simon says stamp/flowers-it's a beautiful day to start

Be sure to check out the Simon Says Stamp Store!

Hello and welcome to this weeks simon says stamp wednesday challenge, we are challenging you to spring flowers and/or showers. The design team is using products from primaDon't forgot every week at Simon Says Stamp we give away a $50 voucher...wooohooo....now that is worth playing for!

hello friends, I am playing along with the gorgeous inspiration photo by fusion this week...I adore the beautiful red and fuchsia flowers against the ole' grey truck. I was inspired to create my card in the same fashion. I have used a distressed polka dotted stamp from prima for the background and then I sponged with altenew grey's over top. The tag is also from prima and I have used a combination of reds and pink inks from altenew to achieve the look. I added a pink fresh studio sticker sentiment. The off white flower was also sponged with ink...so cute. I have used taylored expressions felt and a simon says stamp leaf die for the flower leaf. A super fun card to create, I cannot wait to see how you are inspired.

Pink Paper Flower

I have created this for the SCS Cling To Challenges, HYCCT11; to make a paper flower.  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL111, this is a super sketch, I designed mine on a tilt.  I added a little bling, gotta have the bling....hehehe.  These style of paper flowers are my favorite, you use a scalloped circle punch or nesties.  Cut out as many layers as you want(I normally use five, you can use more to make it fuller)  Scrunch them up, stack them, add a brad, and start squishing them together.  The photo below is from of our motorcycle trips this week....doesn't it look so peaceful...I luv this photo.  This church is nestled in the surrounding mountains where we live.  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments...enjoy!

Embellish Challenge-Embrace Life

I created this for the Embellish color challenge with the use of squares.  My tiny squares are in the black and white designer paper.  I adore this paper and only have a small piece left.  I used the Clean & Simple Sketch, FTL106.  I uses an embossing folder background, I made a paper flower and added a huge gem to the center.  The tiny button adorns the sentiment tag.  Thanks for stopping by, I hope all is well with you...enjoy!

Mother's Day Cards

Happy Saturday evening, it has been a cold, dreary rainy day here.  A great day for staying in and creating, wouldn't you say?  I had a few requests for Mother's Day cards so I did a little creating in that direction.  The first card is for Unscripted Sketches #52 and for today's IC229, I chose the earrings here.  I was drawn to the colors and the book page that they are hanging on.  I bought some old Guideposts at the Goodwill and have been using them for book pages.  They are daily devotionals so they have scripture and great inspiration.  Enjoy!

Delight In Life

Good morning it is mojo time again, Marie has brought this fun Mojo135 sketch to us this week.  I did very little stamping, only the sentiment from Verve's set Miracles Blossom.  I made a paper blossom using the SU flower punch and curling the ends, so simple and so sweet!  I added a button to the center to complete my creation.  I hope that you will play along with us this week.  This is a big week, it is a Verve release week and Julee has come up with some great challenges.  You can learn all about that over at the Verve Blog.
or the SCS fourm. Keep an eye out for sneak peeks this week.  Enjoy!

Express Yourself

If you are looking for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge, CIC55 scroll down one or click here.  I made this for the Card Patterns #60 sketch, for the JUGS29 color challenge, and for the fun new game over at SCS QFTD05.  The person being honored this week is Sue or Coffeestamper.....I wanted to make a coffee card. She had this wonderful link where you can get this coffee cup for free.  You can get yours here.
I am totally being stretched with these colors, I am not a purple gal, so I am not real happy with this card, but hey it is a challenge right?  The sentiment is from Verve set Express Yourself.

I also want to share my card I made for the Splitcoast Fan Club Theme of Vintage, CT0410 this is really hot now.  I also wanted to use the sketch that Mary Jo offers on Monday's, TSSC117.  I really did start with this sketch, I know it is not exactly, but hey I have always been one to tweak sketches..lol....even my own!  I played along with  Jenny in her first Wee Memories Challenge, WMC1; it is an inspiration..  When I saw the photo of the umbrella, boots, and flowers I knew I wanted to play along.  I wish I could play with every challenge, everyday but it is next to impossible, there are so many challenge blogs out there.  I do like the variety and it keeps us motivated and moving forward, so for that I say thank you!
My card today, has no stamping, can you believe it?  I used a quote that I found on line and printed it in Word and I must say I luv it.  I sure would like to have it in rubbah...hehehe.  The umbrella card is a flash card by K & Company, they are so adorable.  I used an old piece of a book page for a tab and added a button.    I hope you are having sunshine in your world today!  Enjoy.
