Verve Good Buy 2011 Sale

Dare To Get Dirty Challenges-Day 7

 Happy Friday everyone, my favorite day of the week becasue there are two more favorite days to follow...lol.  I have had lots of posts this week, remember the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges have been going on all week.  Please look around to be sure to see all of them, I wouldn't want you to miss anything.  I hope you have been playing along with the "dirties" great challenges.  If you have not played along with the Dirty Dozen gals, now is your chance.  You can become a Fan Club Member here.  There are several challenges everyday and you have until Monday August 8 to complete your entries.  I have helped out Jami Sibley with this challenge, so be sure to look for it today!  I have used today's Viva la Verve sketch brought to us by Andrea....you can join us for that fun here.  I kept this one on the CAS side...I luv this sketch it can be used when you need a super quick card!  I used the Life is Good Plain Jane from Verve, added distressing, stitching, and the bakers twine.  My blog will have at least one new post everyday for the next nine days...wow...I told you gals I was busy....lol.   I am having a blast though, I luv what I am doing and the companies I am designing for!  Verve is having a HUGE Anniversary Release and the peeks will start on Sunday...you don't want to miss this one!  Hope your weekend is full of fun times....enjoy!

Dare To Get Dirty Challenges-Day 6

Good morning, I am sharing another Lil' Inker card that I made for the Dare To Get Dirty Challenge that I am hosting.....you can read more about it here.  If you can not open that link, you may want to consider becoming a Fan Club member, you can do that here.  I hope you will join me and play along!  I am so excited to share this card, I have made a handmade flower using none other than the Lil' Inker Sentiment Flag Die....yep, I cut out about 20 flags to make my flower.  You can use less and make your flower smaller.  You are probably thinking,  "wow, that is a lot of cutting"...but the Lil' Inker Die will cut through three layers of SU card stock at a time.  Not so bad, huh?  I scrunched them and formed them together using glue dots...a gluber would work great!  I then added glass glitter and spritzed it with Smooch.  I completed my flower with a button, I hope you like it and will try one of your own.......I will surely be making more of these!  I am headed out for the day with girlfriends...I am looking forward to getting out and having some fun and laughter.  I want to share this verse with you, it is from yesterdays Proverbs 31......enjoy!

Square CAS- hi

Hi friends, I hope you have had a great weekend, mine has been fast but good!  I wanted to play along with a couple of CAS challenges, the CAS106 from Monday is a sketch.  Today's FS211, Cookie has a CAS style; I chose her card here to case. I used Saturday's IC272 as my inspiration, the site is wall art.  My piece of designer paper is similar to the art on the walls as it makes the room and the gorgeous print makes the card.  I also played along with the Etsy Inspired Challenge, using this sweet clay pot as inspiration, the ribbed top is like my letters and similar colors.   There is no stamping on my square card, I used cardboard letters from JillyBean Soup.  I did stamped on them and also added glass glitter the the letters and the edges of my card.  A super simple CAS card for me today.  This is also fits this months Dirty Dozen theme, "Days of Our Lives" I hope you will play along with us!  If you cannot see the gallery consider joining SCS as a Fan Club Member.  I hope you have a fantastic evening, be sure to check back in the morning for my Mojo Monday Sketch card....enjoy!

A HUGE Announcement!

I have a HUGE secret to let you in on, I have been keeping this under my hat for several weeks......I have been asked to be apart of the Dirty Dozen Team on SCS....oh my goodness!  This is such a dream come true, I have the honor of sharing this with the sweet Pat Smethers!  You can read all about us here!  My card here says it all, it was one of the ones I made for the Dirty Dozen Theme of "Days of Our Lives."  Thank you to everyone who has supported me and believed in me!
I am sharing a card tonight using a new stamp that Michelle has added to the Stampers Dream Store.....this heart is adorable, it is from Impressions Obsessions and it is called Dotty Heart.  The sentiment is from the JustRite set Sympathy Nested Sentiments.  I added my favorite chunky glass glitter to the edges of the heart, a Prima Flower, and the Maya Roads pins.  I used the fun designer paper from October Afternoon called Modern Homemaker.  To complete my card I used bakers twine and lace.  New items ordered from CHA are filling the Stampers Dream Store, be sure to check them out!  I used the sketch from today at My Favorite Things, these sketches are great!  I hope you have a fabulous rest of the week....enjoy!

Dreaming of A White Christmas

I created this for the Dirty Dozen Sketch Challenge and the theme challenge of music.  I have been singing "I'm Dreaming Of A White Christmas."  We got snow a couple of days ago and it has been so cold that there is still snow on the ground; that might have to do, but I would really like to have fresh snow...hehehe.  I used the Curtain Call Colors Act61.  I will be home this week and plan on posting something every day....now that I have told you that I will have to stick to it...lol.  I used the gorgeous snowflakes from the Verve set Glad Tidings and the sentiment is from the set Merry Wishes.  I added glitter to the snowflakes, I can hardly make naked snowflakes anymore...hehehehe.....I am so luvin chunky glitter.  I used stitching and my EK Success border punch on the bottom.  I tied it with bakers twine, I figured I had better start using the bakers twine instead of collecting it.  I finished it off with a SU button.  Make the most of your day and time with family, the days go by so quickly...enjoy!

Curtain Call Colors-Butterfly LOVE

Hello friends, I am sharing this weeks gorgeous Curtain Call color combo....very rich looking, don't ya think?  I kept it rather simple, but I really like the way my card turned out.  I did add that fabulous glass glitter again; yes, I'm hooked on it!  I wanted to play along with the Dirty Dozen Sketch Challenge and there "well read" theme challenge.

I am sharing two cards today, they are both scripture cards using Verve stamps.  I am believing these scriptures today as my dh and I head back to the hospital.  Most of you know my dh had open heart surgery back in March and we have been battling a few minor things since the operation.  It has left him with no energy and feeling a little hopeless.  Well, today we go and that are going to get his heart back in rhythm, we are praying for the correct beat and for it to stay in beat....please pray that with me.  Thank you so much!

Be Full Of Cheer

I have a couple of cards to share to finish up the 33 Dirty Girl  Challenges...whew!  The challenges have been a blast, the last card I had to make was a Christmas/Winter theme.  I used only chipboard on this card, using Amber's sketch from the Viva la Verve on July 16, the inspiration came from the Snowman shower curtain here.  the bottom card is using an Inkadinkado set called Petal Expressions, I used a Verve sentiment.  i added the fibers and Tim Holtz die for the bottom.  I picked up a few things on my shopping trip yesterday that I have been wanting.
  We do not have stores around here that sell the "good stuff" and sometimes I do not want to pay the high shipping prices.  I should do a group order with my girlfriends from time to time to share in the shipping.  I hope you had a wonderful day...enjoy!
