Playing along with a couple of challenges, the inspiration photo from Cure For The Monday Blues is very interesting. I had fun with my card using the peg board, pink, and yellow as my inspiration. I wanted to use a sweet hanging tag, like something hanging from the peg board. The cute tag stamp is from Clearly Besotted....adorable! I used the sketch from Freshly Made, sweet CAS card and lots of fun! Add a little glimmer to your life.....sparkle & shine!

I have created this card using my new stencils from Simon Says Stamp called Seeing Spots Stencil Set.  I also used my new Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine....LUV...I sprayed it on the stencil and then smoothed it out with a sponge for a not so polished look...LUV! I used the My Favorite Things Stamp set, Smile. I had fun with this card using the black, gold, and pink color combo....if you would have asked me a year ago to use gold I would have folded...lol. I have really embraced gold and I must say I truly luv it! Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine!

I adore the sweet products from Lawn Fawn, totally cute creating supplies! I have used the darlin tag set called Birthday Tags and Grand Greetings. I have added two cute hearts clipped with a tiny clothes pin, a few enamel dots, and ink pad swiping around the edges of the base of the card. A few strips of washi tape at the top to add a little more color. Be sure to stop by the Simon Says Stamp design team blogs and see what they have created.....super talented gals! A super quick post, I have been trying for three days to complete this card. I have bronchitis...don't smoke and never have....aaarrrgggg...it is awful! Let me start by saying, the using texture is one of my favorite techniques; I could seriously use texture all the time. I really get into the process of texture and more than that, I cannot take my eyes off the card once it is complete. I have used lots of different forms of texture, some are very subtle; but for me that is what I like best! On my card today I have used texture in lots of ways, embossed background, torn edges on white piece, curled down corner with a tiny piece of patterned paper to draw your attention(LUV THIS), Wendy Vecchi embossing paste, rolled edge of flower, 3d foam dots, gemstones, and glossy accents. Boy, wasn't that fun, I know I luv finding new ways to achieve texture, I cannot wait to see what you create this week! Add a little glimmer to your life.....sparkle & shine!

Just A Quick Note

I luv when challenges fall together sooooo perfectly, I was inspired by the Curtail Call donut holes, the colors, and the sprinkles. The CAS(E) this sketch was perfect for cutting out the hole, I used multi colors and Tim Holtz white stain spritz and a few silver beads for sprinkles, soooo cute! The colors today from SCS where a wide range, I used three of them; mint, coral, and kraft. Have you heard of Cards For A Cause? We donate unused cards to organizations so that they can give them to others, to encourage and give thanks. It is very rewarding and heartwarming. So many challenges and so little time.....I know most of you know this, but I luv a good challenge! I can't think of a better way to those creative juices flowing, can you? I have played along with several challenges today....what fun! I have used the sweet sentiment set from Clearly Besotted, Sweet Little Sentiments; I just adore the handwritten fonts....waaaaaay cute! A super fun card to play along with the Retro Sketch, I luv the long straight panels. I used some embossing paste, washi tape, and twine to bring it all together. I wanted to use green, black ,and white for my card...I adore black and white together especially paired with one other color. I used the Crafters Companion hello die for the sentiment....soooo fun! Hope you are staying warm and dry.....super cold here with snow falling....eeeckkkkk. I am off this week so bring on the snow.....it is gorgeous(creating inside where it is warm....lol) Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine!

Here is my card for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, I also played along with the Card Concept, using the freestyle collage technique. I have used the Verve stamp sets, Hope Blooms and Be Blessed. I adore this sentiment, what an inspiration this would be to the recipient. I am home this week and hope to get some cleaning done and of course some creating! Cherish Each Day!

Good morning friends, boy is it cold here in VA...wow...as I type this it is 5 degrees...brrrrrr. Sure hope you are in where it is warm! I wanted to play along with several challenges, the list is below. I have used a fun little stamp set from Heidi Swapp...eeecckkk...I luv it! It does not have a name on it, just the #98155. I have used a yellow Prima flower, I was inspired by the SCS IC480 and this picture. I used Simon Says Stamp Washi Tape and put it on white card stock and then cut the leaves out...luv it! I am also playing along with SCS Cards For A Cause OPTIONAL Challenge this month to use yellow. If you have not joined us for the fun, check it out here, we send our unused cards to a different organization every month. I also played around with my Sprectrum Noir watercolor markers, have you seen them yet? I used the yellow one from the Primary set to color the yellow background..I luv'em. I colored a little on the watercolor paper and then went back with a watercolor brush and smoothed it out...so fun and easy! Add a little glimmer to your life....sparkle & shine!
