A Warm Hello-Prism

Good morning, I created this card for Prism Papers, I have been guest designing for them for the last three months and have so enjoyed working with Jaime and Tami and all the DT from Prism, they are a wonderful group to work with and for. Prism is looking for a new guest DT and you can learn all the details here, be sure to find out how you can be considered for Prism, it is soooo worth it! I also will be giving away Prism card stock next week, so be sure to check back to learn how you can win. Our theme this month has been texture, for the texture theme this go round I used my favorite way to add texture, distressing and scoring. I use distressing on most of my creations, but added heavy distressing to this card. Prism papers are the best, I luv how they look once it is distressed and these colors bring out the distressed look even more plus they look totally fabulous together. Most times when I add distressing I use my scissors, it seems to make a finer torn edge. I have a new Scor Pal and like adding lines to my projects too, it can be very elegant looking or aged looking. Of course I used my favorite Prism color Burned and added contrasting colors to bring it all together. To see all of my creation head over to Prism.

Elegant Birthday

I created this for Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and I am happy that I was able to fit this sketch in before we head out for the weekend. My demo delivered all of my new SU goodies from my party...I got tons of free stuff. I luv the new SU madallion, it has so many options. I heat embossed it on the new color soft suede and added the circle embossed on bermuda bay. I made this an elegant birhday card and with the touch of black it really pops. I hope you like my take on Karen's sketch and you can learn more on her blog The Sweetest Thing.

A Simple Thank You

This is a simple thank you card I made for my MIL, for being so kind on my birthday. I wanted something fun, I used the flower image from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps called Dodle Flowers, I stamped the flower so that it is laying on the side and stamped the thanks under the stem. I added ribbon with a cute button, I have found a new luv for buttons; they really do look sweet added to cards. I didn't used to like them when I used them but thought they where adorable when everyone else did, isn't that weird? Well, you will be happy to know they are working for me now...lol. Have a great evening, dh and I are headed out of town on the motorcycle for the weekend....woohoo!

Congratulations Joanne

I created this for today's fabulous FS131, Joanne; I have always admired her work, her style is amazing. I was inspired by her gorgeous card here. I change the shape using the Label 3 Nestie, added the ribbon, and made mine different colors. Speaking of colors, I used Stacey's Curtain Call Act 2 color challenge. To use bravo burgandy, mellow moss, so safron, and white; I have waited until the last day to get this challenge in, I have been avoided these colors. I really like them together, but just was not having inspiration to get my mojo going. Well, until I saw Joanne's card, as soon as I saw her card I new what I was going to do and with what colors. I used the Verve flower, the SU leaf embossing die, and so safron ribbon. I hope you like my take on her beautiful card! Enjoy your day and ask God to show you where you can spread a little sunshine in someones life today!

Happy Thanksgiving

Good morning, it was a cool 58 degrees when I got up at 6:00am, so I thought it is fitting to make a Fall/Thanksgiving card. Fall is my favorite time of year; I luv the mornings anytime, but I especially luv them in the fall. Today's LSC232, you have to use an image that is food and only use papers that are the names of food. My image is from Stampin Up Happy Blessings and the paper colors I chose are Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, and Very Vanilla. This was a fun one, I hope you have time to play. I colored, distressed, sponged, and done a little sewing on this one. I am very pleased with how it turned out and will send it to a very spacial friend this Thanksgiving. Enjoy your day, it is Friday, I hope that means time with family that is filled with love and laughter! For a little fun, tell me your favorite season and why, I enjoy reading your comments and thoughts!

Winter Wishes

I created this for he Viva la Verve challenge VLVAUG01, to case one of the Verve Diva's, I chose Amy Sheffer. I luv Amy's style, it is so detailed and anybody that knows me, knows that I am all about the details. I chose her card here to case. I kept the same basic lay-out, making mine a Christmas card. This dp is gorgeous, you really don't have to add anything, it is K & Company's Christmas Cheer. I got it last year at Michael's. I used Verve stamps Poinsettia Christmas , sewing, distressing, and added a cute little tag. I put glitter on the poinsettias, but I not sure if you can see it; they are real shimmering IRL . Enjoy your day and get started on those Christmas cards, come December you will be glad you did....hehehehe.

Holiday Cheer

The theme for Prism papers this month is texture, we are creating projects or cards that have texture. The great thing about that is whenever you use Prism papers you are using texture, it is fabulous card stock.

To see all of my creation go to Prism Papers For A Lifetime.

I used a selection from the Seaside line today called Kelp M404, it has a great leaf like texture, perfect for my mitten card. I used Blush Red Dark R049-E and ran it through the Cuttlebug with the swiss dots folder for more texture. I added ribbon tied in a bow and I stamped, colored, and cut out the mittens. I then added glitter and raised them up on glue dots to give depth and texture. I hope I have inspired you to use texture and get started on your Christmas cards, *wink*....I know some of you think I'm nuts Christmas in August, hey I like to be prepared.
