Let It Snow.......More!

All I can say is......Woowee....we have gotten so much snow. The pictures in the post under this one, does not tell the story tonight, it snowed for over 26 hours here. I will have more pictures tomorrow after it is daylight. We do not have church tomorrow; dh and I, along with our dog Jessie will be digging us out......that will be fun! This is one of the biggest snows I have ever seen....I do luv it though. Everything is cancelled and shut down.

For my card I used the Clean & Simple Sketch #72 and the Embellish Color Challenge. I used the embossing folder I got from HSN on the top portion of my card, the chocolate dp is older SU. The snowflakes are a background stamp from Verve called Snow Wonderful as well as the sentiment. I added a few pearls, some SU dazzling diamonds and finished it off with button and twine. This is also fits Our Creative Corner Challenge, OCC to use snow or a snowflake theme. I hope you like my creation and are inspired...enjoy!

  1. Wow Teresa-- this color combo is awesome! It's so fresh and unexpected for the holidays-- and I LOVE it!

I think you and I are on the same snow boat-- we're at about the 2 foot mark now. Being from eastern NC, I haven't seen anything like this before! I remember it snowed a lot the year we built our house (6 years ago), but it wasn't all in one day like this..... we are definitely snowed in!! Have fun digging out tomorrow!

Oh yeah, and I got your note about an event out our way. I'd love to try and do something like that! I don't really know many stampers around here, but surely there are some!

  4. Great colour combo. I really do have to check out that HSN for these EFs!! This one is lovely on your card. I'm so excited because I get this big scalloped punch for Christmas :D

Your snowfall sounds like ours last Christmas. We got about four feet in total. I have NEVER seen that much snow out here on the coast of BC! It was mind boggling!! Thankfully, the snow was dry so it was a lot easier to shovel than our traditionally wet, heavy snow -- though shoveling four feet of the stuff is no treat, believe me LOL! Since I was the only healthy one in the family (rest had the flu) guess who got to do ALL the shoveling LOL! The Christmas lights on our shrubs out front got totally burried and the poor cat was beyond depressed because he doesn't do snow, and even if he did, he would disappear as it was so deep LOL! Enjoy the beauty of it all because it will seem like a dream when it is all gone.

  14. Gorgeous girl!! And I'm laughing about your talk of all that snow on this post!! You should go check out my submission for this challenge - I did a digital scrapbook page titled SNOW? (what's that?) where I journaled about the fact that my little Maui boy Dean has never even seen the white fluffy stuff!! LOL! I can't even imagine all that snow!! I have been worried it might rain tomorrow and we wouldn't be able to enjoy our family tradition of spending Christmas Eve Morning at the beach!! ha! One of these days we'll have to take a family vacation somewhere on the mainland for the holidays so Dean can experience a White Christmas!!
