Exquisite Embellishments Blog Hop

I am over the moon happy about today's post, I have been waiting to share with you for months....I finally am published!  I do not submit my creations regularly for publication, so I am very happy to be part of this group of ladies! The book is available starting today and we are having a hop to celebrate; I am so thrilled to welcome you to the Exquisite Embellishments Blog Hop! The idea and the master mind behind it, is no other than  Keri Lee;  this is her second book publication.

Here is a few words about the book in Keri Lee's own words, "I have to also thank my AMAZING TEAM OF DESIGNERS!!! These pages are once again FILLED with the talent and creativity of some of the top designers in the paper crafting industry! And so without further ado I present to you "Exquisite Embellishments for Paper Crafts"!!!  Isn't it GORGEOUS????? The cover boasts art work from three different designers who have been featured in the book, Sherry Wright, Kandis Smith & Sharon Reinhart. And let me tell you that is just a taste of the delights that grace each and every page!"

Would you like to see a few more projects?  Below is a list of the designers who were able to participate in the book and take part in the blog hop today too! Be sure to leave a comment for each and every designer as we will be drawing not one, not two but THREE winners at random. Each winner will receive their very own copy of the book absolutely free! The more comments you leave the more chances you have to win! :) Have fun hopping!

Frilly & Funkie Challenge/Alter It

Good morning, I am sharing the new challenge from Frilly & Funkie; today's challenge is hosted by Sue, it is Alter It!  Here is what Sue has to say about the challenge in her owns words......."We've all got ordinary, everyday items in our homes that would benefit from some love and attention, right? So, this is the challenge, take an ordinary item, doesn't matter whether it's been bought especially to alter or if you've got something sitting on a shelf that you've had your eye on just waiting for the right moment.  Using your craft products, transform it into a piece of art,  let your imagination run wild!"

I think most of you know I am getting a little crafting studio(area) makeover, it is not completed yet.  The second part needs to be started and completed, my husband has been helping at our church for the last couple of weeks, that has been the hold up.  But, I have been busy feeling up the area that is completed and coming up with different ways to display my creating supplies.  I had this old  pencil/pen box and did a little makeover on it.  I am very happy with the way it turned out.  I have used some fabulous goodies from the Funkie Junkie Boutique to complete my project.  I painted it, added the sweet doily trim(luv this trim), the lace. and sprayed it with Mr Huey's!  I will store the longer dies in it, I cannot wait to see what you alter!  have a super day...enjoy!

Frilly & Funkie Challenge/RePurpose to UpCycle

Hello peps, I am super exciting about today's post, why you ask?  Because I adore my finished project, I do not say that very often about my own work...lol.  It is time for another new Frilly & Funkie challenge, this weeks is repurpose/upcycle.  For the challenge, use at least two repurposed items to create an upcycled paper project,  I have used the tin and the alpa letters I had lying around.  I cannot wait to see what you create this week, don't forget to head over to the Funkie Junkie Boutique and catch great shipping deal Linda is offering!  If you are like me, I luv to save on shipping!

Here you can see the sweet little typewriter alpha letters.  I didn't have a "t" so I took the "i" and turned it on its side...it gives it much more character, don't ya think?  I black out the bottom part with a sharpie marker....too cute!  I have used the amazing dies from Tim Holtz, I adore the shapes and sizes he has to offer, check them out here!

I am remolding my creating studio (lol....area)...it is a slow process, but anyway I thought my new upcycled tin would look great on my new shelves.  I have added scissors for the photo, but not real sure what it will house once its in place.  I hope you have a wonderful day....enjoy!
