Todays Jazz album is by Joe Lovano and we are to use the colors red/orange, yellow, black, and white. I used the new stamp from SNSS called Birthday Buddies, these are super cute images for coloring and make great Birthday cards for kids of all ages. Big Bloom

Good morning all, I luv the mornings. It is sooo peaceful and relaxing, I like to get my cup of joe and sit outside on the deck and enjoy the scenery....aahhhh! Well, I hope your day is off to a great start. Todays card is for the JAZZ11 challenge, Tenia has brought to us an album by Charlie Parker called Charlie Parker with Strings. For those who do not know who Charlie Parker(Bird) is/was.....he was a great alto saxophonist...probably the best in the Bebop era in jazz, to here this great album head over to the Jazzy Challenge Blog, Tenia has it playing for your enjoyment. Well as you can see the colors of the CD are: basic black, real red, yo-yo yellow, and white. I used summer sun instead of yo-yo yellow and riding hood red instead of real red. I hope you have time this week to play along with us, you can see all the other Jazz Cats creations at the Jazzy Blog.
For my card today I made one of the paper flowers that I made last month. You can head over to Emilys Blog to see how they are made, super easy and fun! Cut out imperfect circles, distress, sprinkle with water and crunch them up, then let them dry, add embellies and then add to your creation. I think they really make a statement with these colors.
My card is also for The Pink Elephant Challenge #13 to use circles and scallops, my scallops are distressed edges of my flower..hehehe, head over to play along with TPE gals, I am sure they would luv to see your creation. I hope you have a wonderful day and hug someone today and tell them you love them!

Here I go again telling you this is one of my favorite sets, but it is true! I am sure most of you, like me could not pick just one stamp set as a favorite. We can have lots of favorites, right? The scripture stamp is from the set called Love of a Friend. I stamped the cattails onto the dp, stamped the little frog, colored him with markers and layered in on three curly label cut outs.
