and then paper pieced the balloons with the same solid matching colors.  I used stickles on the balloons for a little dress up on the card.  I will be sending this card to OWH to celebrate their month long birthday celebration over at the Stars & Stripes Blog, otherwise I would have used gems or glitter.  Anything that can fall off is not acceptable for sending to the soldiers.  I hope that you can play along with this weeks mojo sketch and pair it up with the OWH celebration.  You can also win free Verve in the process, find out more here!  I hope your Monday is the start of a fantastic week...enjoy!

Curtain Call Colors-Operation Write Home

Good morning all, this is a long post but I have some exciting news to share and the information here is important.  The awesome news is that I have the humble and honored opportunity to help Operation Write Home Celebrate there birthday this month.....yippie!  I am going to encourage you to play along and submit your cards to OWH.  They are having challenges everyday and prizes, you can read more about that here.  My challenge is up tomorrow and of course there will be prizes, you will have two chances to win.  I have made a birthday card today to wish OWH a very happy birthday!  I have made two cards, the first card cannot be sent to OHW, it is square.  There are guidelines you must follow when submitting your card to send to the soldiers, sending only A2 cards is one of those guidelines....you will need to go here and read all about that.  I also tend to make my cards a little cas(plainer) because of the whole shipping thing.  Remember these cards will be shipped at least three times.
I have used this weeks Curtain Call Colors Act47, they are great manly colors.  I was thinking about the women who serve when I was making these.  I made my own ticket, I do not have a ticket die yet(notice I say yet...hehehehe).  I took kraft paper and cut it to the size I wanted, clipped the ends with my SU punch, and then distressed the ends.....so easy!  These fit  Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, ssnotime156; challenge, to make it manly.  I also used the sketch from OCCSC31 a week or so back, the stamps are Skipping Stones Designs, luv this cake!

For this card I used the same Curtain Call Colors and the sketch from Taylors Sketch Challenge, TESC127.  I flipped the sketch and used all Verve stamps on this one.  Be sure to give the Curtain Call DT some luv and I cannot wait to see what you create, you have plenty of challenges to get your mojo flowing.

Verve Project Parade-Hero's

I am so excited to share with you today's cards....Verve's Project Parade is going on and you still have time to get you "Hero" themed project in for your chance to win.  The deadline for getting your project in is July 30, you can load your project on this Verve post.  To see my completed project(there are six cards) and to read all about it, head over to the Verve Blog.  I chose to make cards for the men and woman serving in our military, Operation Write Home is a great way to help.  They are wanting some help with a half/half project, you can read about that here.  There are some guidelines, it is super important that you take the time to read them in your effort to help.  You can read all about it here.  NO glitter is a huge guideline, you can read about that here The cards must be marked Operation Write Home on the back, I made labels on my computer.  Only A2 sized cards and the tuck of the envelopes are also important, you can read about that here and watch the video.  These ladies put forth a huge effort to stay organized and keep it uniform, lets help them help the men and woman in the service....true hero's!  I used a sketch from the dirty girl challenges for the card on the right.
