Seeing Stars-Ready Set Stamp Verve Challenge

I have a couple of Father's Day cards to share, the first is using Sharon's Stamp Simply Challenge, it is a sketch this week, ssnotime144 and for the Color Cue color challenge.  I had forgotten where I found the Color Cue challenge, but I found it today...yeah!  I saved it in my side bar with all the other daily challenges.  I used the Verve stamp Seeing Stars, Julee has posted the new Ready Set Stamp Challenge using this set Seeing Stars, you could win a $30 gift certificate from the Verve store...wow!  That is a challenge worth taking, don't ya think?

Stamps:  Seeing Stars and Dad's Day(Verve)
Paper:  Bazzil, Hawaiian Shores(PTI), Old Olive, Tangerine Tango(SU), and Bella Blvd Designer Paper
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Tangerine Tango(SU), and Hawaiian Shores(PTI)
Accessories:  Ribbon, Janome, Silver Star Brad, SU Stars Die, and 3D Foam Squares

My second card is for the Curtain Call Color Challenge Act34 and for Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge, EBTKS17;  it is a sketch.  This sketch was perfect for the simple Father's Day card I needed for my Father in law.  It had been a long time since I played along with the kitchen sink gals, if you have time check out their fun challenges!   I adore these colors together, I kept it simple but added textured by embossing and distressing.  The sentiment is from the Verve set Dad's Day.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend planned, dh and are going to take our first motorcycle ride of the year.  Since he has had his surgery he has not felt like riding, we will have a nice relaxing day on the bike, stopping for lunch and shopping if the mood hits....hehehe.  Enjoy your weekend!

Just Because

Good morning, it is mojo time again and this is a contest week. So show us your best mojo creation and you could win free Verve. To get all the details and to load your creation to Mr Linky head over to the Mojo Monday Blog.
I am super excited to share today's card for several reasons, one I adore this SU designer paper and the Verve set Love's Flower, no I am not tired of it yet....lol...you guys are probably tired of me using it...lol. The second reason I am super excited is because this is also for Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge #5 to use a box top. I used an empty glue dots box and cut out the heart shape an added SU chunky glitter. I add a pattern for the heart from an empty chipboard heart I used from Melissa Frances. I adore this idea, now I can make hearts shapes or any shape from chipboard and put any type of embellish I want on them...so cute. Thanks Winter for the challenge! I hope you gals have a great Monday, can you believe it is already February and my favorite non Christian holiday is fast approaching.....I am so mushy and gushy....show some "love" today! Enjoy.

I have needed lots of sympathy cards lately. This sketch is perfect to keep it a little more simple. This is my first time playing along with Stamping 411. Have a wonderful day....enjoy!

Good evening, wow do I have the challenges to bring to you tonight. Both of my cards tonight are Sympathy, I need a couple and need to get some in a stash. The first card is for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, MTSC57. It is also for the Color Q challenge, CQC16, to use burgundy, rose, pink, pumpkin, and white. I used some of my new SU sets. The flowers and the row of flowers are from the SU set Vintage Vogue. I used silver beads in the centers. This also fits today's WT254 to cut it out. All of the flowers are cut out. Check out the post below for another card using several challenges, one which is new to me Stampin Royalty.

I stamped, colored, and cut out the new Verve flower from the set Love's Flower. I added Crystal Stickles and a pearl. I popped it up on glue dots. The gorgeous flourish is from Memory Box. I didn't count my card base as a layer......hehehhe...I hope that is ok. Have a fabulous evening...enjoy!

Secondly, don't forget about the Hope Stamps Eternal Design Team Call, you can get all the details here or here. We would luv to see your best creations! Lastly, Verve is having a release coming up next Friday Jan 15, you don't want to miss it...sneak peeks will start Jan 12 and you may want to keep your eyes open to the Verve forum this Sunday.

For my card tonight, I used Amber's Viva la Verve Sketch and new at home with Verve inspiration....I hope you have time to play. There are so beautiful foyers and entryways to inspire you. I used this block rug to inspire me. I also used the challenge from Everything But The Kitchen Sink, EBTKS6; to use wrapping paper. I used the gorgeous tissue paper that your new Verve stamps will come wrapped in when you place your order. I made the popular paper flowers and added some SU dazzling diamonds to them. My card has some stitching, embossing, and of course I had to add ribbon......I hope you have a fabulous weekend....enjoy!

Patterned Pines

It is getting so hard to keep up with all the fabulous challenges out there. You know I luv a sketch challenge and there are tons of them. I have been combining lots of them together, but I am going to start posting more than one each post, I am running out of days of the week...lol. The first challenge I want to tell you about is The Color Throwdown #69, this is my first time playing along with these gals. The colors are wonderful for Christmas so I made Christmas cards to add to my growing pile, but hey I will need everyone of then.

The first challenge up is Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch, SSSC45, I adore this sketch, perfect for quick cards. The second sketch is a brand new challenge it is called Everything But The Kitchen Sink, EBTKS1. There will believe two challenges per month, you can had ove and check it out.

I used in these cards the new SU set that has the three trees, I cut them apart to make single trees and can stamp them together if I want. I am taking all of my SU sets and making them "naked", (taking them off the wood mount) and then I will be able to adhere them to clear blocks. Have you heard? SU is going red rubber acrylic mounted, I am totally thrilled and cannot wait to order my first "naked" set....hehehe.
Be sure to come back in the morning I will have the Mojo Monday Sketch for ya. Enjoy your evening!
